Jeeva Klui Resort Lombok

Lombok, Indonesia

The hotel

Along the sands of Klui Beach, this boutique retreat delivers an authentic Indonesian experience – taking its cue from its luscious Lombok location. One moment you could be perfecting your yoga poses in tropical island gardens, gazing at views of Mt Agung; the next taking afternoon tea with Indonesian snacks at Waroeng, a dining venue designed to feel like a traditional village long house; and the next drifting off during an ancient Javanese healing massage, before a dip in the spa’s adult-only pool. Other popular swimming spots here include a snorkelling-ripe reef close to the hotel’s 170m stretch of sand, and a fabulous beachfront infinity pool, framed by a timber deck and the ocean. And it’s all shared with just a handful of guests, as Jeeva Klui Resort features a mere 35 suites and villas.

We just returned from a great 4 nights at Jeeva Klui. The beach, grounds and pool were fabulous and the breakfast was amazing, so many yummy choices and decent coffee! We stayed in the beach front villa with a 4 month old and 2 year old. There was plenty of space, they provided a cot and we brought one ourselves, even with both set up the villa was spacious. I’d say we actually had the best room in the resort, it was the one in the pictures on the website. Stay beach front if you can but the other villas behind also had some ocean views. For your information the beach front villa (there a only a few), beach front suits and the ocean front villa are all in a row. The difference is the villas are individual bungalow and the suits are 2 levels. My friend stayed in the ocean front villa which was the same as our villa but it is located next to the restaurant and pool. She had no issues with noise. The beach was clean, some small waves, my 2 year old would swim with us no problem. A lot of people were snorkelling and said there were some fish to see. There are guys selling tours, sarongs, sunnies etc. They were friendly and were not a bother - they did poke their heads up and try to get you over but they left you alone if you were not interested. There were lots of couples and some families like us with young kids. It was perfect for us as when the babies were sleeping we could sit on our huge day bed out the front, order food for lunch or dinner and relax or just pop to the pool for a quick dip. We ate in a lot and there was great tapas for lunch and the dinner and deserts we couldn’t fault. Also excellent kids menu. Thank you to Dini for her wonderful babysitting and the rest of the staff - even the gardeners and security guard played with my 2 year old. Only a few small things to stop me from giving 5 stars - I love a dark room for sleeping and it was not possible with the glass window above the sliding doors. I know some other rooms don’t have this. Also our villa had no drying rack for towels/ swimmers. And lastly the spa was often booked out, more staff needed for this. We can’t wait to come back, minus the kiddies. Thank you so much for having us. Read less

I really enjoyed the sunset at the restaurant, friendly employees. There I met the General Manager (Fathan). The General Manager very friendly and humble. I took a tour to the waterfall, the tourist spot was very interesting and very beautiful in nature. I really enjoyed this tour and want to feel it again. There is a set in their room using soap bottles and shampoo which is very interesting. I want to buy and bring it home, but it can't be. I tried asking to buy the bottle because I also have a business in my country, and I plan to buy enough for the attractive bottle. Read less

Can I start by saying I’ve never written a bad review before but I left with a bad taste in my mouth after staying here. Can I start by saying I’ve never written a bad review before but I left with a bad taste in my mouth after staying here. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are lovely but I accidentally knocked over a shampoo bottle, as it’s an outside shower and they charged me almost 20 Australian dollars, I know that’s not a lot of money but for a little bottle that probably costs $5 - it was just a bit unfair after spending lots of money at their spa and both restaurants. The other issue was I booked a tour through them to the waterfalls - it was not even a tour - just a driver ... asking me where I wanted to go. I had asked for a tour with lunch etc. it was $100 Australian ... I should have just got a taxi for half the price, but I pointed to it in their booklet and they booked it for me. It’s a lovely hotel but lacks heart 💔 Read less
