My friends and I visited the hotel one night for drinks. The hotel was built in 1930, on a hill overlooking El Malecon and the Caribbean Sea. We sat outside, enjoying the beautiful evening and the breeze from the sea. The only downside was that we had to pay in cash, since they did not accept our credit cards.

If we had to pay more for here I wouldn't be giving it 5 star review but we paid £82 for a executive double suite with breakfast and the value for money was amazing. We had a large suite with a 2 TV's with cable TV, a sitting area and 2 bathrooms both with a large bath and shower. The air conditioning was the best we've ever had in cuba and… Read more

The air conditioning was the best we've ever had in cuba and actually had to turn it off as it was too cold!! The breakfast was fine, everything you would normally get in a continental breakfast. A grand old building that certainly leaves and impact. It may be a little tired in areas but for value for money we couldn't complain at all. Read less

The hotel itself is very historic however very time worn and old and in need of a major refurbishment. The rooms are extremely old fashioned and service is abysmal. The food...where do I even start is horrendous from the breakfast to the pool menu, customer service is something that they probably have never heard of. Upon check-out they wanted to charge us for 2 bottles of water which we did not even take, we had to spend 10 minutes till the room attended checked we did not take anything from the room before we left and the receptionist argued with us to pay. She did not even bother to ask us how our stay was. Do you research well before you decide to stay here. Would definitely not recommend. Read less
