Very good level of service, I really like the bar outside, very nice cocktails , for Cuba is a luxury hotel. I have been there 2 nights and the room service was good , only bad note is still very old style , so not for you if you want something more modern

I have to tell that I was impressed by Hotel nacional. We got a Historical room (225), very nice, great service, and super clean. The hotel breakfast (included) had fresh food and a lot of options. We loved to stay here. Amazing garden to relax with your family.

I enjoyed the beautiful grounds, pretty vista, palatial interior, and especially the Cuban Missile Crisis exhibits at the Hotel Nacional. It is well worth a visit even if one is not staying at the hotel.

Great time at nacional. The history Of the hotel along with so much of the hotel stuck in the 1950s is spectacular. I stay in top hotel chains and am spoiled. Don’t expect the same. But expect different. The quirkiness of the property with so much history trying to catch up with times. The mix is different and is what makes this place… Read more

Some reason they didn’t make our beds until mid afternoon. Mojitos could be excellent, but have to stay on top of it. The outdoor patio is to die for. It is so nostalgic set in a courtyard with sofas looking into the Caribbean with palm trees and peacocks. Again - different. But tbat is the reason I came to Cuba. I didn’t want the typical tourist experience. I wanted history and water and nostalgia. I got it all. Being at the Nacional sets the mood. Read less

My room was flooded (I’m fairly certain this was not a new problem) with water pouring from the ceiling. I then had to move rooms in the middle of the night with no appology or help with luggage. I stayed at this hotel as a treat following a trip travelling around Cuba. The staff were unfriendly and often rude, most did not speak any english. My room was flooded (I’m fairly certain this was not a new problem) with water pouring from the ceiling. I then had to move rooms in the middle of the night with no appology or help with luggage. The room I moved to had a big gap at the window so was very noisey and drafty with the wind. Breakfast was poor at best, with no table service even for tea and coffee and the hot food made me sick, ruining the last day of my holiday. They kick you off the internet the moment you check out and then to buy a 1 hour card is 4.50 CUC (normally 2 CUC). I did this as I had a late flight and was unwell, I was then challenged by the doorman as to how I had got onto the internet and whether I had used it. It’s a beautiful building with incredible views and quite an experience but I would reccommend a passing visit rather then wasting money to stay here. Read less
