I stayed at the hotel from 3/18 - 3/21. Admittedly, we're in the middle of a pandemic crisis, but my feedback is about issues completely unrelated. Check-in was smooth, all staff in the hotel were friendly. Guestroom was standard size, fine for me and 2 children for 3 nights. Partial ocean view was lovely. Bathroom was "just okay" because standard repairs and caulking were poorly done, it gave a shabby impression of the entire space. After returning into my room on Day 2, I almost called down to say were were overlooked by housekeeping - because our beds hadn't been made, bathroom hadn't been wiped down, and carpets unvacuumed. Then I noticed fresh towels and empty trash bins and realized - oh my, this is their version of "making up" the room. Pathetic. The next day, it was just a towel exchange. Housekeeping did not appear to be understaff; if this WAS the case, the front desk could have communicated a scaled-back housekeeping plan and offered Hyatt points to affected guests. Next, I purposefully paid more for this hotel reservation by booking directly with Hyatt (could've gotten a much better deal on Expedia). I did this so the breakfast buffet would be included. Well. Again, I wish that they would have noted on the website - the buffet was boxed cereals, juices, ready-to-heat oatmeal. Really sad excuse for a buffet, but I understand that - due to food service restrictions - things needed to be scaled down. But Hyatt made no mention of this to us at booking time or check-in time. The last day, we went down for breakfast and were handed a brown paper bag with..... drumroll..... a PB&J sandwich, a granola bar and small bottle of water. Like we were going on a kindergarten field trip. That was it. And this was after Florida shut down restaurant dining rooms - so we really had no option to grab food elsewhere. Guests were, more than ever, depending on Hyatt to provide a good breakfast. No one thought to send a staff member down to the Publix to get fresh fruit? Juices? applesauce? Like, it *created* a problem for us. The whole experience left me questioning if Hyatt is just losing their hospitality edge or if this is SOP? One last thing: the beds are TERRIBLE. LIke, what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn in 1980. Thin, coiled mattresses, just couldn't get comfortable at all. Read less

Nice beach, pool & hot spa were very nice. Didn't eat there except for breakfast which was typical of a motel. 9th floor, had a nice room. good view. A/C worked well, a hair noisy. Fridge was noisy so I shut it off at night. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. All the staff friendly. Only negative was a pesky smoke alarm. Started chirping one morning,… Read more

That night at midnight stated again. Front desk man changed it out immediately, no more chirp. Would recommend this place. Read less

It would have been nice if the hotel could have had some amenities like chairs on the beach for their guests. The pool was very nice, the hot tub was over run with little kids and the water was pretty ugly, the jets did not work so it did not circulate. The hot tub was a communal hot bath, it was tinted, guess from all the kids. I am sure it would qualify as a science experiment. Honestly, we didn’t care to use the hot tub but it was fun to make comments about it, it provided the family with a lot of laughs as we people continues to go in and out. The pool was very nice. The first room we received was occupied by a family so we went back down to get a different room. Our next room had no wifi & no service. We went to the front desk 4 times until they eventually moved us again. We ultimately gave up on the wifi working

If you want to enjoy Daytona Beach this is the place to stay. Parking is tight but good restaurants within walking distance. Staff was available and very pleasant. Felt very safe and welcomed. Highly recommend.
