Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

The hotel

The only thing between this hotel and Daytona Beach is its fabulous shore-side pool deck. Looking out over the ocean, it stretches down to a handful of steps that lead you directly onto Florida’s most famous sands. It’s a view that’s also captured while you’re dining on seafood specialities at Doc Bale’s Grill, tucking into street food inspired dishes at The Blind Turtle, and enjoying at tipple or two at McCoys Rum Room and Waves Beach Bar. But it’s not all sun, sea, and sand at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort — you'll also love the gym, spa, and prime location among the shops and entertainment of Ocean Walk Village.

I called and booked a room with an ocean view and balcony, clearly stating I wanted to sit out on it. When I got there, they informed me the room had a French balcony (you can't go out on it). After final speaking with a supervisor, they gave me a room which had access to a rooftop (with chairs with bird poop on them) that had a wall, so you could not see the ocean. So, beware if you are wanting a balcony, you cannot sit out on it. Also the room (I think it was 803 or 804) was outdated, with a small bathroom, and a toilet seat that did not match. The bed was old also, with lumps and indentations. Also, they automatically charge you a "resort fee," even if you are not going to use the facilities. Read less

Overall a nice resort, fantastic location, great dining options. Insufficient seating for breakfast at peak times during weekdays so there is a considerable wait if you don’t go early. Bedrooms are antiquated and could do with some modernization, therefore four stars instead of five. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. The young… Read more

Bedrooms are antiquated and could do with some modernization, therefore four stars instead of five. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. The young hostess and waitress Christine at Don Rico’s was the most polite and sweet person ever, and we asked about adopting her as our fourth daughter (of course she wasn’t available for adoption, unfortunately). I’m not sure what the big deal is about this place you don’t get treated good and pay an arm and leg for anything you do want. I brought my daughter and friends for her 13th bday and we get here at 3 (lady who checked us in was rude and unfriendly) can’t check in till 4 finally get to our room and it’s a shoebox not to mention for the amount of… Read more

I brought my daughter and friends for her 13th bday and we get here at 3 (lady who checked us in was rude and unfriendly) can’t check in till 4 finally get to our room and it’s a shoebox not to mention for the amount of money I should be able to see the ocean so I tell them I asked/paid for a bigger room the lady was nice and switched us rooms however it was 6pm before my kids and I could even enjoy anything here while they waited to swim all day. Then they say valet is $24/night but the next morning you’ll wake up to a $42 bill $15 just for resort fees wtf is that. If you want anything from them it takes 20mins plus the rooms are dingy and blah I literally hated everything about this place If all other hotels wasn’t full I’d of asked for my money back and went down to the Roomba in. All in all I was not at all satisfied with ANYTHING about Hilton. Read less
