Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

The hotel

The only thing between this hotel and Daytona Beach is its fabulous shore-side pool deck. Looking out over the ocean, it stretches down to a handful of steps that lead you directly onto Florida’s most famous sands. It’s a view that’s also captured while you’re dining on seafood specialities at Doc Bale’s Grill, tucking into street food inspired dishes at The Blind Turtle, and enjoying at tipple or two at McCoys Rum Room and Waves Beach Bar. But it’s not all sun, sea, and sand at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort — you'll also love the gym, spa, and prime location among the shops and entertainment of Ocean Walk Village.

I’m not one to write a scathing review , however this hotel needs and deserves it. Trying to help future people from being scammed. This Hilton is a 4 star “resort” , looks to be about a 700+ room facility with two towers . The grounds are very nice . That’s where it stops. I’m not one to write a scathing review , however this hotel needs and deserves it. Trying to help future people from being scammed. This Hilton is a 4 star “resort” , looks to be about a 700+ room facility with two towers . The grounds are very nice . That’s where it stops. In my opinion they do not have enough people to run a resort . The lines for any service you expect at a resort are horrendous. Valet parking , lines snaked down the road allow a good 50 mins wait. Morning coffee.. aside from breakfast buffet there is ONE place to get a cup of coffee, It’s their market place. 2 people working expect to wait 45 min for a cup of coffee between 8am and 1030 am . Saturday- one place open for lunch or cocktails .. 2 bartenders on duty for the whole hotel during the day .. 2! .. adult drinks or lunch you stand in line a minimum 40 mins . We wound up walking down the beach off property perhaps 1/2 mile for lunch and some cocktails. Pool up on the 5th floor .. water was cloudy , very very cloudy and people were swimming in it. One of the first times I actually sought out management , who said simply it was out of the ordinary they had people call out sick , one with broken arm. It was unavoidable. That was an excuse and not correct according to other who had been dating the whole week. Speaking with a very nice bartender , she told us they can not find workers and were down 50 people. I understand not finding proper staff, but throttle the occupancy, shut one tower. They change full fare and not deliver service. Charge a 35 rate for valet parking and don’t want to use it due to burning up hours. Charge a resort fee and can’t get drinks or lunch at a reasonable time frame . They simply do not deliver. I certainly do not mind paying resorts rates, that’s why I selected this property but expect services .. they charged the rate and knew they could not deliver .. that’s what I call scam. God knows how clean the water was in that cloudy pool or how clean the sheets I was sleeping on. Sorry to say, I would stay away until they either shut down one tower , become fully staffed and deliver services. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Don't Stay Here if you value your very difficult to earn Hilton Honors Points

Aug 1, 2021 ete0504 Imperial, Pennsylvania

This hotel is dirty from top to bottom, completely understaffed in all areas, especially the front desk, very expensive with regard to the amount of Hilton Honors Points needed to stay as well as the actual out of pocket cost for parking, a so called "Resort Fee", and the cost of a mediocre breakfast which costs about $25.00 per person.

When we arrived we had a lot of things and we were looking for a cart to take everything in the hotel. A young man a name Chris, he’s the bellman, loaded up the entire cart for us and showed us the way to the room. Because we are Diamond members with Hilton we got an amazing upgrade to a cabana room down on the first floor. He showed us a shortcut to get there and unloaded the entire cart. He gave us things to do in the area even though we have been here before. He embodies what employers are looking for. Professional and helpful!!! Read less

This was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Visible grime, dirt, and filth covered every surface. The bathroom smelled HORRIBLE! We checked out early because it was so nasty. Daytona Beach itself is just not a great place to be. There was nothing around to eat and all of the restaurants at the hotel were closed because the hotel was so short staffed. They said it was because of “illness”. You mean COVID? No one had on a mask and it was just a sea of gross people in a gross hotel. Avoid this place at all costs! Read less
