Not only is the hotel completely outdated with deceiving pictures but so is their equipment and staff isn’t helpful. I just spent less than 10 minutes in the jacuzzi and my brand new bathing suit that’s over $100 lost all of its color. I just spent less than 10 minutes in the jacuzzi and my brand new bathing suit that’s over $100 lost all of its color. I spoke to the manager to see if they use bleach instead of chlorine or if she could check the levels and she said she’d ask the engineer department. Wouldn’t recommend this place. I would definitely choose something closer to pier 60. In addition, the food at the restaurant in here came out cold and wasn’t very appetizing. Read less

Very disappointed that in times of COVID hotel didn't have a single outdoor venue open for such a large property. Pool cafe was closed .... but even then hotel should have at least one more option to eat outside. We had to box our stuff from Rusty's and sit outside next to the parking lot to eat. Paid a lot to get a substandard hotel. Room was dated and the view was over the parking lot. Despite being a loyalty member didn't get any consideration for a higher floor. We had two rooms booked. Guest services managers were responsive but didn't offer any recourse. Read less

There was a volleyball tournament going on and clearly there was no limited capacity at the hotel. I ordered food to go and the restaurant was full to capacity with folks not following any code. Very disappointed in how the hotel manages this issue. As a titanium elite member for Marriott I will NEVER stay here again. Read less

We are currently staying at the Sheraton Sand Key. We arrived yesterday and were supposed to stay 3 nights. Over dinner tonight, we booked another room at Disney a day ahead of schedule and will be leaving. If you are a Marriot person or have status with Marriot this hotel is a HUGE disappoinmtent. Most of the time we are upgraded upon arrival, which we were not this time. While this is not a dealbreaker as we planned to spend most of our time out of the room the rooms are old, dated, and well-worn. This is the most underwhelming Marriot property we've stayed at. The staff is nice but this is not a Category 6 hotel. I would give this 0 stars but that wasn't an options so we'll give it 1 star. The staff seems fairly friendly which makes up for this old dinosaur DYING for a makeover. There is not much to do around here and while we are fit we didn't mind the longer walk to the beach. It has beach access and a beach view but if you think it's right out your door, you'll be disappointed. There is no table service or bartenders that will serve at the pool or beach. The pics of this hotel on the website definitely have filters and must've been taken when the property was built. We had lukewarm showers after spending the afternoon at the beach. If you've read this far the last piece of advice we'd give is FIND ANOTHER PROPERTY, maybe not one in Clearwater. Read less
