If you choose the Sheraton Sand Key primarily for its location, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's on a beautiful part of the beach. If you choose the Sheraton Sand Key primarily for its location, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's on a beautiful part of the beach. The views from the rooms facing the pool or the coast are fantastic. I love the huge, unspoiled stretch of white sand that connects the resort to the Gulf. If you find the walk too long or too hot, a golf cart can whisk you down to the water. The pool area is also nice. It's attractive, but not stunning. There's a snack bar, regular bar (no pool waiter service), hot tub and baby pool in addition to the main pool. During our October visit, the pool was very busy, so it's too bad the pool itself is not larger, but there were plenty of sun loungers available. The hotel is in a great area. You can walk across the street to a shopping center with a Columbia Restaurant, a diner, boutique, gourmet coffee shop, etc... You have the Gulf on one side of the road and the bay on the other. A state park/public beach is adjacent to the hotel, so the beach does get busy. It's very convenient to Clearwater Beach, but not nearly as crowded and hectic. The hotel rooms, bathrooms and lobby are dated, but are very clean. Unlike other hotels we've stayed in recently, housekeeping has not been suspended during the pandemic. Speaking of Covid, I was disappointed 98% of the guests we encountered were not wearing masks or using the elevator with only members of their party. There are signs in the lobby asking guests to please wear masks, and the staff certainly wears theirs. The Sheraton is a great option for your Sand Key/Clearwater/St. Pete vacation. Read less

Micah was very helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We couldn't get the rooms we wanted but he was able to upgrade us to something very similar and provided us with excellent service! Great experience overall and would recommend this place to friends. definitely coming back in the future .

We honestly thought we had an amazing weekend even do the lobby did not respect Expedia booking and we ended paying 349 us for a room that was advertised as 260, we pay and try to avoid this issue just because we want to have a nice time there. But tonight we ended on ER with my 2 year old who develop a fever because it’s full of bedbugs bites. My husband and I are full of bites too and desperate!! What a nightmare!!! I really think this hotel should do better with the cleaning and disinfecting because it’s not fair to pay so much to have this poor experience. I strongly advise you if you are allergic or disgusted by bedbugs and mold DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Read less
