Hair in the bathroom, bathroom door barely closed, rust on the door jambs, Sliding door to balcony didn't close well and to lock it you had to a use a flimsy hollow metal bar that had sharp edges all over it, didn't get room service one day and the AC would only go down to 74 and 73 respectively in each room. When you have 4 people stuffed into a room and its 108 heat index, this is unacceptable. For Marriott to say this is a class 6 is not based in reality. I've had much more pleasant stays in class 3's and more physical room in almost ANY Courtyard or Marriott I've stayed at, without an upgrade. Read less

This is a great hotel. It's my favorite! We always have such a good time. The starf is so kind. The amenities are great. The pool wasnt too crowded. The beach is very nice, almost secluded in a way. The food was good too. Best of all, everything was clean and housekeeping was great.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The majority of the staff was super kind, friendly and helpful. The pool was awesome and we had drinks at their tavern and ate breakfast at their restaurant. Both were super yummy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Here are the positives: great beach away from crowds, beautiful place to watch the sunset, very good service and fairly priced. Negatives: pool is the size of a postage stamp made worse by the fact too many people who are not hotel guests use the pool, rooms are very dated (scene from the 70s) location is not walking friendly. If you want to experience the excitement and area of clearwater beach this is not your hotel, but if you want peace and quiet at a great beach this may be for you. Read less

This hotel is very high priced for what you get. The rooms are older and need updating. Hotel claimed they could only clean your room every 3 days due to covid. Logically, it would seem they are trying to save money with cleaning, not sanitize/clean to try and be "safe" due to covid. I am staying at a boutique hotel nearby and they offer a choice of cleaning schedules from every day to once a week based on guest preference. The boutique hotel is half the cost of the Sheraton with a better pool. There are only 2 microwaves available for guest use for 9 floors of rooms here which is kind of gross to begin with. They are communal, used by all guests and clearly rarely cleaned. The "covid procedures" at this hotel appear to be more cost cutting than true concern about health and safety. If you are are traveling for business or as a couple, the pool area at the hotel is very small for the number of guests. The whole time I was there it was like romper room and adults couldn't even enjoy a dip in the water - morning, day or evening. Hot tub is also unusually small for the size of the hotel. The pool area was packed with children and families wall to wall at all hours of the day. Positively, it's nice to be off the beaten path of the chaos of Clearwater Beach. There's a trolley that runs between the hotel and downtown that is very convenient and free to hotel guests. One thing to note is that the trolley does not run very late, so if you get stuck downtown after the last run, it's a 2+ mile walk back or atleast a 30 minute wait for an Uber as they are hard to come by. Hotel staff and bartenders are great here and do provide good service outside of the housekeeping issue. Read less
