Overall, I would recommend RumFish Beach Resort by the Trade Winds. There are ultimately more pros that trump the cons in this resort. The staff is friendly, and they have plenty of perks included in your "resort fee" Setting up, I booked for a one day getaway with family. I believe I spoke with Joe. The process was smooth, and we booked the partial gulf view room. Upon check in at 1pm, the room was not quite ready yet, which was understandable considering their check in was at four o'clock, however you are able to enjoy the property while waiting. Joe called quickly to ensure a early check in within 20 minutes of exploring. We ended up in room 3821. The room was equipped with a full size fridge, two stove burners, microwave, plates, and tools to cook, two extremely comfortable beds, couch, dining table, and bathroom of course. My downside to the room was that it was clean enough where I would not complain, but for the price of $350 a night, it could have definitely had more "attention to detail". There was noticeable dust in lots of spots including the top of the refrigerator, unclean mirrors and sliding doors, outdated patio furniture, and my mother kept stating that the room smelt like a fart smell. Again, I took action amongst myself and sprayed and touched up myself. The pool area was okay, and the bar was good for what the property is. They provide complimentary cabanas, beach towels. At night they have live music, and fire-it's to enjoy, included in your resort fee. No complimentary coffee is included downstairs, just the coffee machine in your room. (bring your own creamer or milk) The restaurant RumFish Grill was closed during my stay (Wednesday) which was disappointing because I really looked forward to it, and seeing the big fish tank while dining, however we opted to go to 1200 Steakhouse, five minutes down the road ,and the steak house was honestly one of the best I have been to. ($$$ Beer and Wine only) Overall again my rating is 4/5 for the price of the hotel with a lack of attention to detail, and touch ups on the property, but I would recommend. Read less

We had 9 in our family party stay there from 10/9-13. Overall we had a great time: Positives: Grounds were clean and well maintained. On site restaurants were very good. Nice beach! Did not have to pay for parking. Pool Bar was fun. Next door Coconut Charlie’s was very fun! Negatives: Check-in staff a bit surly On-site coffee shop completely… Read more

Daughters initial room had 4 or 5 Worms on floor at check in. They did move her to another better room. Rooms need a bit of general maintenance, floor was damp, one of stove burners not working, sliding door handles loose, etc…. (We told front desk, but they didn’t seem to care) Wish it was less expensive. We stayed in Tampa another 3 days at a VRBO. We would have liked to continue our stay here, it was certainly not full, but still too expensive for the full week. Read less

Ron in security went above and beyond for me. I needed to grab some shirts from the shop that was closed and he opened it for me to grab and walked me back to the front to check out. He didn’t have to do that but he did. I appreciate him and all those that helped that day.
