This was our 3rd time visiting Sunset Vistas from the U.K. Once again we had a fantastic relaxing time. As ever all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. All the suites are spacious and comfortable and those on the North side of the building have sun in the afternoon and a gorgeous sunset view looking out over to the sea. The location is great with the centre of Treasure Island and also the Boardwalk at John’s pass within easy walking distance with many more attractions a short car ride away. The wildlife in the sea and lagoons either side of the islands is amazing, we spent hours watching the sea birds fishing and the dolphins. My only reason for not giving the suites an excellent rating this time is because the suite we were in is in need of a renovation. Some of the white goods and appliances in our kitchen looked old, tired and in need of replacement. Equally some of the living room furniture could do with a refresh. Also there was only 2 chairs on a balcony for a room designed to house 4 people. However those minor points aside we still love this place and will be back again in the future. Read less

Wonderful location on Treasure Island beach. All rooms have angled balconies that face the water. Very pleasant and helpful staff. One assigned parking spot per condo so if you have a second car parking can be challenging. My only negative with our unit was the second bedroom. It is very small and thus, only can accommodate a queen size bed. When used to sleeping in a king, this makes for a rather uncomfortable night's sleep. The Master BR is larger with a nice size bathroom. The kitchen is large with all the appliances you will need. Nicely decorated throughout the condo. There is a ground floor bar at the end of the complex facing the beach. There is also a restaurant on site but I did not try it. The swimming pools are nicely maintained with lots of seating. there is a hot tub also. All in all a very nice complex. Close to many bars, restaurants, and shops. If having a queen bed is not a concern, then this is an excellent choice. Read less

Our first visit to Treasure Island and Sunset Vistas was perfect location. Beach was right outside the resort. Though seating/umbrellas on beach were rental only, there are previously purchased beach chairs in a bin on the resort walkway (previous guests) which can be grabbed early in day for use. Beach is wide and beautiful. Convenient each room has a designated parking spot, so no worry about driving around for spot. Resort pool is not too terribly big and chairs may not be "reserved". Most chairs were full by mid morning. There is a kiddie pool opposite of adult pool. Both pools have hot tubs. There is a bar open daily with a small crowd always enjoying. By 10pm pool and bar were closed and there was little noise to disturb sleep. Room (212N) was clean but a bit tired. Bed was very comfortable. Nice each room had a small balcony with 2 chairs and table. Plenty of towels, with optional change every other day. Soap/shampoo/condition were all supplied. Check in/front desk help were great and very cordial. Very attentive to any request. We stopped into the Grill and were greeted by one of the friendly employees and told about offerings. With so many great restaurants, we unfortunately did not end up ordering from the Grill. With a rental car, St. Petersburg is only 20 min drive. Recommend visiting Cory Street Market and St. Pete Saturday am market. Great food offerings! Oyster Bar on Central Ave is fun with good drinks and oysters. Urban Brew and BBQ was delic, both drinks and food. Also stop at Mazzaro Italian Market. Great fresh pasta, sauces, prepared food, wine, desserts and stop next door to their merchandise store. On St. Pete's Beach recommend Sea Hag and Shimpy's Bistro, both wonderful service/food/drink. On the down side would not recommend Sea Dog! Terrible service, served wrong orders (multiple times!) and grouper was dried and hard. On Madeira Beach stop at Walt'z fish shack. It was delic, intimate and service was great, located at the end of John's Pass, which is also a fun area to visit for shops. If you have the time would also recommend taking a drive north to Honeymoon Park, Dunedin Beach. Stop at Olde Bay Restaurant for lunch. In the opposite direction, head south to Fort Desoto Park. At the south end of island we caught a beautiful display of para wind surfing. A great week all around. Left as a group of fun-loving "spring breakers" arrived with lots of energy and wild times to share :-) Read less

This hotel was perfect! Clean, well kept, friendly staff, and the pool and hot tub were great! It was so nice to be right on the ocean and be able to walk back and forth from our room to the beach (which was also great)! The location was a plus close to many restaurants and a grocery store.

We enjoyed take out or deli food in our fully equipped kitchen. This beach is beautiful and a must visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unit is only cleaned every second day and this was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Weather was cool the last week of February however the friendly warm people of treasure island made up for it. See ya all next year Read less
