The hotel

The stomping ground of celebrities past and present (think F Scott Fitzgerald in earlier years and Justin Timberlake more recently), The Don CeSar Hotel is regarded as Florida’s legendary Pink Palace. Registered with the Historic Hotels of America, it effortlessly blends the Great Gatsby era of pampering with modern European grandeur. Picture-perfect in every way, the beach is a wonderful place to relax or indulge in a variety of exciting water sports – kite surfing anyone? There are also 2 beautifully furnished beachfront swimming pools to take advantage of, so grab a good book and some sun cream and enjoy! Whilst you’re busy, chilling out or enjoying a pampering session at the spa perhaps, the kids will be having at ball at Camp Cesar. Enjoy the family-friendly touches – there are kid’s menus and even a cupboard full of toys to play with! Even a dedicated retail shop carrying all the essentials to keep kids and teens happy and active. At Camp Cesar, however, they’ll have the time of their lives, participating in beach crafts, seashell hunting, castle contests and pool games. Dine around The Don at one of our many restaurants or lounges. Enjoy dining al fresco for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner at Sea Porch, experience an exquisite evening at Maritana Grille, or take in the stunning sunset views with coastal cuisine and cool cocktails at Rowe Bar.

Hotel has great amenities and the beach and pools are great and really made the trip! Best part for me and my workcation is the wi-fi connection here is AMAZING! You can work from the beach and still have 5 bars of wi-fi! Great place to work and play. Drinks and food are overpriced so go elsewhere to eat and grab liquor from the store. If you’re going to st Pete’s beach, you MUST stay here! Read less

Located on the shores of the Gulf, this is the prettiest hotel within view. Check in was easy, the room was spacious. It is NOT a mega hotel complex, but rather an almost 100 year old hotel with all of the charm and beauty that comes with its history. Take the time to stroll through the hotel and read the history. There are nice shops on the lower floor with enough to satisfy and temp and shipping need. The 2 on site restaurants offer a choice and the coffee shop has some quick serve breakfast options. I returned to my room tonight on the hotel's second floor. There's a corporate party on the first floor with music blaring at a level you can clearly hear every word throughout the hotel room. When I spoke to the front desk, there was nothing that they would do. This is going to last for a few hours. It's 10:10 PM. These are expensive hotel… Read more

When I spoke to the front desk, there was nothing that they would do. This is going to last for a few hours. It's 10:10 PM. These are expensive hotel rooms, and I'm sorry but apparently the guest experience doesn't matter here. On top of this, I was informed that this is a "dog friendly" hotel. I complained that the dog in the next room was barking nonstop (probably triggered by the incessant music blaring through the floor.) Seriously? This isn't a Motel Six. At over $400 per night, I expect better. I'm not coming back. Read less

Like most hotels on St Pete Beach, the Don is a bit pricey, particularly when you don't spend much time in your room. The amenities are nice, with multiple pools and the beach literally at your toes. Prices for food and drinks are commensurate with type of property, so plan to spend some money during your stay. Otherwise, the Don is a nice place to get away and relax. It is a bit of a drive from certain attractions around the greater Tampa area, so be aware of that. Read less
