The Don Cesar

St Pete Beach, Clearwater and St Pete

The hotel

The stomping ground of celebrities past and present (think F Scott Fitzgerald in earlier years and Justin Timberlake more recently), The Don CeSar Hotel is regarded as Florida’s legendary Pink Palace. Registered with the Historic Hotels of America, it effortlessly blends the Great Gatsby era of pampering with modern European grandeur. Picture-perfect in every way, the beach is a wonderful place to relax or indulge in a variety of exciting water sports – kite surfing anyone? There are also 2 beautifully furnished beachfront swimming pools to take advantage of, so grab a good book and some sun cream and enjoy! Whilst you’re busy, chilling out or enjoying a pampering session at the spa perhaps, the kids will be having at ball at Camp Cesar. Enjoy the family-friendly touches – there are kid’s menus and even a cupboard full of toys to play with! Even a dedicated retail shop carrying all the essentials to keep kids and teens happy and active. At Camp Cesar, however, they’ll have the time of their lives, participating in beach crafts, seashell hunting, castle contests and pool games. Dine around The Don at one of our many restaurants or lounges. Enjoy dining al fresco for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner at Sea Porch, experience an exquisite evening at Maritana Grille, or take in the stunning sunset views with coastal cuisine and cool cocktails at Rowe Bar.

The renovations are mediocre, they slapped new paint and carpet. Poor service, poor food, the beach is great though. If you are going for the beach go but it’s a three star hotel at best now. I would recommend elsewhere

The beach is absolutely lovely. The property needs staff to clean and tidy throughout the day to feel more upscale. All staff working hard but clearly understaffed. Carpet in room did not meet cleanliness standards. Overall would go back for a second chance because of the location but not exactly what we expected from previous experience at… Read more

No availability at the spa, no room service or cleaning service due to Covid, and an ocean view that included a roof and Hvac unit... the prices were twice what the experience was worth. The room was a bit of a disappointment as well. The grand king with ocean view wasn’t much to write home about. Read less
