From managing our Indian Jain as well as Gluten-free Meal requests to allowing us to stay with you a little longer, all of our requirements. Something only a family can do for you. All of the staff at the beautiful hotel from the top F&B management Mr. Anurag to Mr. Waseem, Mr Anit Bansal (The amazing manager at Sontaya Restaurant) to Linen & Antony everyone deserves a round of applause for their warm hospitality throughout our 3 night stay at the Hotel. The beauty of the hotel starts from its entrance which faces the magnificent Arabian ocean. The rooms were exellent and the room service always made sure everything was on point througout our stay. The recreation center at the hotel is worth a mention as it has one of the biggest and the most equipped gymnasiams Read less

Stayed for 5 days and had a stay that had some fantastic highlights but sadly the overall experience was pretty negative due to management's careless disregard for guests. On the failure side we were informed at checkin by the front desk agent that Sontaya and some other restaurant were closed for "maintenance". (No notice was given for this prior of course.) Only Olea and Budda-Bar where open. We were also told very explicitly that all menus from all closed restaurants could be ordered in Olea. This was a blatant lie. When we went to Olea for dinner the first night the Olea staff said only their only menu items were available. They had no idea what we were talking about. For our 5 day stay we had 2 restaurants to choose from. Not what I would call selection for a 5-star hotel. Yes, it's covid but hotels like W The Palm and Al Qasar Jumeriah seem to manage with full services just fine. Over the next few days I found out unofficially from a few staff that Sontoya and other restuarants where closed due to low occupancy. I spoke with the front desk duty manager about this and was given the party line that the closures where for "maintenance". It was obviously BS. I repeated my frustration about the closure and worse, the outright lies told by the front desk stop at checkin about ordering from any menu in Olea. The manager just repeated the "maintenance" message. He couldn't explain why we had been told about ordering from Sontoya and other menus in Olea. I think he said the word "sorry" one time during our 10 minute conversation. I never heard from him or any other front desk manager for the remainder of our 5 days. I would expect perhaps an apology letter or some act to indicate there were problems and they took responsibility for them. Never heard anything. The Adult Pool was awesome and clearly the best place to hang out, but it was closed 3 of the 5 days we were there. The only pool open on these days is the main pool with the usual crowd of crazy kids. We were told the Adult Pool by choose was only open 2 days a week. WTF??? Now on the positive side... We had an amazing experience at Budda-Bar. Hillary and his team really delivered an outstanding experience for our special occasion. Eliza (butler) was fantastic through-out our stay. The staff in Olea for breakfast was awesome. When we compared the breakfast at this hotel with what we had at W The Palm, I can say the St Regis has some real room for improvement in terms of selection and quality. Again the staff was super regardless. One side note: The mattresses are "super plush top". Way too soft. My back is pretty sore. :( In summary if the hotel had simply delivered what they advertise on their website in terms of pools, restaurants, etc I would be singing their praise and planning a return trip. We had an amazing stay at St. Regis Saadiyat island. It is without a doubt one of the best hotels in Abu Dhabi, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. On arrival we were greeted with a smooth check in and an upgrade to a Seaview room (580). A wonderful lady called, Aigerim looked after us throughout our stay – she helped ensure we had a great time. The children loved the pool area and there were some kid’s activities available (although the kids club is closed). Every 2-4 hours they serve complimentary beverages and fruits around the pool area. The food was amazing, and we highly recommend the Seafood night (Friday and Saturday). The service was amazing throughout the hotel, but we would like to give a special mention to a lovely lady called Naw who looked after us during breakfast and the lifeguards around the pool. We are looking forward to our next stay! Read less
