This is an excellent hotel with first class services with a modern, young vibe. Paying that bit extra for a track view is highly recommended for any racing or F1 fans. You’ll also get stunning views from The Garage restaurant at breakfast.

It is our first time visiting this hotel after the hotel has changed to W hotel. As a Marriott platinum member, I visit a lot of Marriott hotels, and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed at this place. The staffs are very helpful and kind. I would like to especially thank the housekeeping staff who came to do the turndown service last night. I do not recall his name but he told me that he came from India, and it is second year working at this place. Everything was perfect except the check-out part. When my girlfriend and I went to the lobby to check out, one of the receptionist greeted us in Chinese, assuming that we are from China based on our race. This is utterly disrespectful and very unprofessional as a hotelier. I told the receptionist that we are not from China, but no apology was given to us. Judging person’s nationality based on their skin color is a kind of behavior that should not happen anywhere and especially from a global corporation like Marriott. Beside that we are looking forward to another great stay at W and thank you for a wonderful night. Read less

My wife and I booked this hotel at the beginning of the year when it was the Viceroy, as you know it has now been taken over by the Marriott group and upgraded to a W hotel. Having seen this hotel in the past whilst watching the F1 GP I kinda always wanted to stay here as it looked fabulous and I wasn’t wrong! We flew into Dubai so this meant we had a drive of about 1h 20 to the hotel, we arrived at roughly 3.20am and the first thing we noticed was the smiles on the staff’s faces, even at this hour everyone we met was happy to see us, we where greeted by Anup Rai the assistant manager ( he never seemed to get any time off, as he was always around!) who immediately gave us a better room (2325) so that it wouldn’t be so noisy in the evening. There was a bit of work going on as they where still preparing to switch but this wasn’t an issue as it was mostly done in the evening. The hotel has several restaurants available however there was only two open at the time we stayed Angar the Indian and the Italian restaurant Amici, along with the pool bar, I would highly recommend the Indian the food is to die for and the service was great, the Italians however!! Yeah the food was lovely but the service we found terrible, sorry!!. On the roof there are two pools, building 2 has the largest so there is plenty of space to relax and take in the sun, the other is more of a party place with a small pool, a vast bar area, live DJ. Our room was huge, the views a little obscured by the outer surface of the hotel, but what you could see is fantastic. Massive bed, separate bath/shower/toilet, tv, mini bar (very expensive) and tea/coffee making The surrounding area is basically the F1 track, I would definitely suggest that you pay it a visit in the evening where you can cycle, jog or just stroll around the circuit we did and it was one of the highlights of our stay. The beach....... STAY AWAY FROM THE BEACH! It is awful you will get a free pass to go on to it and a free bus service will get you there but it is the worst ive ever been to. Everything is pretty much not in walking distance so there is a shuttle to take you wherever you need to go to, its free and usually on time. Places to visit I would definitely go to the Grand Mosque its beautiful, Ferrari world has great roller coasters so yup do that, the mall is like any other but if you want to shop go for it!! Would we stay again? If we won the lottery yes we would, it would be a nice stop over if you where flying elsewhere, all in all its a great hotel we loved the experience, great staff, great food, great location, downsides Amici, the prices, and the fact that there is nothing close to the hotel for a walk out. Expensive food in the room a negative but we had already bought snacks for the room on the way out to no real issue for us. Two twins bed were a good size and a sofa in the sitting area. Lovely balcony with 2 chairs for relaxing. Pool on the roof was excellent (not the two tiered one but the other) we visited a couple of times but later in the day, absolutely empty, not sure if this has anything to do with the time of year since it was only around 20 degrees. If you're looking to relax though the cars do make a crazy noise which seems amplified up here so would recommend taking your head phones. Also worth baring in mind that some nights in the week the race pretty late into the night. Food in the restaurants on sight were excellent, pizza a little small but healthy amount of toppings! Beautiful building and lobby, very much enjoyed the roof top bar, great atmosphere and they showed the premier league football. Definitely worth staying here for a few days, lots to do in the surrounding area, mall (cheesecake factory is a must), Ferrari world was good for a few hours. Read less
