All Inclusive option: includes breakfast in Horizon, lunch in Horizon or Sundeck pool bar and dinner in Horizon or Rosso. Selection of soft drinks, house pour wines, spirits, beer and still water to be consumed in the restaurants stated.

We originally booked a weekend away in Ajman in a 5-star and unfortunately, we were let down incredibly by the hygiene standards (filthy floors and layers of dust in the room) and service (wrong rooms booked and they did not handle it well at all). We decided not to stay at this particular “resort” and rang Amwaj last minute to see if they could cater for us for the weekend. The great weekend at Amwaj started from us booking the room over the phone as they tried their best to give us a last-minute deal. We were greeted in reception by wonderful, friendly staff and this level of service was seen throughout the entire staycation. We had a lovely room with a wonderful view, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable especially during the uncertain Covid times. The staff were constantly keeping communal areas clean including the pool and the lifts. The restaurant staff were incredibly helpful and accommodated to our dietary needs with the chef personally speaking with us to see what he could make that we liked. The TV in our room was not working and they really tried their best to eventually fix this and they really went above and beyond to apologise and ensure we had a relaxing break by extending our checkout further due to the inconvenience. I must say, we have stayed in many 5-star places in the emirates and especially in Dubai but we really would come back again purely due to the staff who worked tirelessly but effortlessly (including but not limited to Mariette at reception, Rebecca in reservations and Lakmal), the facilities and the customized experience they tried to create. They can work on the breakfast, perhaps fresh juice would be much better, the walk to the beach can be cumbersome to families, especially that the elevator was not working so we couldn't use the staircase with strollers and no AC. I know it's a pandemic. I know that customer service is currently struggling, and that patience is requested. However, it takes a small thing to prevent customer frustration and dissatisfaction. It was our first time at Amwaj Rotana and we heard that it's the best Rotana Hotel in Dubai. I heard that negative feedback rarely leads to improvement but still I would like high light a few points: -Due to COVID 19 we were offered in room breakfast which was totally fine for us. However, it was the worst breakfast ever. Pastry not fresh, ALWAYS watery eggs despite numerous requests for eggs to be well done, mixing up orders, ignoring cooking instructions. I would say overall food quality was really bad for a 5* hotel. -There was only 1 receptionist on duty, which made the process of reaching customer service almost impossible. -we have requested a baby chair for our 9 month old to the room. The answer was "it's not available". Later in the day we saw at least 3 baby high chair at the restaurant which was empty. I understand that it could be a policy. But it takes only few steps to make your guest feel comfortable. As individuals, as families, we have had to adapt at almost every level. Same should apply to businesses ! On the positive note, it's a very strategic location - just in the middle of JBR with a fantastic view of Bluwater Island and the Dubai Eye! Read less
