The hotel

One of Dubai's most stunning buildings (which is saying something as this city has so many stunning buildings!), the Jumeirah Emirates Towers is a great value hotel that redefines luxury. The hotel has its own restaurants too: Alta Badia, serving Northern Italian cuisine that is second to none. For something a little more laid back, The Noodle House is ideal for catching up with family and friends over favourite noodle dishes. Aside from eats and drinks (cocktails on the 51st floor are a must for more gorgeous views), the hotel also offers a world-class spa, fitness centre and gorgeous swimming pool to laze by. The service at this hotel was way above anything that I have encountered before. it was my daughters birthday and not only did they send a surprise birthday cake, they also placed an amazing banner on the window of the hotel saying happy birthday with her name and age. it was an incredible surprise for her and all of us. Very impressive service.

Stayed for 6 nights in June as part of a 3 hotel holiday in Dubai. 3 nights were bed and breakfast and 3 club/half board. Allocated a premier deluxe room on arrival to save us moving half way through our stay. Overall this was the best hotel we stayed at during our holiday because of access to the beach at the Mina Salam hotel. Have stayed at the Madinat several times but prices are getting a bit silly now. Emirates Towers hotel provided a very good compromise of having a great hotel near the Dubai Mall and with free shuttle services to the beach and wild wadi water park which roughly takes half an hour each way depending on traffic. The hotel has a nice buzzy feel to it with plenty of staff to help on arrival etc. Breakfast was fine. Lovely staff served me hot chocolate each day without having to ask. Pool area is fine.Water nice and cold when you need it. As the weather was so hot the thing that made it for me was the fact that cool bags with ice and bottled water are given out at both the pool and at the beach which is a first for me ( usually one small bottle each if your lucky) you really do need this to survive otherwise your hotel water bill would cost a fortune. The good thing about being able to access the beaches at the Madinat or Jumeirah Beach Hotel is the fact that it's the only space we had during our 15 days in Dubai that you are not constantly subjected to music which is great. Our bedroom was good and had a view in the opposite direction to that we had last time we stayed here. Has everything you need and is very comfortable. Did not really explore the area as too hot but the hotel do provide a few shuttles to the Dubai Mall which is very handy nearby. Make sure you get a taxi back near the Waitrose end of the mall. We made a mistake one day of getting a taxi from the fountain end and had to have a detour round Dubai to get back to the hotel. There are a few shops in the small shopping area between towers so you can access a pharmacy, small convenience store and a Starbucks without going outside. The only thing I was uncomfortable with was the half board deal we had. We have never booked direct with Jumeirah for summer flavours but have always had a good choice of restaurants in all the Jumeirah hotels we had stayed at when we got there apart from Jumeirah Creekside. (Summer flavour given ).So when we booked for half board we expected to have at least the same choice within the Emirates Towers as is normally offered but thought that there is always the buffet for dinner. A couple of days before we came we noticed on the website that the hotel were closing the buffet till September for dinner so when we arrived we were told we could only eat at the Alta Badia restaurant at the hotel which is an Italian one and would not have been my choice of food. We were then told we could eat in the Rib Room (don't eat steak). Then just generally lack of consistent information as to what we could eat without having to pay supplements for. In the end did eat in the Italian twice, staff very nice and food fine with enough of a choice. There was a very limited menu in the Rib Room with 3 starters (none of which I would have eaten), a salmon, risotto and steak dish and ice cream. Felt where was definately more attention paid to the paying diners. Overall disappointing experience even though our main dishes were very nice. When we came to pay the bill on leaving the hotel extra had been added for two nights dinners which was taken off. Felt staff generally a bit airy fairy about how to deal with this. Did not feel we needed to sign paperwork for staff to be able to sort out a problem which we are been told 3 times nothing extra would be charged. The club lounge was nice. Very nice afternoon tea and snacks and drinks in the evening. Felt on both occasions we have stayed staff did not really communicate anything to us as to how the lounge operates or generally even try to make conversation. Apart from feeling ashamed about the amount of single use plastic consumed during our holiday we would happily return to this hotel! Read less

We have just returned from a glorious 11 night stay in this wonderful hotel One of the things that makes this hotel stand out are it’s wonderful staff This includes all of their team from the gentleman that greet you at the door the concierge team the reception team the security at the lifts the staff in the restaurants and the amazing staff in the club lounge We stayed on the 36th floor with a wonderful view of the city. We had a clubroom on the Jumeirah flavours package The room was serviced several times a day and was kept meticulously clean. Coffee and fruit were both replenished when required The room was always prepared for the evening with a turndown service On our anniversary they decorated the room with balloons pictures and banners to celebrate. They also provided chocolate dipped strawberries together with a delicious cake. We ate breakfast each day in the club lounge and we ate in both Alta Badia and The Rib Room while we stayed there. Alta Badia was particularly excellent and I have reviewed this separately. A special mention to Stefano Cazarro the Restaurant manager who took such good care of us. It is difficult to mention all of the names of all the wonderful staff that made us stay so very enjoyable however there are a few that we would personally like to thank Nellah who took care of us nearly every evening in the club lounge. A wonderful caring lady who took time to help us on several occasions. She remembered what drinks we liked and also where we had planned to visit and asked us every day if we had enjoyed ourselves. She also organised the anniversary decorations and a breakfast box for us to take to the airport on our final day. Also Mitzi and Khaja Who also took care of us during breakfast each day in the club lounge In addition ,Jenny and Teddy in the evening in the club lounge The club lounge is situated on the 42nd floor and accessible via a different lift. There is a good selection of breakfast items available between 7 am and 11 am every day. This includes continental and cooked items and also eggs made to order. In the evening between 6 pm and 8 pm there are a selection of canapés and also drinks including alcoholic drinks available which are complimentary. The club lounge staff are attentive and ensure you are notified when the canapés and alcoholic drinks are about to finish. All of the staff in this area assisted us with restaurant reservations and also suggestions of things to do. One suggestion I would make is that they need to have better heaters for the cooked food in the club lounge as at times it was warm rather than hot. We took advantage of the beach complimentary passes available. These are obtained daily from the concierge desk and then there is a complimentary shuttle that runs from the hotel to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Wild Wadi waterpark and also the Mina Al Salam. The shuttle run on time every day and was very easy to use Whilst I appreciate this hotel is more city-based I would encourage people to consider it for a holiday destination. The service is 2nd to none and we would not hesitate in recommending it. The staff at this hotel really are a credit to the company and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay Read less
