Beverly Hills Marriott

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

One of Beverly Hills newest hotels, you’ll certainly feel quite the celebrity whilst staying here. As well as impeccable service, accommodation is suitably stylish with plush décor and thoughtful touches. Although there’s great shopping nearby, grab an hour or two to relax by the poolside, soaking up the sun and making good use of the whirlpool. There’s also a fitness centre but we think star spotting might be exercise enough for most! For the business traveller there’s complimentary WiFi and electrical sockets are dotted around the building, even by the bar, so no need to stay in your room. Beverly Hills is home to some of the world’s best restaurants but for great American cuisine check out the hotel’s very own chic eatery, especially at breakfast time. They’ve got buffet, Continental, American, and Grab-n-Go on offer.

Had anticipated a bit more upscale given the Beverly Hills location, this hotel sits about 1 mile down street from the restaurant/retail district. Nothing fancy - be aware, parking is $46 a day, Stella beers in lounge are $12 - which is what the Plaza and Ritz in NYC charge. Its quiet enough, I didnt go to the Residence Inn across the street (also… Read more

Its quiet enough, I didnt go to the Residence Inn across the street (also Marriott brand) that hotel appears to be rather new and I would stay there next trip to this area. Cleaner/nicer an assuredly less expensive. Read less

Mixed experience at this hotel. Pros: - Location is pretty central. If you don't have a car, you can walk about three blocks south to some restaurants on Beverly, and about five more blocks to Rodeo Drive and the central part of Beverly Hills. The blocks immediately around the hotel don't have too much. A few restaurants around the corner on Pico. This is a heavily Orthodox Jewish area so there is a popular Kosher deli (Factors (would not recommend- average food)) - Lobby is nice - Starbucks served in lobby and they did a good job - For Bon Voy members (perhaps at a certain status/level) there is a lounge which is cardkey activated and has all the water bottles, soda and small snacks you could want, 24/7. This was really one of the huge highlights. - Also a pantry store that was by far the biggest I had ever seen at a Marriott. Lots of food and drink- including beer and wine- selection - Design of room was nice. Seemed recently updated. Great bathroom design. - Great front desk service overall. I forgot a toothbrush. The guy didn't find one in their inventory to give out so he went to their little store and gave me one from the for-sale rack. no questions. Cons: - Major con: no desk with chair at all. I have rarely seen this in a hotel like this. There was a couch/window seat and a small table. Was super uncomfortable to work at, which I had to do all day. Not having a desk is a major con for a hotel that attracts business travelers. - Room service menu is super super limited - Pool and hottub are right on the street. Obscured by fencing and greenery, but is right out front on Beverly. - Windows in the room quite dirty- really obstructed the view - Pillows way way way too soft. Got a poor night's sleep every night here. Read less

This is an OK hotel. The lobby presents decently although doesn’t give you a warm vibe. The price/value relationship is off. The overnight parking fee of $51 for valet parking (no self parking option) is distasteful. The room is comfortable, the bed very nice and the bathroom was decently appointed. The shower door on a roller is a good… Read more

The shower door on a roller is a good idea, but wouldn’t stay shut in my room (820). Nice view of downtown LA (to the east). Read less

As a platinum member I struggle with this hotel’s rate of $400+ / night. Location is decent, but I just don't see the value of staying here.. With 1000+ Marriot nights in 10 years I feel that I have a valid point. If you have a corporate account or you are equipped with a billionaire budget why not stay here.. Your call

Reservation was made and when we phoned Saturday morning 4/20, to request information, spoke with front desk lady who couldn’t care less about or phone call. I think we were bothering her? Bad attitude- where is good customer service? Cancelled reservation and got way better hotel anyway!
