Cape Cod, New England

The hotel

If you're looking for an authentic Cape Cod experience, then Shoreway Acres Inn is the place to be. This friendly, third-generation, family-run resort is set in acres of lawns interspersed with elm trees in the heart of historic Falmouth Village. This secluded location offers respite from the everyday bustle yet is just a short walk from Main Street and the beach with pretty views of Martha's Vineyard and Nobska Lighthouse. The Inn began as the nine-room Worthington House, a sea captain's home dating back to 1806. Spent 4 nights here and this is a great place to stay. We were with a group and they could not do enough for you. We were welcomed by the owner before we got off our coach, had a welcome drink with cheese and biscuits. Rooms are large, beds are VERY comfortable. The owner also bought us some cookies for our journey to the airport on the day we left................I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Read less

Shoreway Acres is a cluster of charming buildings set around a wide expanse of lawn and trees. It's a peaceful oasis just minutes walk from Main Street. We stayed in the pool building which seemed to be the main centre. Our room was huge with a 3 seater sofa beyond the bed and a table and chairs. We had everything we needed and it was all spotless. The bed was comfy and it was lovely to wake up to birdsong. The beautiful pool was in the atrium attached to the main building, which we made use of. Breakfast is taken in the basement, which was not dingy as I expected, but lit with tasteful lighting, faux windows and pretty decoration. A stylish place to start the day with excellent food. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the peace. Read less

I am in town about once a year...for a couple days. No reason to look elsewhere...this hotel is great. Very old-school New England summer hotel. Great breakfast, staff, location, bed, TV, Wifi. One block from downtown.

This is my third Winter stay at ShoreWay Acres Inn when the ferries to Martha's Vineyard have been cancelled. Arriving in driving snow about 9PM, or in severe winds, I found a warm welcome, an absolutely immaculate room, at a reasonable price. I cannot praise it enough. Mark Wright
