Keep in mind that this is NYC, so everything is more expensive. This was an incredibly inexpensive hotel, but clean, big enough (for NY), and had a decent buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs & sausage that saves you $15-30 in NY. Parking is about 2 blocks away for $30 at a place that normally charges $50-60.

Great little hotel within walking distance of top attractions, but a short walk away from the noise of the city. I came with a friend and my daughters to celebrate my birthday and we all had an amazing time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit small but very clean and comfortable, not at all cramped and have everything you need - iron, hairdryer, coffee machine, tv etc. The buffet breakfast was a real bonus too and saved us time and money. Hot & cold breakfast selection, lots of choice and a great waffle maker too. Hot drinks available 24h at reception, just help yourself. We were even offered hot cider and cookies when we returned early one evening to get ready for a Theater night out. And the Ambassador Theater was only 5/10 min walk from the hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in NY and all agreed the Comfort Inn was a great place to stay. Can't wait to come back. Read less

The location is fairly close to Broadway shows. This area of Hell's Kitchen is quickly gentrifying...there is construction everywhere, especially close to this hotel. Nearby place to eat: Landmark Tavern for dinner; Sullivan Street Bakery for a pastry and expresso breakfast. Hotel breakfast is included, but very standard, and coffee was not good.… Read more

Nearby place to eat: Landmark Tavern for dinner; Sullivan Street Bakery for a pastry and expresso breakfast. Hotel breakfast is included, but very standard, and coffee was not good. Staff was not trained well to handle the two a.m. fire alarms. (There was no actual fire, thank goodness.) Room layout was fine. Though extremely small, we had everything we needed. Read less

C level (basically the basement of the hotel) has only 2 guest rooms and the staff kitchen/ work area where staff congregate to socialize. From 7:30am onwards staff have been talking loudly and working (getting ice, etc.) constantly and literally right out side of my door - 101C. Do not accept a reservation on the c level as staff do not respect guest’s right to quiet. They tried to squeeze in an extra couple of rooms directly beside the hotel kitchen/ work corridors and it makes for a horrible guest experience. Read less

The hotel is a great budget-friendly hotel with a great location in Hells Kitchen close to many bars and restaurants and walking distance to the Subway. Rooms were a very tight squeeze for a room meant for 4 guests. Free continental breakfast and beverages every morning is a nice treat. We did unfortunately get stuck in a first level room, just steps away from the front desk and lobby in front of the elevator. So there was lots of constant noise of people coming and going, and very loud during free breakfast time in the lobby. I'm sure rooms above the first floor can avoid this problem, but we had a hard time getting any sleep past 7am after being out until 4am the previous night. Read less
