Great location. The hotel is in a great, walkable area and we have felt very safe here. The service is great as well, and the lobby and room are beautiful. Some cons to be aware of, the water pressure in our shower is terrible. It could be due to the old nature of the hotel but it is not great. Secondly the drapes have an add thing where they’re stapled to the wall and you can’t draw them. We have wanted to do a midday rest and the sun has been brightly in our eyes and we have been unable to rest because we’re not permitted to draw the curtains. Prices here are pretty wild. We paid $110 for room service which was just a salad and half a roasted chicken. Cocktails in the bar are around $25 each. Keep in mind we have been to other places in the city and see that prices are not like this elsewhere. Read less

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont hotel for my wife's birthday but experienced glitches at every point. Service was professional and kind with cake and snacks for her birthday but the front desk forgot to put our 4 pm check out time on the reservation so we got 2 door knocks and a phone call (at 12 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.) asking us to… Read more
We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont hotel for my wife's birthday but experienced glitches at every point. Service was professional and kind with cake and snacks for her birthday but the front desk forgot to put our 4 pm check out time on the reservation so we got 2 door knocks and a phone call (at 12 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.) asking us to leave. The front desk was very apologetic at check out, owned up to their mistake, and said they would make it up to us but we have not heard back (>1 week). Tonga room was an excellent experience for the food, music, and vibes even though the food was mediocre and overpriced. Breakfast at Laurel Court was delicious but they forgot our juice order and we had to get it at the end in paper cups. The concierge hyped up the gym but forgot to tell us that there was a fee for hotel guests to use it. Still, a good experience but with a lot of hiccups. Read less

Good location . Very good size room . But dated We didn’t like the carpet , very old and could do with cleaning. The check in and check out was very quick and efficient. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We generally enjoyed our stay specially because the room size was perfect for 3 of us .

Room was not up to par as one of AX's premier properties. Front desk was awesome. Breakfast was a nightmare. One of the managers was great. A snowball of small to medium glitches turned into an avalanche. Was there five days and four nights. It was sad as I needed the respite and the rest but got neither.

Really friendly service, was booked through the American Express app and was really delighted upon check in with how helpful the staff were. The hallway to the rooms were under construction so it wasn’t 100% but the hotel itself was really clean and all staff were really friendly if anything was ever needed. Will definitely be back again!
