Hotel Zephyr

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

Hotel Zephyr offers 355 guests rooms in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf and this supremely comfortable hotel is within walking distance of many San Francisco attractions, including Chinatown, PIER 39, Cable Cars and Ghirardelli Square. There's also a fitness centre to keep the body beautiful, open 24-hours so there's no excuse not to at least check out the facility. There is no restaurant on-site, but worry not, there are plenty in the immediate vicinity. Stroll along the wharf, sipping clam chowder from a bread bowl or perhaps head to Chinatown for some delicious Dim Sum. Like the dining options, the shopping opportunities are endless with something for everyone of every age. Infamous Alcatraz Island is well-worth a visit as is Ghirardelli Square with its famous chocolate factory. When you're done sightseeing for the day, your hotel room offers a welcome oasis from a city that seemingly never sleeps!

I love boutique and interesting hotels and Zephyr, though a quite large hotel, has a really personal feel. The courtyard area is brilliant in winter with cosy fires to enjoy with a hot chocolate. The breakfst van in the courtyard was a fun alternative and tasty food. Easy to run down for a latte and then back to bed. Super comfy rooms, though… Read more

The cleaning and service crew on the 4th floor were really helpful, fast and friendly. Great location for a bit of sightseeing between business. Read less

We requested a bay view room and they followed thru. Our view was amazing. Zephyr is in walking distance to all of Pier 39, Cable cars, many restaurants, Starbucks etc. We rented a car and the parking was very convenient. We would surely star here again.

Stayed for business- choosing Fisherman's Wharf over downtown because it was a bit less pricey. Glad we did. Our room had an ocean view, the nautical-themed rooms were fun, and the vibe was a lot less stuffy than legacy hotels. There's also a place to buy beer and casual bites- we had a really good salad for a very reasonable price. Staff was excellent and it was such a great place to walk - right past Fort Mason and to the Marina District and Chrissy field. Gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. I would definitely go back. Read less

This hotel is adequate. It’s much cheaper than a lot of other hotels in SF, and this is reflected in the rooms and overall quality. Pros: great location, can walk everywhere. Courtyard is very cool with fire pits, food trucks, smore happy hour, very different and I enjoyed it. Staff is friendly. Cons: rooms just ok, missing basic toiletries like… Read more

Courtyard is very cool with fire pits, food trucks, smore happy hour, very different and I enjoyed it. Staff is friendly. Cons: rooms just ok, missing basic toiletries like a bar or soap or a shower cap. No restaurant is a bummer for those who land late. Service not very accommodating for extenuating circumstances like a hydraulic failure turning an airplane around and missing check in time. Unless the city was very busy and booked up again I don’t think I’d stay here again. Read less

Hotel was family friendly, lots of games for kids and adults to enjoy. Walking distance to major sites like Pier 39 and pier 33’s Alcatraz boat departure. The double Beds are too small for two adults to sleep in one but fine for one adult or two children.
