Hotel Zetta

San Francisco, USA

The hotel

Although it’s ultra cool, the Hotel Zetta doesn’t take itself too seriously, giving it a very welcoming edge. What it does take seriously is guest’s comfort. Rooms are modern, well-equipped and oversized — just stretch out and enjoy the plush pillow top beds and the amenities at your disposal. Technology is also a priority, this is one place you’ll definitely stay connected with complimentary WiFi and a lobby featuring Macs and a game wall! Alternatively, retire to the S&R Lounge (short for ‘Salvage & Rescue’) – they serve some of the finest cocktails in the city. Decked out in the tradition of a Manhattan lobby, downstairs are dozens of tables, upstairs are sofas, TVs, video games and a red phone booth – yep, that’s correct, a red phone booth! Opt for a hand-crafted drink, accompanied by some rosemary salted popcorn and just soak up the happening vibe.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating A delightful anniversary stay with tickets at the Orpheum

We had a lovely stay for our anniversary! Some wonderful staff member hand-drew a cute "Happy Anniversary" card attached to champagne and balloons to welcome us to our room. The waitstaff at the Cavalier were able to get us through dinner without feeling too rushed in time to get to the Orpheum on time for Hamilton. The bed & bedding were awesome.… Read more

The waitstaff at the Cavalier were able to get us through dinner without feeling too rushed in time to get to the Orpheum on time for Hamilton. The bed & bedding were awesome. I even checked to see the brand of the pillows because they were *amazing*. Not a lot of options on the breakfast menu at the Cavalier, but the quality was excellent. Such a wonderful stay. Read less

Breakfast is cooked to order and is an excellent way to set the day off on the right foot. The Hotel on 5th is at the Market St end so close to the Cable Car, tram, trolley bus and local bus services all of which are easy to navigate. It is a short walk to the premium shopping district and Fisherman's Wharf, ferry terminals and China Town all all convenient. Union Square is just around the corner. Roads are steep and a cable car ride is a must as is a visit to the Cable Car Museum to see first hand how the system works, a great example of 19th Century innovative engineering. Read less

The people that I talked to at check in, the bar, the restaurant and when checking out were all very friendly. The room was made up nice and cleaned well. The floors weren't carpet which was a bit different but fine. The only issue is the smell when you enter the room was a bit weird. Could use some air fresheners. The snacks were nice to be… Read more

The floors weren't carpet which was a bit different but fine. The only issue is the smell when you enter the room was a bit weird. Could use some air fresheners. The snacks were nice to be available for late night munchies, although at $6 for a Snickers they're a bit pricey. It's a nice, short walk with no hills to the Moscone Convention Center. I'd stay here again for the shorter walk and pretty good accomodations. Read less

Chose Hotel Zetta for the location, but will return for the lullibies. I wanted to be central to everything SF had to offer and this hotel seemed to be smack in the middle of everything on my to do list. The staff was sweet, Alexa sang me to sleep every night, and the modern style of the hotel had the sexy vibe I crave. I only wish I had the… Read more

I wanted to be central to everything SF had to offer and this hotel seemed to be smack in the middle of everything on my to do list. The staff was sweet, Alexa sang me to sleep every night, and the modern style of the hotel had the sexy vibe I crave. I only wish I had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast (which looked amazing) and had asked Alexa for some poetry. Next time for sure. Oh and - in response to some of the other reviews - yes, it's pricey, but so is everything in SF so get over it and live a little. Read less
