There's a friendly boutique atmosphere at the Omni, thanks in part to its Florentine Renaissance architecture. Built as a bank in 1926, the hotel is quite grand, with Italian marble and Austrian crystal chandeliers in the lobby. A great way to get your bearings in the city is to join the free Saturday morning walking tour — find out about its history, architecture, legends and more. Fortunately, you don’t need a guide to find your way to Bob’s Steak & Chop House, which serves some of the best steaks in town. Bob’s Bar is also popular; check out the monthly cocktail special, made using local ingredients.

We were here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room is very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. The neighborhood is great right next to Chinatown and the Ferry Building. The whole staff is super helpful and nice. Definitely recommend!

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. From the minute we stepped out of our taxi, Darrell and his team were attentive and even anticipated our every need. We laughed with them, shared our experiences and photos and felt like we were leaving family when we departed. Great job to all the OMNI staff.

The omni in San Francisco does not disappoint. Terrific people and service. Big thanks to Ricci, Mustafa, and Grace for next level service!!! Even the doorman made me feel at home. And the hotel is beautiful and clean. In my opinion the Omni is the place to stay in San Francisco

I have never felt more like royalty in my life. The front desk staff was so accommodating with the biggest shoutout ever to Firaaz. He seemed to know what we needed even before we did and indulged all of our crazy asked from extra hotel robes to crazy hats and extra toothpaste and dental kits when we all realized we forgot ours at home. Later he sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne. The suite was comfortable, clean, and well equipped (we loved the robes and slippers, and needed the umbrella). Hard to beat the location if you're spending time downtown. We were able to walk to the restaurant for dinner, and then to Union Square to shop and linger. Quick Uber ride home from our nightcap spot too. This is how you win a loyal customer for life. Next time we need to stay in a hotel in SF, we'll be back. Read less
