My husband and I have been going to Scottsdale for years, and he's always wanted to stay at this hotel. We usually do a VRBO for trips of 7 days or more. We originally were only going for 5 days so we chose the hotel. Our plans changed and we added 2 days. Westjet Vacations did the addition, saying we got 2 free nights at the hotel (why we don't know). Thought, Its meant to me. Ha ha. We arrived about 9 pm, and the front desk clerk was fantastic. Very polite, cheery, and knowledgeable. Our room was on the 4th floor facing the golf course. The King bed was really comfy for 4-5 nights, after that our backs were sore each morning. The room was a nice size with a lounge seat, desk with 2 chairs and cabinet that had drawers, mini fridge and hotel quality safe. The bathroom shower (with a rainfall shower head) we found small, seemed like 3x3 maybe a tad bigger but I don't think by much. There was a full size tub as well. Everywhere we went with the exception of the Adult pool, the staff was FANTASTIC. They rock the 4 foot 10 foot rule when it comes to customers. The adult pool not so much. Was nice and quiet over there, which we loved, the staffs go to line as they would walk by (if they spoke to you at all) was "You don't want anything do you?". Considering we aren't big drinkers, it wasn't that big a deal to us, but us being in the customer service business here in Canada, we notice how staff interact with guests where ever we go. Read less

Just did a nice staycation here and we enjoyed the resort and some of its amenities. We have young children and the pool was great for them with a lazy river, slide, and main pool for all ages. There is a separate adults only pool if you want to get away from the craziness. Only thing I think the can improve is the coffee shop/cafe. It’s basically… Read more

Long lines and pre-packages breakfasts can be a turn off but the service was very nice. Read less

Beautiful hotel! The grounds and room were beautiful. Within walking distance to the Kierland Commons shopping center and restaurants. Very close to the Penske Racing Museum. We were here Mid February and it was too cool to swim, plan accordingly.

The rooms are very nicely designed and comfortable, and we always enjoy the views from the balconies on both sides of the hotel. In the evenings, the helpful staff will usually put up a dessert bar that you won't want to miss out on - lots of great treats to enjoy! Our family loves the pool area and lazy river. We also found the Westin to be a great place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful facilities and grounds. We look forward to our next visit! Read less

I travel A LOT having both Ambassador status in Marriott's Bonvoy program as well as a Lifetime Titanium Elite status. I've stayed in a lot of hotels. This one is basically "fine". And I mean that in the most benign way possible. The room was fine. The staff was generally nice. But, if you are a business traveler and are not driving a car (using Uber or arranging for a car service) just know that you can't pick up your ride in the front of the hotel at the entrance like normal hotels. You have to drag your bags, in your business clothes, around the property by the spa and wait outside in the Arizona heat like a black sheep family member that your parents are ashamed to let the neighbors see and who has overstayed their welcome. That alone will keep me from booking at this property again. Unnecessarily having to parade outside in a suit when it is in excess of 100 degrees when you could be waiting comfortably in the air conditioning is just stupid and, honestly, disrespectful to guests who use these services.
