My grandson and I recently stayed in one of the casitas here at the Westin Kierland Resort. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds pool , lazy river , and all of the children’s activities. What stands out most for me was John, in the Security Department. He went out of his way... being very courteous trying to help me locate a lost item. It is an… Read more

Great property. Unfortunately we did not have time to take advantage of all there was to offer. Pool and lazy river were nice and relaxing. Main lobby area is great - large but multiple levels create feeling of small private spaces to sit and relax, etc.

We stayed the weekend here and had the best time! Our room was very spacious. We had a room with two beds and it fit the three of us really well. There was plenty of room. We had a view of the golf course and it was really beautiful. There was a free bottle of water if you were a rewards member. This was really easy to sign up for, so just ask the front desk how to do it. We stayed all day by the pool. There was a super large group of us so we rented the paradise point peninsula. We divided the total for the area out among our families and it really was affordable. The great thing about this is that you don't have to fight anyone for a seat or place to be. Our kids really enjoyed the lazy river, pool and swim slide. In the evening we ate at the Scotch Library. We had the best nachos and wings. Honestly the best nachos. They were huge and delicious. For breakfast we ate at the Nellie Cashman Monday Cafe. They had a breakfast buffet that was delicious. It was $25 a person but completely worth every penny. There were the best lox and bagels. I could have eaten a plate of lox alone, they were that good. The only disappointment with our stay was the evening food served by the pool. They were serving some type of camp out food but it tasted and looked like MREs. It was really expensive and afterwards our kids were still hungry because they just couldn't eat the dinner. We ended up ordering them pizzas. It was a bummer. Everything else was wonderful. We had a great stay and we would definitely come back. Read less

We should definitely be using it more since it is so gorgeous, maybe for a stay-cation one year. Last week we needed some R&R so decided to have a massage, relax by the pool and have a special dinner. The grounds are massive, lush and well kept. Can't say enough about the beautiful surroundings. There are also many rooms for conferences, etc. Deseo is a wonderful upscale restaurant for special occasions. Expensive but worth it. There are also other places to eat but we've never tried them. They have bagpipes at sunset I believe every night. The spa could use better management, but we've always had great massages once things get ironed out. If you're not a local and looking for a wonderful desert vacation to escape the winter, this is the place! Read less
