We have stayed all over S. Lake Tahoe. I like to gamble so usually we stay at Harrahs or Harveys. Greg is one of the managers here and he is really helpful and knows a great deal about Tahoe (almost as much as me). Our room was excellent with a beautiful view of the lake. We bumped into the GM and he was very accommodating. We will definitely return. Read less

This was a much-needed getaway, and we did not want to go far from Los Angeles. Even if we could not drive here, an excellent place this is; we would tell anyone to fly. My fiance and I wanted to go somewhere on a lake where we could venture out and do activities besides eating and drinking, which we did! The Landing is a special place. It is in prime South Lake Tahoe, right at a beach/lakefront with access to enjoy. We decided to book a lakefront room which was well worth the view from the sunrises to the sunsets. Also, we brought our cocker spaniel with us as the property is dog friendly. So dog-friendly, a pet bed and bowls were waiting for us in the room when we arrived. We ventured out to multiple beaches and found one that is dog friendly. We went stand-up paddling, jumped in numerous parts of the lake, went hiking to Emerald Bay, ate at some fun local spots, and drank unique cocktails at The Landing's own Jimmy's Restaurant. We ate two meals at Jimmy's during our four-night stay, dinner and breakfast/brunch, and both were delicious and provided good service. The staff at the property were friendly and welcoming. They even have a shuttle to take you into town 10 minutes away, so you do not have to drive and find parking. Also, if you want to drink or partake in any legal cannabis, you can worry-free. The Landing also has a pool, hot tub, and bikes! So much to enjoy, and if you gamble, you have options, but we opted not to go but immerse ourselves in nature by day. Usually, after dinner, we found ourselves enjoying our balcony and our fantastic bathtub! Great bed and bedding as well as pillows for a good night sleep waking up to blue birds sitting on the ledge of our balcony. Talk about a relaxing and recharged getaway. Thank you to the staff and the awesome new GM, David; you made our trip special! Read less

Never been so disappointed with a place that I paid so much money for. We stayed for 3 nights in August. Let’s start with the rooms. The pictures were like an Instagram model, because the pictures looked nothing like real life. The room was much smaller than it looked in the pictures. You literally had to keep moving the furniture around to be able to get around the bed. They put us in an accessible room, which means no countertop space around the sink, no tub, and the shower just sprays all over the floor. And the drain was clogged so it drained very slowly. The bed was extremely comfortable. The tv was large but had a dead spot in the middle that was annoying. We had to ask 3 times for clean towels before they finally brought them. They do have a shuttle that runs you around town, which is nice. Jimmy’s Restaurant at the resort was incredible. I’d go back there in a heartbeat even if I don’t stay there. Try the pork chop. Best I’ve ever had. Probably the most frustrating part is all the fees they hit you with. $20 a day for parking, $40 A day resort fee, $56 for “credit card recovery fee”. When we asked about the last one, they couldn’t explain it and just said it was a fee they charged. Really? I understand most of the fees, but when you are paying $1000 a night for a subpar room, you don’t want to be nickeled and dined to death. They did have great views and easy beach access, but all in all it wasn’t worth it and I won’t stay here again. Read less

The staff was warm, friendly, and very helpful. The location to the lake is great, and you're a five-minute walk to Heavenly Village, restaurants, shops, and casinos. The BEST part about this adventure was The Landing takes dogs! My partner and I love to travel but struggle to leave our fur baby at home. This was such a special trip to have our dog with us and enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe together. The Landing had wonderful pet amenities in the room and suggested great dog-friendly walks that our pup could be off leash and run on the beach. We LOVED The Landing and can't wait to return to make more meaningful and memorable memories. Read less
