Sheraton Samui Resort

Koh Samui, Thailand

The hotel

It’s really all about the beach in Koh Samui, and Sheraton Samui Resort offers sand in spades. Making the most of its Chaweng Noi Beach spot, dining, drinking and swimming are all set against the ocean backdrop. Blue Monkey’s wooden deck delivers ocean views as you try unique ‘Pairings’ of craft beers and bar snacks or small plates and fine wines. The whitewashed wood and wicker of Long Talay give a beach house feel as you tuck into decadent buffets. A beachfront lagoon pool skirts the sand for sumptuous seafront swims. And the bell by your beach lounger can be used to order food so you never have to leave the shore. Although, if you do, you’ll find a peaceful garden pool with whirlpool, fabulous guest rooms, and the stunning lantern-lit Lobby Lounge.

First of all, we would like to thank Sheraton’s family for such an amazing time we had! The staff we met was such nice, caring and helpful people we felt really special being around them! We had an opportunity to meet the Chef, and we have only good words to say about him! Such a talented professional- every single dish we had during our stay was just spectacular! Sheraton’s breakfast buffet is just spectacular! We would definitely recommend it and dreamed about it when back home! :) There are such a variety of choices starting with their signature eggs Benedict and ending with fresh juices station where you can mix yourself a healthy cocktail. Not to mention the pancakes and waffle station and other fabulous areas. Amazing coffee by the way! We got superior King guest room and it was just fantastic! Super-clean, spacious, modern nice interior, amazing bathroom space, beautiful view of the balcony. We really enjoyed both of pools- one surrounded by gardens, more quiet, cosy, and the second one- perfectly suited by the beach. There is also great gym area and kids activity centre which we found just wonderful. What we found in Sheraton is a great modern luxury designed hotel combined with all the best hospitality you can get. We got what we expected and more! Read less

The minute you arrive at Sheraton Samui , you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean and was large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast at Coco Spice was delicious , with so much choice , as was the food in the restaurant Long Talay. It is a shame that Coco Spice is not open for dinner too as another choice . There are a few roadside restaurants outside the resort . Sean Ogs La Lanterna and Siam which are good . At the pool and beach there was always plenty of beach chairs available and poolside attendants to assist with a big smile. Drinks and food was served with the press of a button. The hotel manager Michael Grimmer was always around the resort for a friendly chat to all the guests. There was a shuttle bus available to and from Chaweng for a small fee. Overall the staff and service and food was fantastic . The only down side was , it's an older hotel ,a bit dated and tired. But we still had a wonderful time . Read less

We spent our last night in this hôtel. The standard is still very good. The reception very professional. Our studio room had all the amenities we could ask for. And we had a very nice seaview. But above all, the treatment we've got at the SPA was fabulous. Maybe the best we ever had in asia.

Everyone form the guys at the reception looking after bags and getting taxis ect , the girls on reception, room staff and beach team are all excellent and a credit to Michael and the owners Only down side was the renovations to the beach bar which caused some problems for my wife getting on/off the beach as she cannot manage lots of stairs, this was solved by the use of a temporary bridge through the renovation site but ill not spend time on that other than to say id id been the HSE manager id not have used it for clients in a million years ! All in all another great visit Read less

We made a family trip there last wk and felt sorry to stay there just 2 nights. Chaweng Noi is pretty quiet and clean though the beach is much shorter than Chaweng. We love Sheraton on a comfy guest room, polite and friendly staffs, good breakfast quality, OK pools, and activities at the kids club. Next trip in Samui definitely at Sheraton again.
