Sheraton Samui Resort

Koh Samui, Thailand

The hotel

It’s really all about the beach in Koh Samui, and Sheraton Samui Resort offers sand in spades. Making the most of its Chaweng Noi Beach spot, dining, drinking and swimming are all set against the ocean backdrop. Blue Monkey’s wooden deck delivers ocean views as you try unique ‘Pairings’ of craft beers and bar snacks or small plates and fine wines. The whitewashed wood and wicker of Long Talay give a beach house feel as you tuck into decadent buffets. A beachfront lagoon pool skirts the sand for sumptuous seafront swims. And the bell by your beach lounger can be used to order food so you never have to leave the shore. Although, if you do, you’ll find a peaceful garden pool with whirlpool, fabulous guest rooms, and the stunning lantern-lit Lobby Lounge.

First evening here and while the service is excellent, rooms are comfortable albeit dated, the hotel is next to a beach night club which as I type this review is blasting electronic music at 12am! I hear nonstop electronic dance music which is supposed to go until 4am!. While the beach club is not owned by the Sheraton, I have no idea how the… Read more

I hear nonstop electronic dance music which is supposed to go until 4am!. While the beach club is not owned by the Sheraton, I have no idea how the Sheraton could be unable to manage its relationships with its neighbors in manner that allows for a less extreme disturbance to their guests. Even worse, it seems like they have no idea when these beach club all night dance parties take place! Read less

The views from the room amazing and the sound of the waves crashing in the morning such an amazing sound to wake to. Would like to thank Jinny at the Blue Monkey. As well as all of the pool staff (don’t have their names) for making our stay so enjoyable. Read less

We stayed at this property in the first week of August, for three nights. The property is right next to Chewang Noi beach with easy accessibility to the beach. Its a large property and although it looks a bit old its well maintained. There are 2 swimming pools, gym, spa and 3 restaurants serving different cuisines and a coffee shop. The staff is pleasant, always smiling and helpful our check-in and check out happened very smoothly. The rooms are nice and spacious. For the first 2 nights our room was right next to the beach (we got an upgrade), there are a lot of chairs on the beach for guests to relax. The beach was also not crowded wich made it good for walks and games which lot of people were doing. The breakfast spread was good, we also tried one of the restaurants one day for dinner and enjoyed the food. There are lot of small restaurants, coffee shop, pharmacy right outside the property if anyone is interested in local food. We did try a few and liked most of what we ordered. The hotel also provides a shuttle (paid) service to the mall which has enough shopping and food options. The street behind the mall is also good for shopping and food. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Sheraton Samui. Read less

The breakfast buffet is expensive for Thailand but the food is ok. However, the restaurant for dinner was expensive and horrible. I wasn't sure how it was possible for everything that we ordered to be bad. Nice location on the beach, but wish their food was better.

We chose Sheraton Koh Samui as our hotel and destination for bringing in new years @ 2020. Completely a wrong choice. While a beautiful property backed by good people but dont forget to bring your own Baygon spray to keep the lizards away. We found a lizard in our room at the time of checking in. After calling the house keeping team helped us take the lizard out. We were relieved but not for long as we found another one in the room folder at the desk. We called the house keeping team and they promptly took it away. The worst is we found another on in our wardrobe. Not what you expect from Sheraton. Tonight we are sleeping with our stuff in our bags and bags zipped up as we know a lizard is on go. Pls bring your own Baygon spray if you're coming here. No more comments Read less
