Our first visit to Koh Samui and the Amari did not disappoint! A small drive from the airport and we were in Paradise. We booked the family room with the upper loft area, which our 7 and 10 year old loved having their own space, we were located across the road in the garden wing but it was no issue if we wanted to walk over to the beach side. We dined at Prego a few time and the food here was delicious, our kids loved the spag bol and cheese pizza. Breakfast had a great spread with a cool room type for part of the buffet. Pools were always clean, sparkling water and lots of day beds and towels. My husband hired a kayak out the front and took the kids out for a paddle which they loved. As we come from Australia, we frequent Bali quite a bit, we found there was as much at our "doorstep" Had to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the shops and markets, path is not so stroller friendly. My daughter got her hair braided at a Spa named East by South, lovely ladies and I got the most amazing foot massage while I waited. The kids used the kids club once and my 10 year old told me some adults entered the kids club, with no kids and used it as a chill area, which I was not comfortable with, the staff did not tell these other guests to leave. Other staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Other than that we enjoyed our holiday. Read less

I went to the Amari koh samui for my 50th birthday Nov 23. Great experience, greeted on arrival by the staff and they even upgraded our room to a villa. Nice touch I say. 😉 Thanks Pen for recommending the Amari hotel. I'll be booking here again if I go back to Thailand. The breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we tried. This was my second stay at the Amari (first time was prior to Covid) and thankfully nothing has changed at this incredible resort, and as before it was a quite incredible experience. From the moment you check-in to the moment you leave, you truly feel like a valued VIP guest, with a smile, and a greeting from every single member of staff. In fact, it’s the whole team at the Amari which make the stay so memorable, and thanks and respect to Ruud - the GM - for assembling such a wonderful group of people. Special, thanks to Pen, Boom, Deer, Mah and the team at the pool bar and restaurant, they’re truly a family and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They were so kind and accommodating to us, and I would like to thank every one of them for that. The property itself is extremely attractive and beautifully kept - from the gardens, the interior of the buildings to the swimming pool and restrooms. Nothing is left to chance, everything immaculately maintained. I stayed in an upstairs Thai Village King room overlooking the pool, and it was absolutely gorgeous . Spacey, immaculate, extremely comfortable, in fact, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Food was delicious at the restaurant with the breakfast choice huge and so fresh every day. Suffice to say this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had and it was a pleasure to stay at the Amari. The only disappointment and sadness was when we had to leave, but we’ll be back for sure in 2024. Read less

Amari has been consistently excellent every time we have stayed. The staff are particularly friendly and nothing is too trouble. Fitness centre is very good and the breakfast choices are excellent. The location to the Main Street is ideal.
