We stayed here for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. We stayed in the garden wing not on the beach side but it didn't matter. The grounds were well maintained rooms were clean. Breakfast were excellent. Recommended for both families and couples

Our party of 11 had a great time over 12 days at the start of June. We first visited a couple of years ago, and it was great to get back and support them after the disruption of the past two years. Occupancy numbers were still quite low during our visit, so loungers were always available and the pool on the beach side was quiet for most of the time (more on that later). As always, the breakfasts were a superb offering with something to satisfy everyone. The great thing about this hotel are the staff. Zack keeps the restaurant and bar running like clockwork, and is always around for a chat, and making sure the guests are happy. The absolutely tireless Noeng does a fantastic job serving drinks and food, and never seems to go home. His young trainee Pack is getting in tune with requirements and looks to have a good future. Mentions also for May and Pla, the restaurant hosts, always ready with a smile and warm welcome. The Happy Hours from 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm were very welcome (and very well supported by our group) The front desk is excellent, and Rut on the front door was a great help in organising transport to and from the brilliant Santiburi Golf Club, and storage of our golf clubs. We just dropped him a short What'sApp with our requirements and everything was sorted. However, the star of the show is Nanthawan Channara (Pong), the Sales manager. Her communication over the past couple of years has been excellent, she takes care of everything and absolutely goes the extra mile. A big thanks to her from everyone in our Group. We asked her about a speed boat trip to Koh Taen and Koh Madson. She got an excellent deal from the Mr Men speedboat company, who picked us up from the hotel and gave us a great day out - highly recommended. Thanks also to her assistant Lung. Chaweng has taken a real hit due to the pandemic, and the vast majority of restaurants, shops and bars are still closed or have gone permanently. It's a 10 minute walk before any of the open premises are reached, and the strip lasts for only a few hundred metres before plunging back into darkness at night. However, there is enough open to eat in a different restaurant every night for 2 weeks, and they need your business. Our recommendations for great food would be Baan Ya Jai, one of the closest to the hotel., Your Place along the sand to the left of the hotel, Moonrise for Fish and Chips at the beach, the Journey at Casa Del Mar hotel and not least, the hotels own 'Prego' Italian restaurant. Strangely, Prego advertises a Happy Hour in their bar from 10pm to 11pm, but they close up much earlier. We were turned away one evening before 10.30. I don't see the point of advertising a Happy Hour when the restaurant is closing. It's great that this lovely hotel has survived the pandemic. During our stay, there were two children's birthday parties and two school visits, meaning the pool was quite noisy for periods of time, but to be fair, the children were very well behaved. We don't begrudge the hotel generating revenue in any way they can in difficult times, but I am aware that a few guests were unhappy with this policy, and when occupancy numbers increase, I can see it will become more of an issue. We wish everyone at the hotel continued success. Thanks for everything, If you're thinking of going to Samui, please consider the Amari. You won't be disappointed and the locals need your support. The more people that travel, the more businesses will re-open and it will recover. We look forward to the next occasion we can be there. Read less

We visited before booking staff immediately made us feel welcome and looking at the hotel facilities made it an absolute no brainer. We stayed in a standard room, ground floor. Modern, clean with great A/C. Pool areas are lovely, 1 overlooking the amazing beach and the other pool very quiet set in lovely garden area. The hotel is in 2 halves crossing a road. There is always a security guard there ready to get you across safely. Restaurant close to the pool was very good for an evening meal. Breakfast cannot be faulted so much choice with tea and coffee on tap. Honestly can't think of any criticism with this hotel I'd stay again in a heartbeat. Read less
