We booked in for a romantic week end... to start off with the room is really small. There is a part of the ceiling that dips down so if you are over 5’ you can’t walk in that side of the room. I nearly knocked myself out in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. It was so loud with parties we left our tv on and were woken to someone’s kid still crying the same as they were crying the night before. Maybe the walls are just paper thin. There was a pill on the floor(so I guess they didn’t vacuum between guests. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Banff over the year(ski vacations) and have plenty of others to recommend. We didn’t use any of the amenities at the hotel. The Keg was a nice option if they had a happy hour. But no happy hour and closing at 930 pm placed it at the end of the list of restaurants. I do not recommend this hotel. Read less

We stayed at the Caribou Lodge on a Saturday night. The service was really good, staff is friendly, the room was clean and the lobby is cozy. We ate at the Keg restaurant which is conveniently attached to the Lodge. Unfortunately there is no AC in the rooms, at least in our room, which made for a very bad sleep. We ate at the Keg restaurant which is conveniently attached to the Lodge. Unfortunately there is no AC in the rooms, at least in our room, which made for a very bad sleep. It was way tooo warm, even with the window open in mid September! Our cards to enter the room kept disactivating and we had to return twice to the front desk in a 24 hour period to activate them again (and the cards were not placed beside a cell phone). We would not stay there again because for $200/night you definitely expect a good night sleep and that was not the case for us. Maybe winter stays would be better. Read less

We stayed at the corner loft, Norquay suite. It was for my husbands birthday. I asked the hotel much in advance if they could do anything special (something as little as a happy birthday welcome sign) I was given a response saying they can’t guarantee but will try their best to do something special. I asked the hotel much in advance if they could do anything special (something as little as a happy birthday welcome sign) I was given a response saying they can’t guarantee but will try their best to do something special. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything there, not only that, they had just finished cleaning and a big vacuum cleaner was blocking the door, and the carpet was damp. The loft is spacious but the jacuzzi was old and outdated, some of the options not working. To be honest, I should’ve booked something like a Fairmont. The pictures of the room made me think this is a much better option. The “view” isn’t that great either. It was either too hot or too cold. Not warm enough duvet. Never booking this place for any special occasions. Read less

'You got what you paid for' - said an enormous woman at the front desk that decided to interfere in my conversation with the Front Desk Agent. 'You got what you paid for' - said an enormous woman at the front desk that decided to interfere in my conversation with the Front Desk Agent. Extremely rude, very unprofessional and simply unpleasant for an eye 'manager'(I would assume, since that person doesn't even know how to introduce herself), was saying that they simply don't care about the quality of the stay, and we get what we paid for. They don't preassign rooms to customers who are staying with them for a longer time. They do NOT wear masks. There was NO sanitizer in the lobby (it was empty). They say that they don't have any rooms but if I pay more, they will find a room... There was no shampoo or conditioner in the dispenser in the shower. Room 343 is literally facing the roof above the entrance. In front of the entrance, there were a lot of highly intoxicated people that were yelling until 2 am every night. In the elevator we were greeted by an escort person, who didn't hesitate to offer her services after she is done with a client. Outlets are conveniently hidden behind the dresser. Rooms are literally tiny and dirty. So... I guess I paid around a $1,000 for the worst experience in my life. Upon check out that don't even ask you about how was your stay (I guess they know how terrible it is). Bad location and a rather sketchy area. No value for any money. Read less

We left the hotel room door open so we could get some AC from the hall, 30 degrees and no cooling feature other than a small desk fan was no fun. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice however the washing dispensers were not stocked, only shampoo...no body wash or conditioner. You would think that during Covid and no housekeeping you would at least make sure there were enough toiletries. All in all decent location and a hot place to sleep but great hiking and activities in Banff Read less
