The lack of air conditioning and natural light really put a damper on our stay. Despite the provided fan, it was HOT in that room. Location is very good…. I left my souvenirs in the room and didn’t receive a response to my email enquire about them. Pretty disappointment about that.

We had a lovely stay in the Queen suite. Our room was spacious and had a nice lodge feel. The balcony view was spectacular and looked out at the mountains. We enjoyed our afternoon beverages on the balcony while being sun kissed. The room had a ceiling fan, mini fridge and portable fan. There was a nice breeze when the door was open. No air… Read more

No air conditioning in this room but the nights cooled off for a comfortable sleep. Very pleased. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating by upgrading us to a larger room. The location was the best. Close to everything. Would recommend. Read less

My expectations were higher than the experience we had here.Because of the weather we were in our room a lot.We felt like we were in a dungeon because of the lack of natural light. Also, the bed was not the greatest.I had a sore back after 2 nights.it was clean.

Covid aside, we just loved the character of the lodge, the location was so handy for everything in town. and having stayed at 2 other locationst this weekend, the attention to detail and maintenance was fantastic at this hotel. The staff were excellent - really helpful and knowledgeable and the home made cookies on arrival were a great touch! I'm sorry I don't have everyone's names. There is construction happening adjacent to the hotel, and a hotel representative called us a few weeks before we arrived to explain the disruption allowing us to make other plans if we needed to. The only slight inconvenience was parking offsite, but really it is very close and not an issue. The construction noise was not an issue as they did not start early enough to bother us. We would love to stay here next time we are in Banff. We had a great stay! Read less

We booked this originally through expedia (I tried to review on my phone and could not leave a written one through Expedia) Adam and the other gentlemen there that evening who's (forgive me) name I can't remember were both wonderful. Both were warm, friendly and welcoming. We had minor issues with our TV which were promptly and more than adequately addressed. We were happy to see they were following COVID protocols very well. There were hand sanitizer stations readily available at any high traffic area (elevators, main lobby) and the hotel itself was clean and in visibly good condition. We booked and stayed in a suite. The room was very nice. It was clean on arrival and we had no complaints. This is an older hotel and does not have air conditioning in the rooms (at least not the one we were in). It was hot the day we arrived but the access to the balcony was great and it cooled off enough in the evening to cool the room. There is currently construction on bear street, however we were staying on a Saturday evening so they were not working and truthfully it did not take away from our enjoyment of the balcony or the view. You have good views of Sulphur, Tunnel and Cascade mountain from the room. We were very happy with everything and would not hesitate to stay here in the future. A special thank you to Adam and the coworker who was with him on the evening of 09/05 for your friendly greeting, quickness to assist and overall pleasant demeanor. Thank you both for helping to make our stay so pleasant. Read less
