Alex was awesome. Nice vehicle and great food. His knowledge of the area was awesome. The kids also loved him. Highly recommended the hotel and Alex as a guide. Lake Louise was beautiful. Don’t go to Banff without going to lake Louise. Great trip

Went to my first ever paint and Sip class in my life. Had such an amazing time and so much fun. The banter from Melissa and guests was amazing, the teaching technique was fantastic, as someone who has never painted for more than 18yrs loved it! Landmark hotel with great character. Setting is unforgettable. We stayed two nights as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour . The room was a bit small and had a very compact bathroom but the bed was very comfortable. Good reading lights and good wifi. The hotel is huge - it offers a program of activities. We did the history walk around the hotel which was meant to last 45 minutes but finished in less than 25 minutes. The guide lacked knowledge and did not show features that friends were shown on another tour that did run for 45 minutes . She also spoke too fast and had to constantly refer to printed notes. There are lots of restaurants- worth noting that a shuttle service goes to the golf club restaurant. Food was pretty good and excellent expresso coffee from the take away cafe. All in all a great experience but a few details could be improved. Read less

Ethan our guide was fantastic. Strongly recommend. You understand the words location, location …. Location when you visit Banff. Fairmont Banff Springs is possibly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Just to visit all the hotel itself has to offer would take days, never mind the nature surrounding the hotel.
