Today it’s one of Calgary’s landmark buildings, offering a superb range of amenities and luxury accommodation in the heart of downtown. Dining at the Rimrock is essential whilst here, an incredible Tudor-style restaurant with barrelled ceilings and massive stone fireplace. Don’t miss out on the hotel’s award-winning Sunday Brunch, served in the grand lobby and accompanied by live piano music – book early to avoid disappointment. For drinks and entertainment, there’s the Oak Room, a cosmopolitan meeting space, serving tapas and cocktails along with some very cool jazz. Not family friendly. There was no parking information included with my reservation confirmation. The front of the hotel was under construction, so difficult to see any signage and easy to miss. I phoned the front desk for assistance in parking close as my son has a broken foot. The front counter employee advised to just choose the parkade at the front beside the hotel or the one at the back (on 10 ave); she did not explain that there are actually 3 parkade entrances on 10 ave and they are all named Palliser Parkade, and they do NOT all provide close parking. I was told parking was $13/ day when I ended up having to pay $86 for 1.5 days. Even parking in the "close" parkade on 9th Ave was a very long walk. No fridge that was useable - it was locked and full of items I would be charged for. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. The stewards and doormen were very polite and helpful with my injured son. I stayed at this hotel because it was a group requirement for a large event we were attending, but I would not choose to stay here again; there are plenty of other hotels downtown that have more than a blow dryer for room amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room Service was very fast and the food was delicious. Check in was quick and painless. Room was very clean and comfortable. Rooms are on the pricey end, but it is absolutely worth it for the luxury service. If you can get a discount it's even more worth it!

Check-in was easy. Stayed in a one-bedroom king suite on second floor. WiFi was terrible. Ordered room service coffee...also terrible. These are two basics that should never disappoint, but both did this time. Not clear in room how to order breakfast; no menu in room and nothing found on the in-room tv.
