The hotel

A true Rockies experience with a contemporary edge, The Crimson Jasper’s lobby greets you with artfully displayed logs and wooden skis — and naturally the odd touch of crimson inspired by the nation’s maple leaf flag and Mountie livery. Part of the fabric of Jasper, it’s only a block from downtown’s laid-back eateries and typical mountain village shops, with all the adventures of Jasper National Park in touching distance — including its snow sports thanks to the seasonal ski shuttle.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Canadian Rockies road trip. The hotel is fairly basic but very comfortable and the view from our room was amazing! Other reviews have mentioned the trains but we didn't hear any noise at all even though our room overlooked the railway. Location is good with some very nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Our favourite was Fiddle River and Alba Italian. The restaurant in the hotel looked nice too but we didn't try it as we weren't there for long. There is a good bakery called the Bears Paw with 5 minutes walk that serves lovely cakes and sandwiches. Would highly recommend. Read less

Decent hotel a short walk from many restaurants and shops in Jasper. Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. Friendly staff, particularly Sophie on Front Desk and Isabella at Breakfast. Didn’t hear any trains at all. One confusing thing, the lift registers the third floor as the second floor. There is also no signs at the lift telling you… Read more

Didn’t hear any trains at all. One confusing thing, the lift registers the third floor as the second floor. There is also no signs at the lift telling you what floor you’re on. If this can’t be easily fixed, just a sign when the door opens with the floor number would alleviate a lot of confusion at check in. Jasper is a small town, so prices are high, but we enjoyed our stay here and would have no issues returning. Read less

Had a great stay here during our trip to the Rockies. The staff were great & our room had a small kitchen area and was huge. The best part was the view from the balcony… wow just wow. Yes it’s next to the rail tracks, but this didn’t disturb our sleep. Great location and easy walk into Jasper and the shops, bars & restaurants. Loved Jasper & The… Read more

Rooms are basic. So called studio with fridge and microwave. Lots of “kitchen” cabinet that is completely empty with absolutely no utensils. What was the purpose of the cabinet? Location is at a quieter area of down town core but still close enough to walk to Patricia St shopping and eating area. Very basic lodging commanding a high price because it is Jasper. Read less
