The hotel

A true Rockies experience with a contemporary edge, The Crimson Jasper’s lobby greets you with artfully displayed logs and wooden skis — and naturally the odd touch of crimson inspired by the nation’s maple leaf flag and Mountie livery. Part of the fabric of Jasper, it’s only a block from downtown’s laid-back eateries and typical mountain village shops, with all the adventures of Jasper National Park in touching distance — including its snow sports thanks to the seasonal ski shuttle.

Plenty of parking and a great view from the front rooms looking towards the mountains. We were on the ground floor and had a free upgrade to a king room which was very welcome. An added benefit was that you could walk straight from the room to the car. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Lots of restaurants close by.

The bed linens and towels were nice. The beds were comfortable. Our package included 2 double beds and we had three to a room. It would have been more comfortable with queen beds, but we made it work. The in-room coffee was nice to have. Tap water is very tasty in the Canadian Rockies! The front desk was helpful when one of us had a minor medical… Read more

A very well situated hotel in Jasper, with parking. Opposite the train line but this didn't bother or disturb us and they provide earplugs, should you need them. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, our room wasn't serviced on one of the days, despite leaving out the card, asking for it to be done but it wasn't a big deal really. We just made our… Read more

Rooms are comfortable and spacious, our room wasn't serviced on one of the days, despite leaving out the card, asking for it to be done but it wasn't a big deal really. We just made our own bed that day. Staff friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in the hotel a couple of days and the food was good, our only complaint would be the towels, which are most definitely not soft or fluffy at all. Read less

One let down after another. Extremely basic for the price we paid. One let down after another. Extremely basic for the price we paid. Pool and hot tub were closed for routine maintenance from end of September... so when we called to confirm all was well for our Thanksgiving stay nothing was brought up. Paper thin walls so much so, that the train was a welcome distraction from what was going on in the room next to ours. We were also told that there wasn't enough parking for all who were staying at the hotel so if we found a spot, to park and not move it which we found very odd and frustrating. Read less
