A true Rockies experience with a contemporary edge, The Crimson Jasper’s lobby greets you with artfully displayed logs and wooden skis — and naturally the odd touch of crimson inspired by the nation’s maple leaf flag and Mountie livery. Part of the fabric of Jasper, it’s only a block from downtown’s laid-back eateries and typical mountain village shops, with all the adventures of Jasper National Park in touching distance — including its snow sports thanks to the seasonal ski shuttle.

Clean rooms and custom service was top notch. All staff super helpful and happy to be working there. Our room was upgraded for free to a junior suite.
Location is amazing because it’s right on the main strip so it’s an easy walk.
The food at the restaurant was delicious! Would definitely go back.

We love Jasper, it’s so much nicer than Banff (make sure you walk to the Athabasca River it’s an easy 30 -45 minute walk from The Crimson, follow the signs from the underpass to Old Fort Point). We stayed at The Crimson 6 years ago and liked it so opted to stay here again. The big plus with this hotel is its location, it’s a 5 minute walk to the…

We stayed at The Crimson 6 years ago and liked it so opted to stay here again. The big plus with this hotel is its location, it’s a 5 minute walk to the train station or main shops / restaurants of Jasper. It’s a modern hotel, lacking in character perhaps, but clean and comfortable- for UK visitors I would say it’s the equivalent of a Holiday Inn or Premier Inn. I have knocked off a star as when we stayed 6 years ago there was a great restaurant, more of a diner style restaurant with a TV showing the ice hockey and burgers etc on the menu. Sadly they have gone upmarket, which translates as much more expensive. I feel the restaurant is now more upmarket than the rest of the hotel! We had dinner there our 1st evening as we were tired (it was nothing special) and breakfast the next morning but after that ate in Jasper itself.

Pretty well everything about The Crimson was very good.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable and had a fantastic bed. Our bathroom and shower were of a high standard
We spoke with several staff and all were helpful and friendly
My only negative was the cost of a drink. They were very limited in terms of draft beer so I ended up having a…

My only negative was the cost of a drink. They were very limited in terms of draft beer so I ended up having a can of, fairly low alcohol, lager
It actually cost almost twice as much as a good pint of draft in nearby pubs
A shame as everything else was great

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Canadian Rockies road trip.
The hotel is fairly basic but very comfortable and the view from our room was amazing!
Other reviews have mentioned the trains but we didn't hear any noise at all even though our room overlooked the railway.

Location is good with some very nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
Our favourite was Fiddle River and Alba Italian.
The restaurant in the hotel looked nice too but we didn't try it as we weren't there for long.
There is a good bakery called the Bears Paw with 5 minutes walk that serves lovely cakes and sandwiches.
Would highly recommend.
