The Crimson

Jasper, Alberta

The hotel

A true Rockies experience with a contemporary edge, The Crimson Jasper’s lobby greets you with artfully displayed logs and wooden skis — and naturally the odd touch of crimson inspired by the nation’s maple leaf flag and Mountie livery. Part of the fabric of Jasper, it’s only a block from downtown’s laid-back eateries and typical mountain village shops, with all the adventures of Jasper National Park in touching distance — including its snow sports thanks to the seasonal ski shuttle.

I stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights with my family. The hotel is an okay to stay. Staff are friendly. Due to covid-19 no rooms services which irritated me. No iron box I had to request one. Our room was clean when we checked in.

Good Luck in making a reservation. I called 3 times - the first one sounded like I woke her up and did not really care about my question. I then tried to make a reservation online which created an error I then called and the next lady was no more enthused but did take my reservation. I called back a third time as i did not receive the confirmation email, this last man (Oliver) was actually sounded like he wanted to help me. Thank you Oliver! they did not have my email correct. He fixed everything for me. If it was not for me doing this as a gift to my son, I probably would have given up and looked elsewhere to stay and not pursed booking a room 4 times in one day. So good luck to you!!! Read less

The receptionist staff named Allen was wonderful & welcoming! He was extremely courteous & helpful at the front desk. The hotel bed was comfy & the hotel facilities in the hotel was spot on! The gym had some basic equipment enough for a good workout.

I have been to jasper 4 times now and this is the first time i stayed in the crimson , the hotel is on the main street opposite the railway lines , our room was facing them and we seen a lot of trains go past but it was not that loud they did not disturb us or wake us in the night . the room was very clean and tidy , we had 2 queen size beds that was comfortable and good quality. the room had a kettle, micro wave coffe machine and a fridge , the bathroom was quite a nice size the shower was awesom . The staff we seen on duty was very polite and friendly the rooms serviced every day with tea and coffe and clean towles and beds made . The hotel has a pool, not a very big pool and had a big hot tub / jacuzzi, but in my own opinion the water was way to hot. We used the resturaunt only a couple of times ,the breakfast was ok but could do with a bit more variety of hot food . the other time was early eveing we had burgers and they were very good and tasty . Overall the hotel is a nice place to stay . I am hopping to go skiing again next year and would quite happily stay here again Read less

Motel style hotel across the road from the railway track. Jasper is not a pretty town and the Crimson is not a pretty hotel. But its a great place to lay your head on a trip. Rooms are comfortable and a reasonable size. Parking was easy and breakfast was very good
