My wife and I were able to spend a couple nights there this week and it was the first time either of us had stayed at this particular property. The entire stay was nothing short of amazing. The team at reception and check in was quick, friendly, welcoming and did it all through masks and barriers to abide by Covid Protocols (thank you!). The few times that I called the guest service desk from our room, they were cordial and very knowledgeable. The room was fantastic and the cleaning staff had obviously taken great care to ensure your protocols were followed. Little things like the remote being wrapped just reassured us of the measures that the Fairmont was taking for our safety during these unprecedented times. I would be remiss not to add that the view was arguably one of the most incredible views of any hotel either of us have ever stayed at, ever. We had the pleasure of dining in the hotel at both the Lakeview Lounge and the Fairview Bar. In both cases the food was beyond exquisite and my hat is off to the kitchen! My wife may never let me grill steak again after the Wagu that she ordered! The cherry glace for my duck was mouthwatering and the cocktails that were recommended by our waiter were perfect! I will be attempting to learn how to make a Coastal Campaign in my kitchen. I can only imagine how difficult the hotel industry is during this pandemic but again, I want to both thank and commend you on your amazing team. Absolutely every Fairmont employee that we interacted with over the three days was exceptional. The gentleman (British accent but I don't remember his name) that was outside Monday evening hosting the "Back to Nature" event was awesome. Very personable and took the time to talk with everyone without attempting to force a conversation. He even remembered us the next day when we crossed paths in one of the hallways by the lounge. This trip was very special for my wife and I and beyond the obvious scenery and fortunate weather we experienced, it was the service from your team that made it wonderful. Read less

Furnitures in discount centers/shops are way more decent, lots of amenities are closed due to the pandemic (pool included) which is understood but at least offer some credits to your guests for this reason. We have decided to book another family getaway during the Easter weekend in Kananaskis Pomeroy hotel and boy the experience was way much better (water park was open , buffet Easter brunch was served without breaking our bank!!!) please people don’t waste your money in FairmontLake louise, it’s not worth it!!! That will be a one off for me. Not coming back. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Gold floor worth the upgrade

Gold floor lounge was great. Full breakfast, great service. Room exceeded my expectations - very roomy and large bathroom! Being an older hotel, the rooms facing the lake are usually very tiny, but ours was very large and fit our family of 5 very easily.

The service, scenery, meals and room made this the most amazing experience that we have had. TripAdvisor wants me to type more so I am adding more and more words until I fill my minimum quota. Almost done. Thanks
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Canmores a much better option

Strict staff with no freedom. If luxurious surveillance is what your looking for this is a great option. The 5 star experience methodology has been replaced with protecting adults from making informed decisions. The price is still 5 star. Canmore is a much better option.
