764 rooms on 9 floors in 3 wings with 8 lifts. All with satellite TV with pay-per-view films, WiFi Internet access*, telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, hairdryer and iron and board. Fairmont Rooms with 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Deluxe Rooms are larger with either 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed or 2 queen-size beds sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Junior Suites have 1 king-size bed and a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Fairmont Gold Rooms are located on the 4th and 5th floors with private check-in and access to exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge which offers continental breakfast, tea and coffee and complimentary evening canapés (5:00pm–7:00pm), rooms have either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds and sleep maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and blessed with a magnificent location. Unfortunately, this area is being affected by the fires in the area. Visability and air quailty aren't good. We made reservations at the hotel website and checked in online. We confirmed the hotel room we wanted more than once. When we arrived, our checkin could note be found. The desk clerk said our room would be upgraded and gave us information about the room, which wasn't the room we reserved. The hotel manager got involved but could not fix the problem. Instead he said that if we did not call the hotel directly instead of the 800 number, the specific room cannot be promised. Further he said they have had a number of rooms with plumbing problems. Finally, he gave us vouchers for breakfast and drinks. The hotel needs to get their reservation system under control. If the reservation system includes calling the hotel direct or 800, it should not matter. I went over that I wanted the top floor in the main hotel facing the mountains, several times with the reservationist. The rooms are expensive. I don't have a problem paying the rate. I have a problem with paying for something I did not get and then being told I'm getting an upgrade to something I do note want. Read less

The hotel is expansive and a bit of a maze which makes it fun, though finding your way around can be challenging ate first, but that is part of what makes it a great place to stay. Read less

We had never been to Banff and our stay at the Fairmont Banff was nothing short of amazing. Every staff member we encored there to assist us in any way. Every morning at breakfast Adam our waiter had our order and ready to put it in. Mike and his team out on the front drive were ready to assist with directions and Recommendations. We had very nice Wildlife tour with Isabelle. She even packed us a goodie bag and a home made battleship. She saw my kids playing it as we waited for the tour to start. I know summer is crazy busy with groups and tours coming in non stop, but everyone we encountered went out of their way to ensure my family had an amazing trip.
