The hotel

In mid Montreal’s entertainment quarter, this elegant hotel is filled with treats to distract you from its enticing urban surroundings. There are spa treatments, games of pool, complimentary WiFi, invigorating gym, sauna, and steam room sessions, and dips in its indoor pool – a glorious sunken space flooded with light from the glazed ceiling and steps from an al fresco ‘terrace with a view’. There’s a second terrace at SIX Resto Lounge and Wine Bar, serving up views over Quartier des Spectacles. Of course, it’s the location you came for – and Doubletree by Hilton Montreal delivers it. Connected to Complexe Desjardins, it gives almost instant access to more than 100 shops and eateries, and to a subway station for city sightseeing. You can even head out for a run along Mount Royal or Canal Lachine with Claude from the front desk.

I stayed at this hotel in May of 2018 and the valet service damaged the rims on my car. They scraped my rims along the curb which are covered in yellow paint. It was evident they caused the damage. Their Head of Security Jimmy Failia and Director of Rooms Azeena Jiwan acknowledged accountability and assured the matter would be addressed by their insurance company. Here we are almost a year later, a plethora of emails and phone calls, and still trying to get reimbursed for the damaged caused to my car. A total lack of disregard or consideration for their customers. Read less

Formerly the Hyatt, we found it had grown a little old and staid. Now under the Hilton banner (Doubletree) we were pleasantly surprised. Clean, fresh and modern with many of the old amenities we enjoyed our weekend stay. The breakfast buffet is still a little pricey but the food quality was very good.

Spend two nights there this past weekend and very much enjoyed the location. The staff was friendly and professional. The executive lounge was really nice with a great happy hour. The room was very spacious with all amenities necessary for a great stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Parking wasn't too bad either at only $12/day. We… Read more

I visited this hotel in late November 2018 - mere days before, it turns out, it was converted to a Hilton. The rooms were gorgeous. Great bed, beautiful live edge work desk, and clean bathroom. The reception clerks were absolutely awful. After talking to each other for several minutes despite a long line up, one of them finally signed and invited the first person to register. He failed to provide me with any basic information (including the wifi info, where to take the elevators to my room, or where the fitness centre was). The hotel had also failed to notify us that the pool was closed during our stay. Otherwise, the hotel is nice, but the hotel is oddly nightclub-y during the day. Read less

My wife and I spent a few nights in Montreal in late December. We stayed at the Double Tree hotel in Montreal. Upon check-in we were greeted by the staff, our room was upgraded, and the staff was absolutely amazing. Our room was clean, well furnished and the hotel was in a great location and close to many of the area attractions. We had a drink in the hotel restaurant and again we were amazed by the friendly staff who made many recommendations about places to visit during our time in Montreal. It great to interact with people who love what they do and who are great at their jobs. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again. Read less
