The hotel

In mid Montreal’s entertainment quarter, this elegant hotel is filled with treats to distract you from its enticing urban surroundings. Dip in its indoor pool – a glorious sunken space flooded with light from the glazed ceiling and steps from an al fresco ‘terrace with a view’. There’s a second terrace at Bivouac, serving up views over Quartier des Spectacles. Of course, it’s the location you came for – and Doubletree by Hilton Montreal delivers it. Connected to Complexe Desjardins, it gives almost instant access to more than 100 shops and eateries, and to a subway station for city sightseeing. You can even head out for a run along Mount Royal or Canal Lachine.

The hotel's service was excellent; the maid service immaculate; attached to a mall, so a food court was available for a quick/economical meal if you did not want to fine dine. It was 15 to 25 minutes walking time to Old Montreal and Notre Dame Cathedral. The area immediately around the hotel offered a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Never… Read more

When we arrived I noticed a new bandaid on the floor, a used towel under the vanity and a long hair stuck on the ceiling. Then after housekeeping was in the next day, the cups, coffee, stir stick, cream and sugar were not replenished. The construction noise was also ver annoying. Will not stay here again.

What one would expect from a quality hotel situated in the heart of a high price tourist district. Everything was well done but it comes at a cost! As long as you understand that going in you will not be disappointed!
