I heard no noise from either the hallway or other guest rooms - slept great here. The club room staff is caring and efficient, and there is a fine selection of hors d'oeuvres and drinks in a lovely atmosphere. The 747 bus from YUL stops very close by. (Peel/Drummond) If you are traveling on VIA Rail Canada it is a short walk to the station (Gare Centrale). For us, this hotel was perfect. We are walkers; it took us about 20 minutes to walk to Old Montreal. The ease of getting there on the 747 bus and easy access to the train station were the main reasons we chose this property, once we were there we were extremely glad we did. Read less

Stayed at this hotel for conference before and liked it. Unfortunately, my last stay was quite unpleasant. I was charged twice for room service and also charged for complimentary internet. Called hotel and asked for refund. They charged me one more time instead. No apology. The service representative was quite rude on the phone.

This hotel was booked because of it's close proximity to the Bell Center. It's rooms are great, spacious, and always maintained with cleanliness. It's a very short walk to the Bell Center, and there is a large variety of food establishments surrounding the hotel. The pool & gym area is great, lots of machines to choose from. This was my second stay and an adventurous one, as we were taking two preteens to a concert that we thought was located across the street at Centre Bell, but was in fact an hour away at Place Bell in Laval. The concierge, Marie, figured this out just hours before the show and gave us clear directions to take the orange line. She also gave us her business card in case we had any trouble. She saved the entire trip for us, because without her intervention, we wouldn't have realized our mistake until it was too late. To top it all off, she learned it was the birthday of someone in our party and sent a treat to our room with a happy birthday note. It was the first time in my life that a concierge hugged me before leaving! Aside from that though, the hotel itself is located near some of the best shopping and food in Montreal. It's located right across the street from Centre Bell (note: NOT Place Bell :)). There is also a small salon on the lower level where we took the girls to get their hair done before the show at a reasonable price. The pool was a highlight - clean and updated with a large whirlpool and sauna. In all, the facilities were just fine but even the terrific location took second place to the service. The staff are what make the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing, and the Sheraton should give Marie a bonus and use her as a model for concierges across their properties. She truly went above and beyond the call. Read less

I travel to Montreal frequently. I like the location. Rooms are starting to look a bit tired. Currently undergoing renovations on upper floors so maybe those rooms will be better. Upon arrival I was put in a room so small I had no place to open my suitcase. Upon complaining to the front desk they found me a marginally better room. I’ll… Read more
