This recently renovated hotel is charming! The rooms are bright and beautiful with amazing views of the city! Within a five minute walk to the Bell centre, shops and restaurants (in the heart of downtown.) Looking forward to my next stay.

We will definitely make this our place to stay when visiting Montreal. Looking forward to going back next year when the theater begins to have dinner shows again. Read less

I have stayed at the Marriott Chateau Champlain for more than 35 years. It is currently undergoing a renovation, yet none of the work disrupted my stay. It is perfectly located in the heart of Montreal, connected to the Metro and underground city, the Bell Centre, the train station (a bit of a walk and a few escalators, but still inside, important during my cold January visit) and many other sites. My room was immaculate with one of the best showers (four separate settings, from waterfall to rain shower to streaming jets to wand) and a comfy bed, in which I slept soundly. Beautiful view from the high floor. Their fitness center is one of the best I have seen in any hotel. I was visiting my son, who is a student at McGill. He and I enjoyed drinks at the bar and the only area where the facelift was apparent was the room in which I had breakfast, which was clearly a temporary setup. All staff were courteous and friendly. On an October visit to Montreal, I stayed at the Renaissance because the Chateau Champlain was booked solid. I would choose this hotel over the Renaissance in a heartbeat. Read less

We stayed at this hotel both for a hockey game and for sightseeing. The staff was great and the room was well kept. The concierge was great as well with ideas for sightseeing. If you are going to see the Canadiens this is a must stay place.

Took my daughter to her first hockey game and decided to stay here because of location, price and my daughter's one request it must have a pool. Fun fact, despite their website which has only recently been updated, they have no pool. She was really disappointed and to be honest if I had know I would have chose elsewhere as this was a huge request she had for our weekend getaway. Other than that though this hotel is great. It's location is perfect for pretty much anything you want to do downtown. Rooms were spacious and well kept. We stayed in a newly renovated room which had plenty of room. Staff were friendly and more than helpful with anything you might need. Food in the restaurant was delicious but I was sad to hear from a waiter that it was closing. Not sure if they are just renovation or just closing up shop. My daughter was amazed at the doormen taking our bags and opening the doors, and calling the elevator for us. She said "dad I feel like I'm the queen". So despite being upset over the pool I promised her she had a great time and love the view of the beautiful city from out high floor with the 180 view windows. For trips with friends or with my wife I will definitely stay here again, but kids trips will be based on their requests. Read less
