Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Suites

Niagara Falls, Niagara

The hotel

Everyone knows ‘waterfall views’ top the hotel wish list for every Niagara visitor. And that’s exactly what Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Suites delivers. In fact, TripAdvisor voted it in the Top 10 Hotel Rooms Views in the World. But it’s The Watermark Restaurant on the 33rd floor that really provides the photo ops: with its multi-level seating and floor-to-ceiling windows forcing the farm-to-fork menu to take second stage. One floor up and the rooftop Myst Lounge throws in extra selfie spots — and cocktails. Once you’ve had your fill of the falls, you can head to the adjoining Fallsview Casino; the hotel’s chill-out pool with its spiralling waterslide, hot tub, and sauna; or its other dining venues, from an all-you-can eat Brazilian ‘churrascaria’ steakhouse to an all-you-can-eat Southern-style barbecue smokehouse.

Worst experience at a Hilton ever. From the moment we arrived, it was sub-par. Parking is $25-$35/night in addition to room. The garage is filthy with empty vending machines and broken elevators. Once inside, we were given a room in the North (crappy) Tower. Dropped our bags and headed out to enjoy the falls. Upon returning that night, our room was sweltering. We called maintenance, who arrived ten minutes later. Somehow he got the AC working, so we elected to stay in the room. Huge mistake. By 1am, the AC was broken again. We sweated all night and got little sleep. By morning, it was 82 degrees in the room. We packed up, either to switch rooms or check out. The front desk persuaded us to stay by comping the exorbitant parking fee and giving us an upgraded room and 10% off. In addition to the broken AC, the shower head was broken and the curtains had a bloody fingerprint. The second room in the South Tower was nicer but no cleaner. We tried ordering room service the second night. Upon calling, when answered we were greeted with a terse "hold please" and left on hold. Ten minutes later, the call was disconnected. We opted to brave the heat at a local restaurant instead. All in all, a horrible stay at a beautiful natural attraction. The parking garage and north tower elevators are abysmal. The hotel is apparently being renovated, so be prepared to deal with construction. The staff is apathetic and service is horrible. As a long time Hilton customer, I am saddened to say that it will be some time before I even consider stepping foot in another Hilton, let alone giving them any of my money. I recommend you save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere. Read less

Washroom light was not working, shower cubicle had a horrid smell, washroom vent was terrible full of dust and Lint, the rooms windows were covered in spider webs although from outside but enough for spoiling the view. Imagine a beautiful view of falls with a dash of webs and spiders at the border..even residential complex keeps the high rise glasses clean, the hotel and that too Hilton 4 star is expected to do better. We had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Fallsview. We got a good deal because of covid, which made the stay worth it, but honestly the best part of our stay was the view. They didn’t have many guidelines in place to protect staff and guests from covid. The overall feel of the hotel is pretty cold. Although staff were friendly, you definitely get the impression that they don’t really care if you enjoy your stay or not. They know they have a view of the falls and they will get people no matter what. So although the price is over the top, the service doesn’t really match. Also I feel the rooms could use a bit of an update especially because of the way they brand themselves. I was also told I was getting a voucher for dinner and breakfast upon arrival that would be available at their Italian restaurant and Starbucks only to be told I wasn’t when I went to use it. This hotel is fine and you’ll have a pleasant stay if you’re willing to shell out for it, but it’s nothing special and I had just as pleasant experience in a shockingly similar room (that included parking and a bagged breakfast at your door) at the motel I stayed at the next night for $80. Our first impression of the hotel was great! Parking is close (but insanely expensive), the lobby is beautiful and the check-in staff were very nice. But then, we went to our room. The furniture is all old and scratched up, the carpet was wavy, the windows were dirty, the TV screens were old and didn't work well, many channels also didn't work or had a low signal, and the room was overall simply outdated. The walls are also very thin and we heard people from the hall and other rooms. The lights are messed up so that when we left the bathroom light on overnight for the kids, the light came beaming in through our bedroom also. It felt more like a nice Best Western rather than a Hilton. Overall, I don't think we'll be back there and wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for a higher standard hotel. Read less

You can barely see the falls over the other structures, you might get a clear view if you were at the top floor, we were between the top and middle and could not, but the city lights at night were alright. The expense for the room was a bit much considering it was standard, not spacious like some resorts would have it, the bed took up majority of the space and the whirl pool was neat but not top notch, just basic whirl pool tub, there was a window by the tub with a curtain that rolls up so you can relax and enjoy the TV from there. You can order food to your room, the menu's are really basic and expensive though. It felt like overpaying for an experience that you weren't even getting... The halls and elevator have a lot of traffic, the dining area in the hotel is always busy. We ate out just to avoid the crowds. If you went for a smoke outside the hotel, there really isn't a spot, and it is incredibly windy! The hotel honestly was not worth the money. Honestly you are just getting a room, they keep it clean for you, that's it. The plus side is there is a valet to park your car. I would stay else where next time... Read less
