Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Suites

The hotel

Everyone knows ‘waterfall views’ top the hotel wish list for every Niagara visitor. And that’s exactly what Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Suites delivers. In fact, TripAdvisor voted it in the Top 10 Hotel Rooms Views in the World. But it’s The Watermark Restaurant on the 33rd floor that really provides the photo ops: with its multi-level seating and floor-to-ceiling windows forcing the farm-to-fork menu to take second stage. One floor up and the rooftop Myst Lounge throws in extra selfie spots — and cocktails. Once you’ve had your fill of the falls, you can head to the adjoining Fallsview Casino; the hotel’s chill-out pool with its spiralling waterslide, hot tub, and sauna; or its other dining venues, from an all-you-can eat Brazilian ‘churrascaria’ steakhouse to an all-you-can-eat Southern-style barbecue smokehouse.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights as I was attending a conference. The hotel was very nice and my room was very clean. I stayed in a king jacuzzi overlooking the casino. Everything was great except for one thing that is only related to my preference - the pillows. This is not something the hotel did wrong. I just like a really, really flat pillow and I found the pillows on my bed were a bit too full. Again, just a personal preference and I’m sure 99.9% of the population would like them! One other thing I found was that my shower leaked water on the floor. I did not report this problem but I did leave it in the feedback. I had to use several extra towels to clean it up. A special thank you to Dierdra at the front desk who accommodated my friend and I. We were there for a conference and had lots of equipment. Originally, we were on different floors but Dierdra was able to move us to the same floor and just a few doors down from each other. Thanks again, Dierdra! It was a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend staying here. Read less

Our first room was 2001 for our first night. The room is as 25.5 C through the night and we could not sleep as it was so hot. We asked to switch rooms and they gave us an upgrade to room 2061 in North tower. Which was quite nice. It made me vomit it was so disgusting. Probably the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel in my life. Everything about this hotel is expensive but it is so poorly run and cleaned it is astonishing that they charge what they do. Extremely disappointed and disgusted in the cleanliness and service. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with sofa bed. The Good : A big shout out to Christine at front desk who did everything possible to help. The view was great. The bathroom was clean. The Bad: The fridge and coffee machine did not work. The doors to the cupboard with the fridge were falling off. The quilts did not have any covers, just a white… Read more

The Bad: The fridge and coffee machine did not work. The doors to the cupboard with the fridge were falling off. The quilts did not have any covers, just a white sheet over it. The Ugly: The sofa bed was totally worn and the mattress was coming apart. As we opened it up, there were peanuts, chips and old snacks that fell out of it. It really was terrible. They was just one sheet on the bed. I'm totally disappointed with the hotel. Hilton is normally a good name but this one has been abandoned. It's such a shame. Read less

I elected to go for a premium falls view room at $CN 275. The reason being that this category of room promised stunning views of both Sets of Falls. However the room given was filthy and whilst it had a great view of the US Falls, the Horseshoe Falls were obscured by the casino opposite. So I went to reception and waited in line for nearly one hour to change the room. (Having waited almost an hour to check in on the first place. ) This room had a slightly better view and seemed equally grotty but it was getting late and I didn’t want to stand on line for another hour in the hole to get a cleaner room. The view really was the only thing positive I could say about staying here. Even though part of the Horseshoe Falls were still obscured it was still amazing. However only at night when the dirty windows didn’t detract from the scene. When I say dirty, I mean really dirty. The whole room was in fact disturbingly unclean. Including other people‘s used facemasks behind furniture and so much dust. Mildew I’m the bathroom. Pictures hanging out of the frames. More stains on the carpet than patterns. Various liquid marks on the walls. Electrical sockets loose. And on and on and on. I took my daughter to the pool in the evening to be told I would need a ticket available from reception. So down I went and waited 45 minutes in line to get a ticket which only gave us 30 mins in the pool before it was due to close. However that didn’t matter as the pool was really cold and the view of the illuminated Falls was non existent because…..you guessed it, the windows were filthy. Added to the reflection from the krass interior lighting you couldn’t actually see the falls at all. (The view of the Falls from the infinity pool is a selling feature of the hotel). The final turd in the ointment was that parking was nearly CN$ 40 for a gravel yard a few blocks away. All in all the view was great but the rooms are very worn, poorly maintained and filthy. The windows so dirty it detracts from the view. The waiting times at reception (regardless of the time of day) we’re off the scale making any further requests or wishes very time consuming and it is way overpriced. I would recommend you stay at the Sheraton instead. It has arguably better views and is very definitely not as dated as the Hilton. Also the location a little better for the fun and games in the town. I’m afraid the name Hilton used to mean something. Not here. Read less

I booked a Jr. Presidential Suite & when I got to the hotel to check in .. they informed me I had a different room. They charged me $500 for a room upgrade when I had already purchased that Exact room! It wasn’t until I got home & checked my emails that I discovered the email. Checking in I questioned them about the room but I was so tired that I didn’t argue.. again my fault! Now The Manager of the hotel refuses to refund the $$ . I even sent them the email that shows my Jr Presidential Suite & they are saying.. if I understand them correctly that is an email they send to even!! How could that be! I have called my credit card company & I will write to the Canadian Travel Bureau informing them this Illegal activity!! Read less
