First of all we found all the staff to be very friendly, professional, helpful and we wish them well especially during this time of Covid. -This is listed as a 'Category 6' Bonvoy Hotel on their own system but it is only Cat 6 due to the View of the amazing Niagara Falls; especially if you can get a high floor 'falls view' room. The room itself featured a nice 50+ inch LG HD Tv with capability of HDMI for our Fire TV stick. No windows that open or balcony unfortunately (not like the Sheraton nearby) and so I noticed the in room air to get quite dry and we craved fresh air walks regularly. We are a family of 3 including a 3yr old son so we just booked two queen beds and were upgraded one notch to 'superior queen fallsview room'. Note that 'suite night upgrades' are not available at this hotel as per the bonvoy/marriott booking app. I'm not sure that they even have suites actually come to think of it. During Covid ... no pool, no exercise, no breakfast, no lounge (ETC) however they did offer $20 starbucks coupons per night so for our two nights we got $40. Note also that Starbucks pricing was inflated by atleast 30% over normal rates in Canada so your money is really worth a bit less however you can get a breakfast sandwich, fresh juice or hot drink and oatmeal etc so it's not that bad. SBUX in the lobby was open limited hours mornings until noon and some days 6-9pm (Thurs to Sun?). The hotel also had a restaurant for take out only but unfortunately it was another steakhouse (we don't eat meat). As Niagara is a 'tourist trap' in some ways.. there is HIGH taxes here including some mandatory city tax on top of HST/GST. You can get free 'WeGo' tourist transit bus passes however and quickly ride down to the Table Rock Horseshoe falls location free of charge and save yourself $28 car parking so we took advantage of that. Wifi worked good in the room. Parking ..self park across the street at the other marriott. EV charging for our electric car.. they had one dedicated Level 2 station over there inside the parking garage. Thanks ..but you need more I suspect. Now's a great time to upgrade I think; if I was the owners.. We had two mini fridges in our room and yes for a hotel advertising at Cat 6 and with us being platinum elite; i'm surprised at how small the superior Queen fallsview room was although we were mostly okay with it except the dry air. Also we had a fireplace and desk space for our laptop. Room had a bathtub which our son enjoyed. Sleep quality was good; no complaints. Location: fantastic however you need to either take the bus or drive down to the falls as the city hasn't bothered installing a path/staircase in all these years. Honestly for about the same price i'd rather stay back at the Sheraton by Clifton hill. Read less

Room was perfect and the service was stellar. Patricia Suter, I believe the manager, was especially helpful and made what would be expected to be tedious issues a breeze. Some of the features of the hotel were unavailable due to covid as expected, but obviously we can’t fault them for government regulations. Highly recommended.

This is our second time we booked Marriott hotel. First was Marriott that used to be Sheraton close to Monastery. Both times we had very bad experience. I cannot find other word than "scam". I cannot believe that such huge and respectable chain can do this to people but our second experience in February unfortunately confirm this. There is a scam going so be aware before you book. We've book for our Valentines day and 36 wedding anniversary nice two level Executive suite. We've got nice clothes for the photo shoot thinking that there are big windows floor to ceiling etc. When we arrived check in was fast but when I saw the room it was clearly not the room I booked on expedia. It was one level room , dark and small. I've paid top dollars (300 ) for the suite I booked through Expedia. When I went down to the manager and asked to give us our room he said that that was the room I booked on Expedia!!! I've tried to explain that this room is two times smaller that the room I booked and one-level he responded that this is Expedia fault since they misrepresented the room and that the only room in their system I paid for. We had similar exparience with Marriott in September 2020 when we booked Presidential suite for my wife's Birthday and were given completely different room and it took us 2 hours !!!! to get our room back. So something is clearly wrong between Expedia/Travelocity/Marriott going during booking process. So be aware that you might get absolutely different room (which is cheaper than the one you booked onlie). I wouldn't not book anything from Marriott through Expedia or Travelocity in the past since they dupe people and this is simple unacceptable ....we were so disappointed that they have spoiled our anniversary and not even said sorry...Very bad customer service. Stay away from Marriott Read less

We stayed at the Marriot Hotel and Spa at Niagara Falls ON Canada. We wanted to get away for 2 nights just to lounge around and watch movies for this stay. We recently lost our child. My husbands parents live with us so we needed some space and decided to stay two night at the Marriot Hotel and Spa in Niagara Falls. When I called Marriot to book the room, I told the lady on the other end that I would like a nice spacious room with a view of the falls, her first response was they are sold out but then a few seconds later she told me she has a Superior with a Whirlpool, she mentioned that they room is very spacious. I was very happy and said let book it. Throughout the call the customer service rep was very distracted, she multiple times put me on hold and had to deal with something in the background, which I didn’t mind at first but after the call ended the lady because she was so distracted forgot to send me my email confirmation. When I didn’t receive the email confirmation for a bit I had to call back and get another rep to send it to me. Once we reached the hotel we were told there is no hotel parking and that in -12 degrees we would have to walk and park somewhere else. We were not told this when we were booking the room. Next, we were told there is no bell boy to help us with our luggage, again not told that they are short on staff while we were booking. When we were leaving, I had to haul the luggage trolley myself all the way upstairs because no one could bring it for me to my room. We went to our room to put our luggage because we had to go park our car afterwards. I was shocked when I saw the room. It was so small. When I booked the room the CS rep told me that the room was very spacious. But that was not the case, there was one king bed with a chair. If Marriot did not have what I asked for why would they book me for it? I do not understand. The view was spectacular, but the room was insanely small for what is asked for and what I paid for! And paid a hefty amount for this room. There was no coffee machine in the room. Every time we needed hot water to drink we had to go downstairs to the lobby every time and get it from the concierge. A family member gave us a gift certificate to the Keg and we thought it would be nice to have dinner from the Keg, but when I asked for utensils, the hotel gave me plastic utensils, I asked for proper utensils but they said they don’t have them, how am I supposed to eat a steak with a plastic knife? There were multiple charges on my credit card and when I would see them I would get confused because those charges are not what I was told so I had to go down to concierge and ask them what they are. I understand there is a deposit but the CS rep should remind customers that. The amenities fees are charged separately, I was not told that. And honestly the amenities cant even be used due to covid so why am I being charged? The problem is that we were not made aware of any of this before hand. If we were aware we would have come prepared with our own arrangements. I think the CS rep just wanted to make the sale and she just sold me whatever she had. Its very unfortunate because we just wanted some comfort and space to grieve and the experience was not good at all. I understand due to COVID there maybe restriction on what and what not the hotel can do but it’s the job of the hotel to tell customers when they are booking what they are getting into. Overall was a disappointing experience. Read less
