My husband and I spent 2 nights here for a much needed getaway! From check in to check out, we were very impressed. We had dinner the first night in the restaurant which was amazing! Our server (didn’t get her name unfortunately, but she has been there for a long time) was so great! We decided to go back again the second night for drinks because of her! Room was clean and comfortable, no complaints. Looking forward to staying again when we can get away for another break! Thanks Read less

Stayin there right now and I can tell there is really nothing justifying such a high price. Staff is nice, location is great.. and thats about it. Room is old, stained walls, small room, found multiple hair on the floor, lots of noise coming from college street, breakfast an additional $15. Very disappointed

Great location in downtown with all amenities nearby, particularly for someone that doesn't plan to drive, otherwise, be prepared to pay for parking, $30/day. Room size isn't spacious due to its location. We could barely open our standard size luggage. Room and bathroom is clean but bathroom ceiling starts to peel off. Note there is no daily… Read more

I ended up picking this hotel as a combination of location, price, and the fact that I got an Expedia upgrade for free parking which saved me quite a lot of money. The rooms are clean and have enough space - I had 9 nights here and had no issues at all. The decor could be a little more modern, but other than that I wouldn't really have anything to say about it. The hotel did explain on check in that, due to pandemic, housekeeping will only come if you pre-book the day before it is required. Technically, if you wanted housekeeping every day you'd need to book each day. We were fine with this, and the room was cleaned each time we asked for it to happen. Room had a coffee machine and fridge (no microwave). Th e bed was comfy and shower / bath both worked well. No issues with wi-fi signal on the 17th floor. We didn't eat on site, nor use the pool /gym, so I cannot comment on them. Check in and check out were both easy - and the staff friendly. The location was great - right next to a subway stop, and just a minute from Yonge Street. Would stay here again. Read less

There is a lot of room for improvement. I paid $30 for an early check-in before 4 pm. I was first given a room where many things were in bad condition: The closet doors wouldn't slide. There is a lot of room for improvement. I paid $30 for an early check-in before 4 pm. I was first given a room where many things were in bad condition: The closet doors wouldn't slide. One of the drawers wouldn't open, a lamp wouldn't turn on, the tv cable was disconnected and there was humidity and holes in the walls, and mold growing in the corners of the room close to the windows. I had to ask for another room that was in better condition but when I moved there, the safety box was not working and had to wait until 4 pm for someone to fix the problem which was not fully fixed because one of the digits in the safety box screen wasn't showing. All of this made me be fully settle down around 4 pm, so the early check-in was completely useless. I asked if any of the fees could be waived and the manager was kind enough to offer free breakfasts every morning of my stay but I don't think this was enough for all the inconvenience. On my 2nd to last day, I extended my stay for 1 additional night, and even though I paid a higher rate for that additional night because of the short notice, when I asked for 1 additional breakfast voucher they said "We're giving you another breakfast voucher but this will be the last one". That same day I asked for fresh towels in the morning. They never arrived. I had to call a 2nd time around in the afternoon to have them delivered to my room. And despite asking for a quiet room and vice-versa (they could hear me) I could hear the noisy neighbours in the next room (or it was above I'm unsure) through the A/C ducts. No privacy whatsoever, not at all. I've always stayed at Holiday Inn properties and have always received decent to excellent service. I honestly don't know what's going on at Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto. Read less
