However, we had to stay for five nights or move hotels during our stay, so we took a chance despite the reviews. The first problem was that one elevator was not working, and according to reviews had not been for some time. After a couple of days, two elevators were not working! The rooms are VERY small. The AC did not work and it was too hot to sleep. Maintenance did not resolve the issue during our time there. We would not book there again. Read less

We were able to check in early which helped us get ourselves sorted after a very early start from the UK. Great location, short walk from Yonge St to restuarants and the hop on hop off bus stop. Only took us 30mins to walk to the CN tower. Bell desk booked our taxi back to the airport and we got the larger vehicle for the price of the town car. On site Starbucks is great for grabbing a coffee/snack while waiting for tour pick ups. Carlton restuarant has good breakfast selections for a reasonable price , on par with local restuarant prices for breakfast/brunch. 1 of 4 lifts didn't work during our visit which meant slightly longer waits but it didn't overly bother us as we don't rush around on holiday anyway. Stayed 3 nights. Room was extremely small (had to turn sideways to walk between the end of the bed and the closet), the bed was hard and squeeked, tiny fridge, no microwave. Beds were doubles, not queens. Elevators were excruciatingly slow and one of the four was out of order... we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for an elevator at 8am. Parking… Read more

Pluses: Staff were all helpful and friendly, location was good... Loblaws and Shopper's Drug Mart are on the same block as the hotel. A movie theatre is next door and there is a Starbucks at the front of the hotel. Read less

Also has coffee machine but uses paper cups all the time then makes a request to recycle and not have your room cleaned to help the environment for reward points! Also has fridge, ironing board and iron. Do not buy tickets from concierge before checking out buying direct as we asked what the discounted price was for the CN tower and they were charging 5 dollars more than what we paid at the CN Tower so you are not getting a good deal from them. Good location to all the areas we were interested in visiting, overall great time had by all in Toronto. Read less

Wow! Worst hotel ever. I was not expecting the best room at the Ritz Carlton but also wasn’t expecting to stay in a broom closet either. Tiny room with a tiny window facing a brick wall about 1/2 a foot away. Room was minuscule with the TV on a desk beside the bed. Only Chanel of interest (A&E) has no signal. Tiny room with a tiny window facing a brick wall about 1/2 a foot away. Room was minuscule with the TV on a desk beside the bed. Only Chanel of interest (A&E) has no signal. Bathroom was set up for wheelchair access I suppose. Fire alarm going off at 6:00am not the hotel’s fault, but NO intelligible messaging over the PA. The elevators were a minimum 5 minute wait at best. Ended up using the stairs both up and down. DO NOT STAY HERE! But if you don’t heed my warning at least refuse to stay in room # 322. Shockingly bad. Read less
