The hotel is small, clean, modern, with personality. It is probably a renovated apartment building - it is beautifully designed. The arrangement in the room makes you feel a bit like home. The even had a working record player. There is a hallway as you enter, where you can leave your wet shoes away from everything. Be aware that the king bed… Read more

Unbelievable hotel and one of the comfiest beds that I have ever slept in. The staff and Jared were amazing and helped our family with everything we needed. You are steps away from the subway which is extremely handy and I would highly recommend this hotel.

This Downtown Toronto 1950’s hotel is beautifully, tastefully and creatively refurbished. Interesting note: my Dad was the original architect for this hotel. It was designed at that time as a more modest hotel / apartment building. My modernist Dad would be impressed with stylish current renovation!! With a swank, nostalgia unlike any hotel I’ve seen, you are transported into the past with a clean modern vibe. Big room, big windows (shutters, no black out curtains that I could see), highly trendy big bar, charming in and outdoor restaurant. This is not Four Seasons luxury...it’s better in so many ways. Room outfitted with kettle, tea, instant coffee, comfortable beds and pillows...and a record player with groovy old record to spin! Awesome bathrooms with quality shower toiletries. The Anndore has the feel of a naughty getaway in the heart of Toronto. Though I would not hesitate to bring kids for a fun downtown experience. The restaurant “Constantine’s” is clearly a neighbourhood fave, great food and service. Great service, very clean everywhere...highly recommend. Read less
