The Westin Harbour Castle

Toronto, Canada

The hotel

A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet. Our SuperFoods menu features revitalizing dishes made from healthy ingredients rich in nutrients, antioxidants and delicious taste so you can feel energized and at your best all day. On the 38th floor, with panoramic views of the city and the lake, is Toula Restaurant and Bar, one of North America’s premier culinary destinations. Sit back and admire the views as you feast on gourmet Italian cuisine and fine wine.

This was my first visit to Toronto, and I really enjoyed staying at the Westin Harbour Castle. I like to walk around new cities, and the location of the Westin is perfect to walk north or south along the lake, or to walk to many of Toronto's great attractions. The hotel itself is a bit tired and could use a little refresher, but otherwise it was a nice stay. The view of the lake was fantastic; we were right above the ferry so could watch people coming and going all day. The rooms are incredibly quiet. We were literally right outside the elevator, and I never heard a single person during our 4-day visit (and I'm a light sleeper). I could hear a bit of activity in adjacent rooms, but it was very little. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. All-in-all, a nice place to stay. Read less

Stayed for our one year anniversary and the staff treated us really well. Had an amazing lake side mini suite with a view of. Toronto Island and everything in between. Room was really clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would go back in heart beat.

This is a decent business hotel with a great harbor location but it’s a business chain hotel experience, which is ok for business but not my first choice for personal travel. Check-in staff are excellent and very well trained - genuinely friendly and helpful. Linens are high quality but the rooms need a refresh - they are clean but just dated. With Marriott now pretty much owning the largest business hotel chains, their frequent guest programs will bring back captive travelers building loyalty points but until the chain starts to make investments in room upgrades and the guest experience, I’ll take a boutique hotel any day. Stayed 3 nights to go to Niagra Falls and to Rogers centre for a blue jays game...Arrived on Saturday and stayed til Tuesday...Enjoyed every day there. Plenty of entertainment there. Parking was not great as it is not part of the hotel. Hotel staff was wonderful..
