Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

The gentleman that went above and beyond to ensure this was the case, was Rushdy. I can’t thank him enough. We stayed on the 14th Heritage Floor, had a lovely room, and anything that we needed. Due to Covid, the Gold Lounge was not open; however, the room itself is beautifully appointed in the Fairmont style. Room service was fantastic, when we asked they brought up a small fridge for us, along with extra tea and welcome drinks given we were celebrating my Mom’s birthday. Rushdy, thank you for all you effort—it was indeed a incredible stay! Read less

This is a beautiful hotel located most central everything this beautiful city has to offer. Vancouver is a beautiful beautiful clean city and this is a beautiful hotel. Over a century old structure and a great piece of history and architecture. Its bee quiet due to covid restrictions and fortunately business are open and not shutdown like most part in Ontario. Dont know why they have shut down Toronto. The medical officers are running the country when the elected politicians are clueless. Any ways happy and felt very safe to see covid protocols in place and I am least bit worried travelling and dining out. Fortunately for BC Bonnie Henry is doing good so is Mr. Horgan. So is the people of BC. I think they want to work and continue with life rain or Shine. And that was a wonderful stay in Vancouver. Staff were all amazing and hardworking. Read less
