Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

The hotel was dead center, easy to walk to the waterfront and gastown. Upgraded the room at check in to a corner view. Their ambassadors dogs are awesome, my kids loved them. Valet was great no charge as I was driving my Tesla. Fairmont is all for green vehicles save $130 just on parking plus every morning woke up to a fully charge battery ready… Read more

Beautiful, well-aged hotel -- superb renovations make this a super spot for downtown Vancouver. The concierge staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, even offering me a shopping bag as I ventured out for bottled water. My room was a king facing the Vancouver Art Gallery -- my only quibbles about the room is the height of the sink in the bathroom (too high), the fact that internet access was a bit slow (perhaps because I'm near the end of the corridor and that the fitness centre was too warm (but I was there when the weather turned warm very quickly (in a property this large, I'm sure temperature adjustments take a while. But these truly are quibbles -- the bed is like heaven. The housekeeping staff were attentive. I'd requested a refrigerator in my room for medication and it was there, ready to go, when I arrived. Super location, superlative staff, great amenities. Highly recommended. Read less

Always memorable here at the Hotel Vancouver. First class all the way with great service, history, and a great location near the convention center, shopping and restaurants. Also a great in house spa!

Beautiful old hotel, tastefully updated with a modern feel. Rooms were generous in size although bathrooms were a little tight. Staff were tremendous - especially the Concierge, Bell and Reception staff.
