Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

Best hotel in Vancouver. Never fails to amaze. The location is fantastic and accessible to all of the Vancouver downtown business, shopping and food and night life. Staff are accommodating while giving you space. The executive lounge is truly executive.

booked a junior sweet for a special get away to Vancouver. Initially we were assigned an accessable room which we didn't require and it was not very nice and had a terrible view of the roof. booked a junior sweet for a special get away to Vancouver. Initially we were assigned an accessable room which we didn't require and it was not very nice and had a terrible view of the roof. To me this room should not have been an upgraded room category. We got moved to a non-accessible room with no issue that was very large with great views over the art gallery. This was just as the hotel website advertised for this room and we were very satisfied. Great stay overall. Read less

My wife was 9 months pregnant and I was hoping for some thing better. After getting frustrated With the room, I called the manager and he apologized and upgraded us to the suite we wanted, and comped breakfast. The suite was ready 10 min later. I just don’t understand why the desk didn’t give us the room in the first place. The front desk has also had problems redeeming Accor points more than once. But management always picks up the slack, I keep wishing the front desk was more capable, it seems like they are all always new or just don’t know anything. We left super happy. Fairmont, along with Accor, is the best value. The Hotel Vancouver is awesome. Read less

Overall, my family enjoyed our 5 night stay in the "Castle in the City". All the staff were pleasant and good to deal with. As it is a shoulder season, we got a good deal and generally this is the cheapest of the three Fairmonts because it is an older building. The bed was good, the rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are renovated. The bathrooms… Read more

As it is a shoulder season, we got a good deal and generally this is the cheapest of the three Fairmonts because it is an older building. The bed was good, the rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are renovated. The bathrooms are a bit on the small side though. I did not like the thermostat either and we left it off when sleeping. Location is great because it is near public transport and with great options for dining and shopping. I much prefer this hotel than the Hyatt Regency across the street. Would stay in the Hotel Vancouver again. Read less

The breakfast and appies in the lounge were beautifully presented and delicious and the morning staff were kind enough to make us vanilla lattes. Our grandson joined us from UBC for a couple nights and the WiFi accommodated his lectures and assignments. All in all a great stay. Describing the Gold Floor as a hotel within the hotel fits perfectly. Read less
