Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

Image of the Tripadvisor rating A continuation of the Fairmont makeover - job well done by Accor

May 25, 2019 genew888 Calgary, Canada

I continued to choose the Fairmont for my stays as they progress through their makeover and the Vancouver was the best so far. Gold treatment was highlighted with exceptional individualized service and with the best bar and food menu in the gold lounge to date.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Fairmont Hotel. It provided great views and is located close to most Vancouver attractions. The staff was very helpful, courteous, and kind. The room was pleasant and well kept.

We very much enjoyed staying at the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel. Yes, we paid a little extra and stayed on the Gold Floor, with it’s dedicated lounge on the 9th - but this was our sanctuary with tea, coffee and snacks. Very nice. Check in is on the 9th if you take the Gold option. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The location… Read more

The location is ideal - close to Robson St. for shopping, close to Canada Place (10 min walk), and only a short taxi ride to Granville Island. Excellent service throughout, highly recommended. I’ve been here for larger weddings before and always excellent but this time, wow.  The ballroom was so beautifully decorated, so elegant.  The set menu they chose (we got the choose the main) was superb and everything came out hot.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Overpriced for what it offers

Very expensive for what it offers. Definitely not value for money. The A/C in my suite was very loud and couldn't sleep. If I turned it off, then it was freezing. I believe that with these prices they should prioritise customer experience instead of other useless stuff.
