Hands down, amazing experience. Lovely hotel, brilliant staff, musicians & decor set the scene for an all round enjoyable evening. Botanist was Devine & would most certainly visit again soon in the future.

A fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the design of the rooms. Breakfast at the Botanist was also very well done. AC is quiet and sheets are silky soft, leading to a superb night! Will most certainly consider staying there again. A few issues that the hotel may want to take into advisement: -Room AC set to 18 degrees celsius in the middle of October on a very wet, windy and cold weekend is not optimal for arriving guests. Similarly, while the bathroom is splendid, the lack of a towel / room heater or heated floors aside from the AC is a serious design flaw that somewhat decreases the pleasure of using the bathroom as the floor is stone cold. - Single-ply and rough toilet paper is just unbecoming of a hotel that charges around 500 CAD a night! - Friendliness of staff: doormen & botanist hostess very friendly - reception staff less so, especially for contacts after check-in. Seems to be a common issue with Fairmont, as I find this in many of their other hotels as well (Royal York, Empress, Hotel Vancouver, etc). -Wifi: to charge around 500 CAD pre-tax for an entry-level room without including wifi is just crazy! But that appears to be Fairmont policy....so register for All Accor in advance and make sure your number is on the booking! It took Took about three tries with three different staff to get the free wifi that one is promised as an All Accor silver member (although we got it in the end). Wifi then was fast and without issue. Read less

While one could feel the changes to the hotel due to Covid, and are certainly understandable and acceptable, understaffing and opening times for services were unacceptable. If this is to be a five star hotel, you MUST have 24/7 room service, especially for coffee in the morning. Waiting… Read more

Instead was provided a room on the 7th floor where everyone in the conference centre could see clearly into my bathroom which made the the tub unusable. Even after requesting a higher room upon arrival, had to wait an hour before being bumped up only 2 floors which was still visible from the conference centre. Very poor experience overall. Would not recommend. Read less
