We stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for a 30th anniversary weekend in a one-king harbour view suite. The room was beautiful with a balcony and great views of the seaplane docks and the harbour. Both bathrooms were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were great—not the usual compressible ball of feathers at high-end hotels that requires two pillows for comfort but is never quite right. The pillow was firm but not hard. We had dinner at the Botanist, and breakfast, and drinks and snacks both days at the lobby bar. All very good. The best breakfasts are on the room service menu. We ordered them the first day - my wife ordered the smoked salmon eggs benny and I ordered the truffled scrambled eggs. Here is the funny issue that arose from that order. The breakfast was promised within 30 minutes. That was great because we had a full day helicopter and city tour booked. Lots of time. At 45 minutes I called to check on the breakfast and was told that it had been delivered and set up on our table. I looked outside the door. No breakfast. I looked at the table. No breakfast. As I age my memory fades so I checked with my wife to ensure that I had been in fact sitting in the living room as I thought I had for the last 45 minutes. She assured me that I had. I relayed all of this to room service. They said they would check into it. They called back 5 minutes later. The breakfast had been delivered. It had been set up on the table. But not in our room. It went to the wrong room. That happens. But what I have never heard happening is that another guest allowed it to be set up. That guest signed for it. He answered to my name. The Fairmont policy when delivering food is to repeatedly use the guests name. And that guess enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The hotel handled it very well. We had our fresh breakfast in 15 minutes. It was piping hot and brought up personally by the manager. The hotel also took care of the charge. A very well handled problem that also game me a good review story. I was more impressed with the hotel and not less because of this. And bonded with the manager about a guest with the gumption to take a breakfast that was not their’s. Bonus advice — order the truffled scramble eggs. Lots of truffle on a delicious brioche. Excellent. We had a great stay on a milestone weekend. Highly recommend the hotel and the room. Read less

Our company of 7 people stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for 3 nights for our Team Building trip to Vancouver. This hotel is incredible - the views, the Botanist, the Lobby lounge, the location - it is all first class. However, the most impressive (though not surprising) aspect of this hotel is the attention to service and the absolute satisfaction of the guest. We had two small issues during our stay (hot water in shower and the view from one of the rooms) and the management went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and that we were 100% happy. Akash, the Assistant Front Desk GM deserves special credit for helping our experience from a 3/5 to a 5/5, simply by listening. If every business dedicated itself to client satisfaction like the Fairmont Pacific Rim, what a wonderful world it would be. Read less

Unacceptable for such a nice hotel not to allow streaming on the TV, they charge $25 for movies and $10/day for music. $500/night hotel room should allow streaming rather than trying to get more $$$ from customers.

The view is superb the service courteous the premise clean and the lobby fireplace hypnotic. The food is nourishing and healthy if you select well. Quiet and privacy add to the restful experience and the desire to prolong the stay or return soon.

Looking to do a quick little stay-cation to celebrate our 20th anny, and decided to try the Pacific Rim Fairmont. Originally lined up a nice room through our travel agent, but upon checking in, we ended up meeting the director of Guest Relations Younghye Kim, and when she found out we were celebrating our 20th, she took it upon herself to upgrade our room even more to a harbour suite! What an amazing room, highly recommend getting it if you really want to feel Pac Rims beauty & luxury...will definitely stay there again. In addition to a great room experience, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant The Botanist..at first we weren't sure what to expect based on the room decor, but to our delight, the food was incredible. We dine out quite a bit, and rarely have a perfect meal, but can easily say, our meals were perfect, and to make it even better, we had great service from our waitress Avatole. Thanks for the wonderful stay Fairmont, can't wait to come back again!! Read less
