We came for a trade show. It was a beautiful high floor room and it was the first time for us in the health club area, which was relaxing and nice but a bit outdated for a luxury hotel. We dined downstairs for breakfast. Great spot if you have to visit the convention centre and/or Canada Place but it's not a luxury vacation hotel like the Pac Rim. I almost would feel out of place being dressed up. It's a bit pricey for a bit dated hotel and dining/ drinks are very expensive. I didn't like the sensor type mini bar and snacks at all. Read less

I wanted to enjoy my experience at the Fairmont. I really did. The problems started out immediately at booking. Confusing rates on the website, misleading wording, pedantic customer service staff, and finally after a number of contacts with management, an upgrade to a water view room. Check in was a bit busy but was efficient. Cheers to the valet who was very helpful friendly. My room was….disappointing. Small. Dirty. Not what you expect at that price point. There was a weird motion sensor in my room that didn’t appear plugged into anything and served no purpose. There was dust and grime in places. The view was nice however, and I didnt have to wait for an elevator. The gym and pool area were nice. The outdoor heated pool wasn’t hit by any stretch but it helped. The indoor enclosed hot tub area is showing its age a bit and was a little grimy. The gym equipment worked fine, and there’s a good use of space. I probably won’t come back to Fairmont waterfront. There’s just way better options for that price point. Read less

Limited restaurant options.. ? Covid issues maybe. Very pricey. Check your bill on checkout.. TWICE! Tried to ding me an extra $80/ on wine we did not drink in room. Excuse being a sensor on the wine bottle. Maybe your own staff!! No checking with me first.. just slammed it on the ‘card’.. 3 hrs AFTER the original.. which was correct.
