The hotel

Ready to party in Downtown Vancouver? This is your ideal base to do so, not just for it’s location, but for the hotel itself too! The standard rooms here are pretty compact, but if you’re just looking for somewhere to rest your head after a night out then you won’t be disappointed. Of course, if you want that bit more space to relax, you can opt for a Superior Room or even a Junior Suite (which is perfect for a group of friends to share together!). Start your evening in the Living Room where you’ll be greeted by happy hour, hearty food options and live TV’s – there’s always a reason to end up here. And then when it’s time to up the vibe, head downstairs to the basement. A basement that you wish you had at home, here you can grab a drink, boogie on the dancefloor, or even roll a game of skeeball (that could be interesting after happy hour ey!). Whilst the hotel has everything ready for the perfect party, you’re also within touching distance of many other eclectic bars and restaurants – so no two nights need to be the same. The hotel staff have some great insider knowledge that you can tap into – whatever kind of place you’re looking for. Come day time, you’re just a stroll away from BC place where you can catch the BC Lions or Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Or take a wander through the famous Stanley Park to get some fresh air after your night on the town.

Room is so clean and comfortable. All the staff here are great and so helpful. The restaurant connected to the hotel is amazing, went there almost every night after work. Great atmosphere and staff. I highly recommend staying here. Very close to the nightlife here. Everything is close by.

Positive: Very frendly staff. Clean rooms although they were VERY small. Could not put my bag anywhere but the bed. Negative: Placed in the central off the drug quarters. Two times I smashed and walked into a drug addict just walking out off the doors. This is very heartbreaking to see. Maybee you should be told this at least. There is some… Read more

Two times I smashed and walked into a drug addict just walking out off the doors. This is very heartbreaking to see. Maybee you should be told this at least. There is some kind off unbeleavable sound in the hotel that starts every 10 minutes. Sounds like a Boeing going through the hotel, this is very hard to sleep with!!! The beds were shaking. Talking to the reception, they had never had a complaint before, I say read what people say there has been many complaints. We also change room 2 times, same everywhere. We didn´t sleep for 4 nights!!!! Read less

A wonderful hotel surrounded by restaurants, bars, entertainment choices sure to please. Nicely located within walking distance of mostly everything. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, a sound sleep is easy to find. Morning breakfast was enjoyable. Costs fair and reasonable.

Very cool hotel in a trendy / lively neighborhood. The stay was very memorable as met some fellow Belgians who also stayed here. Definitely will stay again next trip to Vancouver. Pros: - Very friendly staff, especially front-desk Priscilla; Living Room restaurant staff Faith, a tall guy with really suave hair, and the bartender from Saskatchewan; the French-speaking Basement club bartender and all the doormen. - The Smashburger was extremely tasty. The fries were of top quality (which is hard to find outside of Belgium). - Really nice shower in the room and great toiletries. - Walking distance to most major things in Vancouver. Neighborhood also has decent food & bar options. It is not boring like the Waterfront area. Cons: - Rooms are very compact. They are more European sized rather than North American sized. - Noise can be a problem. Had some party people on the floor who made too much noise, as well as using the very loud ice machine at 4 in the morning. Read less
