The hotel

Very Vancouver, this downtown delight brings the city’s signature cool styling, upscale-yet-casual lifestyle, and modern dining scene to your door. It might be stylish and spacious — and have free WiFi on tap — but you won’t want to spend much time in your guestroom — not when your feature-filled hotel has distractions like a gym, Life Luxe Spa, and al fresco sun deck with heated pool and hot tub. Giving you a true taste of British Columbia, Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s bars and restaurants feature fresh regional produce, sustainable seafood, local microbrews, home-grown wines, and artisanal cocktails, as well as the less-local Starbucks® for that pre- and post-sightseeing caffeine fix. The location’s very Vancouver too — eating out, shopping, and sightseeing are effortless with downtown favourite Robson Street just blocks away, and Stanley Park’s beaches, cycling, and totem poles a leisurely stroll.

I was here for three nights for a conference, and the hotel was lovely. The staff was excellent. They had my room ready well before checkin time since I was arriving early. The A/C worked very well and I was able to keep the room nice and cool the way I like it. The lunch served at the conference was from the hotel and it was very good for a… Read more

The Hyatt Regency downtown Vancouver was very convenient for the purpose of my visit (business) and the room was well appointed and had comfortable bedding. The office desk was very useful and connectivity for internet access was easy. I did not order any room service or eat breakfast at the hotel, but the coffee machine was adequate for my needs. As someone who appreciates good coffee in the morning, I preferred to venture out of the hotel to get my morning coffee, as the k-cups did not have free bottled water for use with their machine, and there was only coffeemate. I would have preferred a higher end coffee machine, but it was adequate. The water pressure in the shower was good, and overall I had a great stay at the Hyatt. Read less

The stay was good. The staff were friendly, but not as friendly as other places. The hotel was in good condition. Great location.

Normally like the hotel but the last few stays have been a slew of problems- from rooms smelling like smoke to ac that doesnt work. Getting to the point I don’t want to stay there and I’m a Globalist. The hotel looks good but the upkeep is definitely not up to par.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, tidy, modern. Close to everything (shops on Granville Street, Pacific Center, the Burrard skytrain station, restaurants, takeout - McDs, Tims, soon Starbucks), they accommodated my requests, they let us check in 2 hours before check-in time, and lovely breakfasts included with our stay. Can't say enough great… Read more
