The hotel

Very Vancouver, this downtown delight brings the city’s signature cool styling, upscale-yet-casual lifestyle, and modern dining scene to your door. It might be stylish and spacious — and have free WiFi on tap — but you won’t want to spend much time in your guestroom — not when your feature-filled hotel has distractions like a gym, Life Luxe Spa, and al fresco sun deck with heated pool and hot tub. Giving you a true taste of British Columbia, Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s bars and restaurants feature fresh regional produce, sustainable seafood, local microbrews, home-grown wines, and artisanal cocktails, as well as the less-local Starbucks® for that pre- and post-sightseeing caffeine fix. The location’s very Vancouver too — eating out, shopping, and sightseeing are effortless with downtown favourite Robson Street just blocks away, and Stanley Park’s beaches, cycling, and totem poles a leisurely stroll.

Great location for downtown, Stanley Park, etc. Close to Canada Place for cruise ships and float planes, bars and restaurants. Efficient staff. Nice dinner in the restaurant.

We spend 1 night end of June and 2 nights mid July. On both occasions we were not impressed at all by the outdated hotel. Check-in/-out and guest services were very good In June we had a room on a higher floor and facing the main street. Beds were comfortable, good shower and coffee machine. The windows of the room were not isolated and the street noice was very disturbing, certainly at noght when you heared the sirenses of ambulances and fire brigade. In July we had a room facing the back side and there we had no noice. The bed was complete overdue and I needed to put 2 pillows under me in order to be able to lay flat in the bed. I wanted to complain and ask for a new mattress. Unfortunately there was a strike of part of the hotel personnel and I decided to use the pillows 1 more night in order to get some sleep. I considered the price of the stay and the received quality a complee missmatch. Read less
