This hotel has a good location in downtown Vancouver. Close enough to things that you can walk... just be aware that downtown Vancouver has a lot of homeless and drug addicts. You will find that large parts of the downtown core will smell or urine and feces. The service was good and attentive. Due to COVID restrictions and protocols the included breakfast was not great. Edible, but nothing special. Basically just pre-made sandwiches, yogurt, coffee, tea, and some fruit. Read less

My review is based on experience from a bad heat wave in Vancouver, where within a day they sold out so there wasn't lots of time in fairness for them to prepare to be sold out.... but. My review is based on experience from a bad heat wave in Vancouver, where within a day they sold out so there wasn't lots of time in fairness for them to prepare to be sold out.... but. The hotel has an unusually late check in time of 4pm, most hotels are 3pm. When trying to escape the heat of the city the earlier the better and mine was ready pretty much right at 4pm, but some other customers rooms were note ready even by 4. As a Bonvoy Gold member, I was thanked for my loyalty, but given nothing extra, no upgrades or anything which was bit of a bummer. As part of being Bonvoy Gold, you get access to Enhanced High Speed Internet which I needed for work. Even with enhanced it was barely usable at times. I can't imagine what the non enhanced speed was. A couple positives... Netflix through the TV using your own Netflix account worked well. Also breakfast grab and go was better than expected. They had a full spread including egg and bacon muffins, yogurt, croissant, juice, coffee, etc.. Was good. Drawback were huge elevator waits to get and from 2nd floor where the food is. I paid for parking with in/out privileges. I went out and came back later and all parking spots inside were full. I went to lobby and asked what to do when u pay for parking and there isn't any. She said basically parking was an issue today and I could park outside in the 15 minute parking. Ended up fine, but not secured at all in a city with many break ins. Read less

So I guess that’s a good thing? She has stayed at many hotels since the age of 6 months. She says “I love this hotel. So I guess that’s a good thing? She has stayed at many hotels since the age of 6 months. She says “I love this hotel. It’s nice and big, 2 chairs for me, and 2 chairs over there with tall table (I think she meant island) On serious note we stayed here for 6 nights. The location was perfect for us. It’s on Hornby street (a one way street) bike lane outside the hotel. Hotel is about 10 minute walk from Yaletown roundhouse sky train station. I forgot if it’s walking to the station is uphill or vice versa. Didn’t take the sky train this trip, but wife and I have lived in yaletown years ago. Downtown Vancouver is very walkable. From this hotel, you can head south on Hornby and take the aqua bus to several locations. Walk to English Bay, Robson, and many other districts. I believe it was Cynthia who checked us in. Too bad that was the only time we saw her during our stay. She was wonderful. She explained every little detail to us, even gave both my girls surprise gifts! The underground parkade is behind the hotel. There’s clear signage, you can’t miss the entrance. Cynthia did explain to me how to enter the parkade. On a side note, I read reviews the spots are tight. It was a concern prior to my arrival as we drove our 8 passenger full size SUV. Anyways it’s not true, the spots are not tight. Had no issues parking my SUV. Parkade and pool is shared with Landis hotel. You do have to prebook pool time. I believe they allow max 8 guests at a time. The room itself was modern and clean. They even had a crib/playpen set up for my 1 year old! They do have a fridge, stove, and dishwasher. We didn’t cook, we only needed the fridge. We had a west facing room which had tons of sunlights. We did notice with the HVAC it was either too cold or too hot. But it’s not really a big deal. It was very hot the week we were there, but that’s not the norm for Vancouver. Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor. It was lovely. You can even eat outside. They do have coin operated laundry. It’s $2.50 for wash, $2.00 for the dryer. All the staffs we encounter were super friendly and approachable. The building is very secured. A keycard is require to enter the building and to access guest room floors. Also I like the fact one elevator takes you up and down to the parkade. Hand sanitizers were everywhere including the parkade. Really enjoyed our stay! Read less

Cynthia at the front desk was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The check in experience was excellent and parking was available. Our room was very clean. Our bathroom and kitchenette had quartz counter tops. We brought dinners from home and there were plenty of dishes for warming up food and serving. The continental breakfast was perfectly sufficient for a family on the go. We used the pool twice - bookings required. We were able to login to our Netflix account on the TV. Very comfortable beds. When we asked for extra towels, they were delivered to us within 5 minutes. The location is walking distance to many attractions downtown. We walked around the West End to Stanley Park and along the seawall in English Bay. COVID19 protocols were in place. Overall, this was the perfect hotel for our family. We enjoyed our stay very much.
