Comfy king bed. Good breakfast if you avoid busy times. Some elevators often out of service making changing floors around breakfast tricky. No separate elevator for cleaning staff. Front desk great. Cleaning staff very friendly and assigned to your small floor. Great location. Easy to get a cab. Reasonable cab rates. Great weather. … Read more

We had a spacious room at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown Vancouver and were very impressed to see in-room recycling facilities not just for glass, tins, etc., but also for food waste. We had a spacious room at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown Vancouver and were very impressed to see in-room recycling facilities not just for glass, tins, etc., but also for food waste. We were on the 16th floor and had a small balcony which we enjoyed sitting on to eat when the weather was nice. The room itself was L-shaped with a well-equipped kitchenette, dishwasher, good seating area and comfy bed. The bathroom was spacious. There were a few shops and eateries nearby and it was about 10 minutes walk to a supermarket where we bought items to cook for our meals. Breakfast was included but wasn't amazing and had suggested time limits on the tables. The food was ok but a bit disappointing that bacon wasn't available each day. Rather worrying was the white powder appearing out of the wall near the toaster. Read less

We stayed here for four nights in July. Here are some of the pros/cons: Pros: -Free breakfast - it's a decent breakfast. They have eggs everyday, usually some sort of a carb (potatoes, veggie hash, French toast), and a protein (throughout our four days, there was a different breakfast meat each day - Andouilles sausage, bacon, turkey sausage, and… Read more
We stayed here for four nights in July. Here are some of the pros/cons: Pros: -Free breakfast - it's a decent breakfast. They have eggs everyday, usually some sort of a carb (potatoes, veggie hash, French toast), and a protein (throughout our four days, there was a different breakfast meat each day - Andouilles sausage, bacon, turkey sausage, and pork sausage patties). There's also a waffle maker, and your typical breakfast staples like oatmeal, cereal, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and muffins -Kitchenette with a full-sized fridge. We didn't use anything but the fridge and sink but having the option to use the kitchen was nice. There's also a breakfast bar you can sit at -Spacious with lots of areas to put your luggage or lay out your stuff -Located a short walk to Robson and Davies Streets, where there are lots of restaurants/shops -I believe they have a paid parking lot but if you want to save money, you can get away with paid street parking. It's free after 10 PM and before 9 AM and it wasn't too hard to find a spot -You need to swipe your key card to get into the building after 10 PM, and also have to swipe at all hours for the elevator, which added a layer of security -Check-out is at 11 but we were able to ask for a late checkout at 12 Cons: -They only clean the rooms every other day so since we were staying for four nights, our room was only cleaned once -Showers have some mold in the corners -There was a hair on the bed when we checked in so I just picked it off and pretended that didn't happen -If you're looking to explore Gastown/Chinatown/further Downtown area, it's probably about a half an hour walk. There aren't any train stations nearby so you would need to opt for the bus, which between waiting and riding, can take just as long as walking -Ice machines are only on the 6th and 15th floor -The toiletries do not smell great - reminded me of dishwasher detergent -Bath towels are really small They also have an indoor pool but we didn't even bother going because it looked super old in the pictures. Overall, the stay was okay. It was the most well-priced (but still expensive) for Downtown for that time of the year. But not sure I'd stay here again if I ever visit Vancouver again. Read less

This hotel is in a great location for a stay in Vancouver. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have full kitchens--an advantage of choosing a Residence Inn by Marriott. We had easy access to Vancouver attractions. The Breka Bakery & Cafe, a wonderful eatery open 24/7, is right at the end of the block where the hotel is located. Most importantly, the front desk staff and manager were all friendly and helpful and very responsive to our needs. The lobby became somewhat crowded with cruise passengers, but such is life in Vancouver in June. Read less

What a wonderful stay!! We brought our 2 grandsons to Vancouver to experience the "big city". Wan at the front desk was so pleasant, efficient and helpful, all of which contributed to a fun successful trip. Kudos to this great guy. We had some difficulty as to where to park to check in, however, it worked out fine. The room with 2 Qn beds was great! So very clean, beds & pillows comfortable, lots of lighting options, kitchenette very well stocked. Enough hangers, a couple of chairs and 2 bar stools. It felt spacious. The only item i would have liked was a table on both sides of the beds. Not a deal breaker. The carpeted floors have been replaced with laminate flooring, which makes it feel clean. The elevators were quick. The location for us was wonderful. The A/C worked well and we found the room quiet without interference from other rooms or the street. The breakfast had several options. The staff worked very hard at keeping up with the demand for supplies. Would highly recommend this hotel Read less
