Very pleasant large room with kitchenette and full refrigerator. Good location. Excellent complimentary breakfast buffet, with variations each day. Many great restaurants in neighbourhood, and a short ferry ride to Granville Island Market.

The rooms were massive and had a fridge, microwave, kettle with coffee/tea and also a huge tv with Netflix etc which was all very useful. We got breakfast included which had cereal, bagels, toast and spreads, yoghurts, sausages, scrambled egg and some fruit like bananas and apples every day. There was also a coffee/tea station with takeaway cups where you could take away hot drinks. We made some hot chocolates and added whipped cream to them which was great to take away for a cold morning. We never used it but the hotel also had a pool and small gym available. Location wise it’s in a great place. There’s a 7/11 located just over the road for things like bottled water or some small snacks. We got off the sky train and walked 10 minutes to the hotel although it was slightly uphill which isn’t great with suitcases. It was also within walking distance of GasTown and the ferries which take you over to Granville Island. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and it was a great base to explore Vancouver. A very mixed experience. Front desk staff was unhelpful. Lobby is tiny. Seems to attract lots of families with children. Noisy construction next door. Nice large room (skyline view) but thin walls to next door rooms and from above (scrapping noise). Breakfast had some OK choices but scrambled eggs were not edible. 7/11 across the street has… Read more

Unfortunately I just didn’t feel appreciated nor did I feel valued. It was kind of a hassle to get everything set for my trip and I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday. No one cared.. said anything.. I couldn’t even get a late checkout. Maybe I’ll be treated better at another Marriott in Vancouver.

We were, not to put too fine a point on it, desperate. Late evening and our booked accommodation turned out to be a scam! Residence Inn was across the street and the incredibly helpful staff on reception found a room for us for the night. A large and comfortable room with two queen beds, a kitchenette, and an ensuite suited the needs of three tired, adult travellers. So much so that the next day we extended our stay for eight further nights. The original receptionist told me that others had been caught in the same scam and advised me to go to the police. Breakfast is included for all guests and the menu varies each morning through a cycle. The food was as good as any other similar establishment. Housekeeping was available every other day. The hotel is good for seeing all of the sites and the reception staff were most helpful in arranging visits and suggestions of where to go. We would stay there again. Read less
