Recently stayed over a 4 week period for business. Great location to base from while respecting self-quarantine rules and maintaining proper social distancing. Hotel staff has excellent procedures in place for dealing with Covid pandemic conditions. Room was welcoming, clean and fully satisfactory for a longer stay. The kitchen and balcony are a big plus! General Manager Susan Fregona and her great team including John-Paul Yu are a pleasure to deal with, as well as being flexible and accommodating during the current situation. I highly recommend this destination for future stays! Read less

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The room : our King suite was spacious. Very comfortable mattress (we wanted to take it home with us). Nice sized kitchenette which even had a dish washer! Everything was very clean. Breakfast : we visited during the pandemic, so normal breakfast was a no-go for them. However, their grab… Read more

Nice sized kitchenette which even had a dish washer! Everything was very clean. Breakfast : we visited during the pandemic, so normal breakfast was a no-go for them. However, their grab and go breakfast was better than most hotel's regular breakfasts. Large selection of goods - felt like I was shopping at a mini market (they even had bags!) Location : about an 8 minute walk from the closest Skytrain station, so we didn't even need to rent a car. Super convenient! Everyone was really nice to me at the hotel - even the guy who had to check us in at midnight. Will stay here again the next time we are in town. Read less

I stayed 3 nights over a weekend in December. I live in Vancouver and after months of limited travel around town (and an awful lot of time at home) I took the plunge and booked a stay downtown (somewhere I haven't spent much time for ages). There are several Marriott properties in Vancouver and even though I'm a Platinum member staying at the bigger properties didn't seem to make much sense as the amenities I would use aren't currently available (specifically club lounges). My feeling is that the hotel was making all reasonable efforts to maintain a clean, safe environment for guests. I was given a 20th floor room with a west facing view over the West End toward the mountains. Over 3 days going back and forth I always had the elevator to myself. It's not possible to enter the hotel or guest floors without a room key. The area is safe but Vancouver has a severe homelessness problem and it's evident around the hotel. In terms of location, the hotel is just off Davie Street and Davie Village. The restaurant options in the area seem almost infinite. There are also a number of large grocery stores within a few blocks. There is a 24hr. bakery/coffee shop a half block away. The walk into downtown, Pacific Centre Mall, etc. is 10 or 15 mins. The West End/Downtown of Vancouver is a peninsula, it's virtually surrounded by water, False Creek, English Bay (essentially the Pacific Ocean) and Burrard Inlet. The walk from the hotel to English Bay or False Creek is probably about 10 minutes. I don't know how long the walk would be but it's entirely possible to walk from the hotel and around Stanley Park to Burrard Inlet without ever losing site of the water view. During my stay I did not take advantage of the Grab and Go breakfast preferring to shop for my own breakfast supplies. As with all RI properties the kitchenette is fully equipped. My interaction with staff was limited but always pleasant. There is a swimming pool on site that can be accessed by appointment. This hotel proved to be the right choice for my brief staycation. I chose this property for a 14-day stay because of the above average room size, with kitchenette, and I don't regret it one bit. I found the bed very comfortable, with enough space in the 450sqft "mini-apartment" to move around, spread out, and conduct in-room fitness with ease. I found the bed very comfortable, with enough space in the 450sqft "mini-apartment" to move around, spread out, and conduct in-room fitness with ease. The team was incredibly friendly with me and were most kind on the phone when I had to ask for many many things to be brought up to my room, as I couldn't step outside the door for the duration of my stay. Having already stayed here about 4 years ago prior the renovation, I appreciated the modernisation of the room's features, with a not-too-dark colour scheme which was easy on the eyes. The TV permits an HDMI plug-in of your own device, something one might find important for an extended stay. The balcony was also an excellent important feature which I made use of daily, to get my dose of oh so cool and fresh Vancouver air. Whether I was to need a 14-day stay, or a slightly shorter visit, the Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Vancouver would be my choice in the city. Read less

Room was very clean. Location was good. Not much view from the room although we were at the top floor. Just a city view. Only thing that we wish we had in our room was a bath tub. There was just a standing shower stall. It was minor point for us. Next day, we stayed at Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel by the convention centre, but we recommend this hotel for over all cost performance. Again, thank you, Mike, you made our day great!!
