Westin Bayshore Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

This glamourous bay-side residence sits on a curve of Vancouver Harbour facing stunning Stanley Park — giving you incredible views and incredible access to this urban utopia. You can explore the park like locals with The Westin Bayshore’s complimentary bikes (if you’re not tempted off-track by cycling expeditions like their tantalisingly titled ‘Craft Beer Tour’). This being a Westin hotel, they’ve included other sporty freebies like RunWESTIN jogging routes, YogaWESTIN sessions, and a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio. If sport isn’t your game, there’s always spa treatments, a soak in the chic circular pool (perfectly positioned by the harbour’s boardwalk, and your room’s ‘Heavenly’ bed and bath. And, after the sightseeing, the sports, or the simple relaxation, you can take your seat in the H2 Rotisserie and Bar to enjoy seasonal cuisine and views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore Mountains.

The tower rooms are newly renovated with contemporary furniture and a fresh palette of colours , the heavenly bed with a fresh white duvet and a large flat screen tv. The floor to ceiling windows give way to a minuscule balcony affording a beautiful view of the skyline or the waterfront. We were initially a bit disappointed with some minor details here. However, I noted after we arrived that this is only a 4 star hotel. Other Westin I’ve stayed at are better presented. We were initially a bit disappointed with some minor details here. However, I noted after we arrived that this is only a 4 star hotel. Other Westin I’ve stayed at are better presented. The room lacked a kettle, china coffee cups, soap, mini bar contents and bath robes , although these were supplied upon request. There is no double glazing on the windows so the seaplanes and dock can get a bit noisy during the day. Quiet at night tho. The decor looks a bit tired and I noted refurbishment of rooms in the tower under way. On the upside, location and views are excellent, staff were mostly very good and bars and restaurants were good. The outdoor igloos at the bar were novel and fun to have a pre-dinner drink in. Read less

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Westin Bayshore. We had a North facing Tower room on the 17th floor. View was absolutely beautiful. The Tower is undergoing renewal. Our room was tastefully decorated new carpets and wall paper. Very nice. Some painting to finish in the hallway. I wish the room would have had a second sofa chair. We had to use… Read more
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Westin Bayshore. We had a North facing Tower room on the 17th floor. View was absolutely beautiful. The Tower is undergoing renewal. Our room was tastefully decorated new carpets and wall paper. Very nice. Some painting to finish in the hallway. I wish the room would have had a second sofa chair. We had to use the office chair so both of us could sit and look out at the view. Bathroom has shower only. Front desk told us only rooms with two beds have tub and shower. So if you need a tub you get two beds. King bed we had was narrower than the king we have at home but very comfy. Parking in the area is expensive. Best part was using the free bikes they provide and riding the sea wall around Stanley Park. Hotel also has a nice exercise room indoor pool and hot tub. Staff were great helping us with our stay. Very good location for scenery, walks, including through Stanley Park, and many good restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Staff members are accommodating and helpful. Excellent morning breakfasts, including many healthy options, on the ground floor.
