There is a nice feeling about the name of this incredible gem, Bayshore. Set in an amazing location with shimmering waters and snowcapped peaks redolent with the ease of distance to alpine skiing. We flew in to stay overnight and the next day trippin in Vancouver. The nightfall vista from our limousine windows was amazing, as we skirted the bays of the city. Lit uo in Xmas lights, Vancouver was a delight to behold. Its a short hop from airport to hotel. The hotel interior is warm with tones of butter and beige accented by very comfy arm chairs. Reception bubbles with enthusiasm and genuine welcome. Check-in takes 2.5 minutes and our lift ascends to the top floor to unveil pristine lodgings. Our digs are cleverly decorated with accent lighting and modern accoutrements. The Coffee machine awaits the morning pods. Take note, there is no impost charge for pods, a first in many hotel experiences where there is a slug on your comfort needs.. Curtains drawn, a magical twinkling view emerges of the harbour and distant shores. Retiring rapidly, we experienced the most blissful sleep on mattresses that smoothed out the kinks of flying from Australia. Best rest in my experience to date. Upon opening the blinds, there was a Vancouver welcome.., a massive seagull, looking at us perched on our windowsill. Bonuses become this fabulous hotel. We lingered in bed with breakfast savouring the bespoken freshness and cosy feeling. The bathroom is a designers dream. Sleek, modern and just perfect shower. towels are fluffy with that right roughness. This is an experience I will repeat in my next return to this town. Read less

I got upgraded to an enormous room with a view of Vancouver. Laarni Flores at reception was amazing. She helped me with any request I had and was unbelievably polite. When you check in, talk with her! This hotel is right at the start to Stanley Park and I definitely recommend going for a run.

Nice place. Was treated nice by staff and they were helpful. Not to snotty, even though we didn’t have designer clothes on. Stayed here years ago and the pool area was different. Good walking distances to major areas. Far enough away from “Blood Alley”. It’s right by Stanley park, With awesome views. Had a good time. Would stay again. Keenan Read less

Loved my stay here, 3 nights on business and I found myself hiking in Stanley park everyday. So close to the park with awesome views. Large building with a decent restaurant but your so close the city centre and lots of great food options. I skipped the concierge and just ask the valet where to eat close and cheap! Great idea! I have such mixed feelings about this hotel. On the one hand, I loved the location. Right on the edge of Stanley Park, walk out your door & you can walk along the harbor or take a bike ride & it's an easy stroll to Robson & Denmark streets with some cool eateries (MoMo Sushi) as well as a Whole Foods. But, on more than 1 occasion the service was poor. Upon check-in the host noted that I "booked through a 3rd party" & thus, giving us a mediocre room. We were on the 2nd floor in the tired/old part of the hotel with a view of the roof & the side of another building-- I guess it didn't matter that I've been a very long-time, loyal SPG member. Then, one night my son was hungry so I asked the luggage person for a suggestion where we could grab a bite nearby & he barked at us saying "McDonald's is around the corner". Really?! For starters, we don't eat that garbage but would it have been too much to give us a few local suggestions? We enjoyed their indoor pool & we loved that you could borrow a bike from the hotel for 2 hours. I had a cruiser & my child had a kid's bike. Note that the hotel charges you $45/night for valet but there are parking garages just feet away that only charge you $24/night. I typically love Westins & tend to choose this brand frequently when traveling, but this one fell short with a tired, old room, sad view & unacceptable service. Read less
