Westin Bayshore Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

This glamourous bay-side residence sits on a curve of Vancouver Harbour facing stunning Stanley Park — giving you incredible views and incredible access to this urban utopia. You can explore the park like locals with The Westin Bayshore’s complimentary bikes (if you’re not tempted off-track by cycling expeditions like their tantalisingly titled ‘Craft Beer Tour’). This being a Westin hotel, they’ve included other sporty freebies like RunWESTIN jogging routes, YogaWESTIN sessions, and a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio. If sport isn’t your game, there’s always spa treatments, a soak in the chic circular pool (perfectly positioned by the harbour’s boardwalk, and your room’s ‘Heavenly’ bed and bath. And, after the sightseeing, the sports, or the simple relaxation, you can take your seat in the H2 Rotisserie and Bar to enjoy seasonal cuisine and views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore Mountains.

The restaurant was pretty pricey so we ate somewhere else but overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Westin. Read less

Yeah I know there’s a strike going on- they should probably advertise that so people aren’t booking blindly. No housekeeping services, no room service, limited access to the restaurant - and believe it or not they still had the audacity to charge $30.00 for a breakfast buffet & $41.00 per day for parking - you would think with all the … Read more
Yeah I know there’s a strike going on- they should probably advertise that so people aren’t booking blindly. No housekeeping services, no room service, limited access to the restaurant - and believe it or not they still had the audacity to charge $30.00 for a breakfast buffet & $41.00 per day for parking - you would think with all the inconveniences they would at least give you a break in costs somewhere. Strikers - are you sure you really want to work there? Extremely poor representation of the Westin Brand. No discounts ever offered or discussed. When we requested one this was the response we received: “Thank you for reaching out regarding your upcoming stay. Unfortunately we are not able to honor discounts for your upcoming arrival. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. Karen” Bull! I work in the Hospitality Industry and there is no such thing as “not able to honor discounts” that’s a cheap cop-out Do not stay here- you would be better off staying at a Hostel. Severely Disappointed with the Greed expressed by this Hotel Chain. Read less

We visited the Westin Bayshore during the strike situation that has been affecting this amazing hotel in Vancouver!! It is not our first time here, we love this hotel because of its location, the views , the amenities but most important for their wonderful staff, always going the extra mile to make their guests experience the best stay that Vancouver has to offer!! This year my husband and I came back like every October to celebrate our wedding Anniversary and despite the strike, we had a marvelous time!! Yes, they are short on staff, but the employees working did their best to made us feel like royals!! We were greeted by Ayako at the front desk, who was awesome, incredibly professional and upgraded us to a suite with stunning views of the harbor!! Even with the lot of guests checking in, Ayako managed to always have an answer for all our questions and offered us her best smile!! And when we got to our room we found a nice tray of fruits and cheese, courtesy of the hotel staff, along with a nice card congratulating us for our Anniversary. Even with the strike situation, they though of everything and made us very happy!! Thanks, Westin Bayshore, to his management and to all their staff for always offer an incomparable service!! This is what makes a difference, this is what makes guests to return to The Westin Bayshore and this is what will always make us want come back too!!! Rain, shine or strike, this hotel will always be the best in Vancouver!!! Read less

Had we known how much there was to enjoy in Vancouver we would have arrived more than a day before our cruise. We were very happy with this hotel. Great location. We were right on the harbor. Could easily walk to Canada Place and area attractions and restaurants. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

The room was pretty clean with fresh towels and the hotel staff was very hospitable. Overall it was a great stay despite the situation. I did not encounter extreme noise as I had a harbour view room. You can't beat the location of the hotel and it is very walkable to a lot of places. Read less
