We stayed here for a couple of nights in the summer - I would agree on the comment on air conditioning as we had one good fan and the other could have been better. The kitchenette in the suite was great but the smoke alarm was not in a great position so we did set it off a couple of times - I was surprised this didn’t trigger a response from the front desk. Some of the bedding we had for the sofa bed had to be replaced as it had holes in which meant it hadn’t been checked for a while. Pool area is smallish and the sun loungers are not very comfy. Location is good and there is a shuttle down to the village. Read less

We are a family of 5 travelling with a small dog. The room setup is great, 2 bedrooms with a king bed in one and 2 single beds in the other, 2 bathrooms, a good kitchen/living space and a small little patio. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary plates utensils etc. We are in a pet friendly room but there are no bad smells and the carpet doesn’t feel gross. The pool area is very fun for kids and has 2 hot tubs, the one furthest from the pool is adults only. The hotel also has a fun little games room and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. This is an awesome hotel about a 5 minute walk (down the mountain, wear appropriate shoes as the path down is loose dirt/gravel) from the upper village BUT it is SO HOT inside the hotel/rooms and there is no air conditioning. We are here on the coldest days of summer yet (15 degrees Celsius and raining) and it feels like 30 degrees in our room. All the windows are open with fans in every room but it still feels like we are in a dry sauna. If you are staying in the winter this place would be amazing for ski in/out and the lack of a/c would be no issue. Parking is 25 dollars a night and pets are 29 dollars a night. Stock up on groceries before you drive up as there is no restaurant or store up here and walking up the hill with groceries is a grind. Read less

Down at the pool it is nice arranged but to little space and to little sun beds for such a large hotel. After 14 days in Canada we wanted to do a laundry. If you are from abroad you first have to buy a card at 5 $ (which you are not returned), then you have to pay for the laundry (that is naturally fine) an last you have to.pay for laundry soap (that is naturally fine). Over all a nice stay but there is space for improvement. Read less

This was a convenient stay in a cozy suite with a kitchenette but it’s helpful to know a few things: - true ski in ski out with a ski concierge (you keep your boots and poles though) - the lodge is quite a ways up the hill from the Village (one of the farthest) but a shuttle runs back and forth regularly throughout the day and evening. A must-have service that lets you stay easily connected to Whistler. - there is ZERO on site in terms of food, bevies, entertainment. Just water & coffee in the lobby and vending machines. Next time we stay, first stop will be the village grocery store. - it follows from the point above that there’s no apres ski unless you stock up ahead of time and create it yourself. However, you can ski down the hill a short distance past the lodge and tada, you’re at the upper village (by the Fairmont). This is also where you get on the chairlift each time you ski out. If you do apres ski this way, the real challenge is getting back. You’re stuck with all your gear and the only way back to the lodge is by foot (long walk uphill in boots carrying your skiis - not feasible) or by walking to a shuttle stop and catching the next ride. - they do have a small retail space in the ski shop for basic things like toques or gloves. - they set up self serve hot chocolate at the ski in ski out point but it was always lukewarm. We got a good deal here through Booking.com so my review is high based on value. If we’d paid much more I’d have a very different opinion as this is not high end or in a prime location. Would definitely stay again if the price was right. I do think guests would benefit from having a few food & drink options for purchase. Read less
