Found that that the tv only broadcast NBC sports which didn’t bother us really, we don’t watch tv on holiday. Breakfast was served across the car park in their bar. First breakfast morning was chaotic, no tea cold egg and bacon. 2nd morning Luke warm water wouldn’t brew the now present teabags, cold bacon and eggs were joined by cold baked beans! 3rd morning hot water but hot food still cold and that was breakfast for rest of the stay. If you want a quiet holiday sitting by the pool cos it hasn’t got one it’s not for you. During the regatta season I expect it is very very noisy and busy with all the yatchees. Lots nice restaurants nearby. Beach is 10min walk away. Staff were friendly Read less

We arrived on New years eve and stayed for 10 nights. The hotel itself is dated, but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed room only. There is a fridge in the room filled with chargeable minibar items. We took our travel kettle to make coffee in our room each morning, although in the courtyard there is coffee available free of charge. Our room was looking directly over the marina. Yes, it was noisy some nights, but it didn't bother us. We both slept well. We really enjoyed new years eve. We walked round to Nelsons Dockyard, which was the place to be. It's only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There was entertainment in all of the bars and a disco at the copper and lumber store restaurant, along with fireworks at midnight. It was free to get in, and a brilliant night. Everyone was just so friendly. We used the local restaurants. There was plenty of choice and we were paying roughly £20 each morning for 2 breakfasts with coffee, and £50 for 2 main courses on an evening with 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine. We went to Pigeon beach most days. The hotel do a courtesy mini bus to the beach, but we chose to do the very steep walk there and back. We spent most days in Catherine's bar, enjoying the use of the sun loungers whilst having a few drinks. It's definitely more expensive for drinks there, but it's a nice, comfortable place to be. It was costing us nearly twice as much for a round of drinks compared to the other bar on Pigeon beach, but for us the comfort and ambience of the place, it was worth the extra. To sum it up, for the price we paid (£2350), for premium economy flights with British Airways from the UK, and 10 nights hotel stay, we definitely felt we had value for money, and yes, we would return if we wanted to do Antigua again. The outlook from the Club Sushi and Steakhouse on the first floor is what attracted us first. Dropping in for a couple of crisp cold beers on a warm afternoon after arriving by boat. The local 268 honey lager was excellent. And Jack the barman/host/all rounder couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We decided to come back the next night for… Read more

The sushi and sashimi were world class. We managed to over order as the serves were very generous. Reasonable wine list and price. Read less

I stayed here as I needed a two night stay in the Falmouth area as part of a wider Caribbean trip. I arrived in my hire car and found a space in the large car park that is part of the wider area. (the hotel itself does not have parking). Quick check in and access to my room. I had expected something a bit more luxurious. Its a basic room, large bed which was OK but not that comfortable, larger wardrobe with a huge minibar fridge (it leaked water), table and seat, outdoor balcony with a seat overlooking the harbour (fantastic views of everything going on). Air con and free working wifi and lots of power points. The bathroom was awful. Very dated, broken shower door and screen that had been part mended with perspex rather than glad and it didn't' fit causing the shower to leak. Whole room and bathroom was clean, however needs redecorating. Outside of the room in the public area is free tea and coffee 24/7 with a kettle and coffee pot. You can use the fitness centre over the road free of charge. Otherwise that is it. No breakfast or bar/restaurant, no pool. You leave the property for everything you need to do. The location is great overlooking the harbour with loads of options for eating and drinking nearby. During the time I was there (mid December) it was very busy due to the recent boat show and the bars and music went on late into the night. So think carefully if you want to avoid noise. Overall it was great for location but just below par as a hotel experience. Read less
