Having never been to Antigua I didn’t know what to expect. On arrival I was great with cheery hello and made to feel very welcome. I was shown to my room which overlooked the marina. It was just stunning from the moment I opened my balcony doors. The view at night is like loads of Xmas trees lite up. I was room only so I asked if I could have a kettle and cup. These arrived very quickly and meant I could have my morning cuppa!!! With such a lovely view I spend many a night just sat on my balcony admiring the view and listening to music from the bars. It was never so loud that it was off putting but just night sounds mixed with the chatter of people below. The staff couldn’t of been more helpful. If I asked for a reservation to be made at a restaurant it was done in seconds!! The room was airy huge bed and a fridge that kept things lovely and chilled. Restaurants all within easy walking distance and for a lone female traveller I felt very safe even at night. Room kept lovely and clean fresh towels every day. Would I stay here again??? In a heart beat. In fact I’ve booked again for next March!!!! And I’ve not even left yet. Thank you Antigua yacht club Marina I will miss seeing your happy smiling faces every morning. Until next year xxx Read less

Good location for the harbour and Nelsons Dockyard and about 10 mins walk to Pigeon Beach. The room was basic and a bit hit and miss whether it got serviced. Main issue was the noise at night from the Yacht Club Building across the road, especially Friday and Saturday nights. We were able to take part in the quiz from our balcony. We were expecting more facilities for a self catering apartment. We had 2 hotplates, one of which didn't have a knob and had to be switched on with the circuit breaker in the consumer unit and a kettle which had a plug which didn't fit the socket, apparently there should have been an adapter which reception supplied when we queried it. The local supermarket provided breakfast ingredients and we decided to eat out in the local cafes and bars, which in general were very good, especially the Yacht Club and Cloggies. The staff in general were friendly, helpful and laid back. Read less

We stayed here for 2 weeks in February and found the hotel very nice for a 3 star hotel, the staff were great and times when the toilet broke and we had trouble with the tv they were quick to come and fix them and I thought they had a kettle in the room which they didn't so I asked and they brought us one up, we were in room 10 and they didn't… Read more

I was very disappointed. To start off the room which was called a suite had no coffee maker and was dirty. If I’m paying for a suite it should be up to standards of a suite which it did not. I was very disappointed. To start off the room which was called a suite had no coffee maker and was dirty. If I’m paying for a suite it should be up to standards of a suite which it did not. The location is great and the grounds are very nice but very hilly so expect to walk up a big hill to your room and don’t expect to sleep. There are dogs chained to a fence right behind the hotel, not sure if it’s a private home or what but they bark all night and music plays just about every night sometimes till 3 am in the morning. Don’t expect to complain because they could care less. The next day we were moved to another room which was a little better. The shower fills with water and the sink water goes all over the counter. Also the furniture is very limited and the pillows and bed are not comfortable and If your expecting a Marriot Hotel feel you might want to look else where. The restaurants in the area are very good and there is a great pizza place near the hotel. Read less

LOCATION: Very convenient and right across from the yacht club restaurants and on the 'main drag' of Falmouth Harbour. Pigeon Point beach is a 10min walk - hotel does NOT have a beach shuttle as they have advertised. Pigeon Point beach is really lovely, but note that it doesn't have a lot of amenities: no loungers for rent and only a couple of very expensive restaurants but it has lots of natural shade, nice sand, and good swimming. The walk isn't bad, but it is a bit of pain if you are bringing snorkel and picnic gear. Just beyond Pigeon is Wayward - great for snorkelling. You can walk to Galleon - but it is a 40min hike. You can walk to Nelson's Dockyard; about 10min by road or about an hour if you walk to Pigeon Point and then take the 1mile hiking path (wear shoes, not flipflops) - you get some lovely views and lots of fit folks use this path for running. NOTE: you cannot drink the water at the hotel; none is for sale on the property and the grocery store across the street has unpredictable hours - they often open late and close early - so be sure to stock up with more than you think you need. Also walking distance to dive shops; HIGHLY recommend DiveCarib. ROOM is incredibly basic. NO coffee maker. Rusty fridge. Sad, broken down hairdryer. Large balcony but with only two chairs - not even a table. Small TV. No drawers for clothes but hangers in closet. Loud AC. No fan. Two water glasses and a bottle opener. Shampoo, soap and moisturizer but not conditioner. AMENITIES and STAFF: When we checked in, we overheard complaints about noise and a safe that didn't work. Staff didn't seem able to resolve issues. Our safe also didn't work; we could have made arrangements to meet with maintenance staff - but why should we have to spend vacation time doing this? Room is loud - noise from street and from lobby. Staff unable to give directions (we asked for hiking trail to Shirley Heights and they directed us to Nelson's Dockyard). Manager is extremely competent and responsive, so if you need something, catch her in the morning. Gym is across the street and looks great in pictures but is actually filthy (it's open air) and equipment is pretty run down. Bring your own water and towel. No wifi. No floor mats and few low-weight dumbbells. Ok for heavy weight training but not much else. COVID tests - if you are Cdn or otherwise need a PCR test when leaving, be sure to book ASAP with the hotel. Trust me: you do NOT want to go to the hospital (we were there for a non-covid emergency and were shocked by how poor the facilities were and how understaffed it was. Horrible experience). The hotel can handle the Covid test booking much more efficiently than you can do on your own. Note: test is 200 and to have it done at the hotel is another 50 - but would cost you more in cab fare to go to the hospital and, again, TRUST ME, you do NOT want to go to that hospital! Read less
