Some still need work on efficiency and consistency, but hopefully that comes with time ! ;) Nice beach, not great scenery - but kept immaculate by the team. Great gym. Huge area for improvement I would say is ‘ambiance’. While the lighthouse restaurant served great food (especially the 7 course menu on Weds) - it needs some serious personality! Sleepy background music and dark green walls literally had us asleep at 9pm each night! You can still be sophisticated but bring a little vibe... a live singer for example? Irina’s resto isn’t really suitable for dinner, although offered. Menu there needs some work. It’s a breakfast / lunch place - but again lacks personality. The staff are trying their best to bring the fun. Hoping all these things are just growing pains. There’s real potential here .. just a little early maybe? Read less

Fabulous week at Hammock Cove, Antigua. If you are looking for beautiful ocean views, great service, food and wine, you will not be disappointed. If you want nightlife, this resort is not for you. Upscale, well prepared meals all inclusive including excellent house wines and high-end alcohol served with a friendly smile. Make reservations at the Lighthouse and do NOT miss Wednesday night. Trust the very capable Sylvia, the sommelier from Italy. You do not have to leave the property except to take the company owned Calypso Cat water island tour that picks you up at the resort dock. We will definitely come back. Read less

I was researching 5-star resorts to visit in the Caribbean for my fiancé’s birthday and happened across advertisements for this place. The descriptions seemed luxurious and the adult only, all-inclusive details persuaded me. I booked a water-view villa with a view of the bay. (FYI on all booking sites, patio photos come from outdoor living spaces of their first tier rooms which are the only ones with the Instagram worthy views.) I posted what our $5100 room for 5 nights really looked like with zero privacy and a path where people were walking by all hours. Contrary to the website, there is no iPod docking station in the suites. There are no speakers for music period. This is the most quiet resort I’ve ever vacationed at with only a portable speaker playing in the lobby bar. The pool and beach has Zero music or activity which some people might enjoy but we found it boring. This remote resort is literally at the edge of the island (very windy all the time) and at least $50 USD or more taxi ride to anywhere on the island. And the ocean is rough as it is on the Atlantic side not Caribbean so most days they don’t put out any water toys. During our stay, the resort was filled with a list of journalists/bloggers plugging the property which is one way to generate a lot of buzz about a new place. If we would have had a trip sponsored by the resort, I could go on about the oversized bathroom and fancy sheets as well as to-die-for ocean views. However, I paid for our stay. And it was expensive. And it was not 5-star standard (if you are accustomed to actual 5-star properties). The staff and ambassadors were all very nice, friendly, helpful, and polite. The food was decent. To say it’s a Michelin-Star concept is overly exaggerated. There are 2 places to eat (one for lunch with salads, pasta, pizza and sandwiches) and the nightly dinner restaurant with fixed entrees and nightly selections. And of course room service. They can modify some options for dietary concerns. If you like books and reading is your idea of a Caribbean vacation then this resort will do. There are no public TVs at the bars or common areas besides in a secluded game room. People were commenting about that as well as the lack of entertainment. I understand this resort is only a month old but the owner has many resorts so this isn’t his first venture. A complimentary shuttle to the other Elite properties might be a solution for the boredom at this resort - provided his other places have any sort of activities. We did attend the “Rum and Rhythm” event which consisted of us and a lonely bartender playing a record player. And lastly, they did nothing for my fiancé’s birthday. We always travel to celebrate our birthdays and have never had this happen before. My fiancé said he didn’t care but to me it was a big disappointment. I would say the Positives are it’s a small resort where almost everyone who works there knows your name and is courteous. They do try to accommodate for food allergies such as gluten-free. Everything is new and clean with a pleasing modern decor and Caribbean flair. Native Tree frogs are cute and will sing you to sleep. Read less

The pride they have and love of what they’re doing is evident everyday. Checking in and out with Alex was seamless and easy. Next we met Maxwell and Sheldon (Ambassador’s extraordinaire) who made sure our every need and want were taken care of. These two are truly exceptional, they anticipated what we would need and made sure we had it before we could even ask, amazing! They even offered to take time out of their day off to help us if needed! I can’t say enough about these guys! Patrice, our house keeper, was very good and quite personable, a lot of fun to be around! We quickly became friends with David and Erick (fantastic bar tenders) who love what they do and are great to be around even giving us a free dance lesson! The food is amazing, breakfast lunch and dinner. The spa is beautiful with a pool and waterfall outside, very relaxing. Every villa has its own sunken pool and wet bar! The WiFi is very good, room service is exceptional and the tv in the room offers enough to keep you satisfied. It’s a very quiet resort, adults only, offering plenty of peace and quiet allowing you to relax and enjoy your time there. I HIGHLY recommend this resort! Read less

My husband and I honeymooned at the beautiful Hammock Cove, fully expecting there to be some kinks in such a new resort. It wasn’t perfect, (we had some minor room issues) and there are some inconsistencies with service given that the team is so new. Any issue was handled with genuine care by the wonderful staff. Our ambassadors were lovely, (Pabs and Leon) and Ivanna, Bobby and Darrin from the Lighthouse restaurant went the extra mile each night to make our stay memorable. Once the resort has been opened a bit longer it will be beyond a five star. It’s a quiet, intimate place - just over 40 villas, no loud pool music, excessive buffets or scrambling for beach chairs. Menus are a la carte (breakfast too) and don’t change except at the Lighthouse, which is a fantastic dinner restaurant requiring a reservation. A little extra I loved - each room has its own library - an assortment of new best sellers and books guests left behind. What a lovely touch when your airport bought beach read isn’t cutting it! Bathrooms were huge and luxurious, but there was no ventilation (fans) or magnifying mirrors which was a minor inconvenience. We can’t wait to come back! Read less
