We needed a place to simply relax and do/think about nothing. Hawksbill was exactly the right place. Though there's a lot that you can do watersports, excursions, nightlife, it is easy to simply relax and recharge.

We had the best time. Great service, one of the best (and brand new) infinity pools, stunning beaches and overall peaceful welcoming atmosphere.

The first thing that need to be mentioned is the staff. We have stayed in many hotels world wide and never have we been treated so well by the friendly staff and management at this Hotel. Special mention to Mario, part of the senior management team, Dellarie on the beach and at dinner, Agatha second beach dinner, Debbie at reception, Errol best barman, and Brad looked after us on the beach. The Hotel itself was allowed to deteriorate by the previous owners and some areas are in need of renovation such as walkways and bathrooms. However the new owners are actively refurbishing the entire Hotel starting with the rooms and presumably will get on with exterior areas once these are done. A whole block of rooms were closed as under refurbishment and a lot of rooms have had new bathrooms and doors/windows. The garden areas are lovely and very well kept. When we arrived the room we were expecting was not available so we were upgraded to a Royal Palm Suite. This was a fantastic room on the Royal Palm beach which is a little more rocky than Sea Grapes or Eden beaches. 4 beaches in all and all lovely but Sea Grapes is the most rock free. The Eden beach is clothing optional. The room itself is literally right on the beach and closest to the restaurant and infinity Pool with a large bathroom and terrace with its own sun loungers. We asked for a mini bar at $10 a day extra and this was refilled every day. Anything extra wanted was a simple call to reception. Very handy as the area was very quiet and peaceful as the good in house evening entertainment was usually finished at 9.30 pm. Rooms and gardens were very clean and no issues with water pressure. Walkways are many and with gentle slopes and a few steps to access reception and the main restaurant. Not difficult. The infinity pool is beautiful, very clean and inviting. Staff come round regularly and offer drinks. Plenty of sunbeds always available. I appreciate we stayed out of season and it was very quiet but even when full, as the property is quite large, there would always be a quiet area for you to relax. This is not a Hotel with lots of activities. Food was good enough and although normally buffet style, because the Hotel was quiet, they had several night of a la carte which was lovely. Usual offerings at breakfast and plenty of choice for lunch and dinner. Only one main restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the second beach restaurant available for lunch only. We arranged a special beach dinner which was set up on the sand right outside our room. The Decorations and candles were lovely and the service superb. However the main course of Tuna was not good and we had to send it back. We did not order anything else and just enjoyed the evening. We did not complain however, Dellarie our waitress must have reported back to management as the management team caught up with us the following day and apologised. We were offered another beach dinner free of charge including Lobster which was unexpected and fantastic. Again a sign of the great attentive service. Overall very good and we certainly would and will return. Thank you Hawksbill. Read less
