The bedrooms are basic, but it’s clean, the shower is great and the bed very comfortable. Great pillows, loads of wardrobe space and drawers. Lovely balcony. Recommend upgrading to a Queen Room for space - 2 x double beds. Didn’t have one bad meal - the food is excellent! The staff are the friendliest and the most accommodating in the world! Judith and her singing brings character and an Antiguan welcome as always. Sandra is just the best waitress along with others whose names I can’t remember except for Maleke & Jason. And Carlos runs the long bar perfectly and his cocktails are heavenly! The gardens are beautiful. The steel band brought the Caribbean vibes perfectly. Just expect 3 star rooms - but the rest is lovely with a hotel on one of the best beaches on the island. Read less

I'll start by saying that more than a few reviews of this hotel seem to have been submitted by people expecting 5-star luxury, when they've only paid the money for a basic 3-star experience. I'll start by saying that more than a few reviews of this hotel seem to have been submitted by people expecting 5-star luxury, when they've only paid the money for a basic 3-star experience. Others, like myself, have more realistic expectations and were very happy! Brief thoughts as follows: Location - perfect. On a truly stunning beach, and short transfer time to/from airport. Rooms - dated, but clean. Sufficient storage space. Bed perfect, a very comfortable mattress. Food/drinks - not a huge variety but what there were, were very good, and all food was cooked through properly. Staff - almost without exception, an absolute credit to themselves and the hotel. Always smiling and happy to help. Keen to ensure guests are enjoying their time, which isn't always the case (I'm looking at you, Jamaica!). In summary, this hotel is under new management, and in the early stages of a total refurbishment from an extended period of closure after the pandemic. Objectively it's far from perfect, but subjectively it's great, in no small part due to the quality of staff they currently have. Much better value for money than some of the so-called luxury branded chain hotels. Just go there, chill out, and enjoy the hospitality of a wonderful island. Read less

Wasted enough time on the hotel without wasting more time writing how bad this place was for us. Most staff where amazing, quite a lot where lazy and couldn’t be bothered, as some of the managers also said.

This is a 3 star resort on a 5 star beach. The grounds are beautifully kept. The beach is gorgeous. The food is very good (minus the steak at the Italian restaurant and teriyaki steak at buffet, please buy a better cut of meat). My favorites were the bbq buffet, (minus the ribs)otherwise everything was delicious, and the roti at Indian buffet . Drinks are plentiful. Entertainment each night was a DJ, and one night steel bands. The long bar had their grand opening on our first day there . Thankfully that kept us a bit entertained after dinner . The resort needs to get back daytime and evening entertainment . The supermarket is less than a 5 minute walk away from the resort. The harbor is there as well as Petals restaurant , which we stopped for lunch one day. I recommend it. We had the standard king room, not huge ,but served our purpose. The bathroom could use a face-lift and a really food scrub down, but the beds were clean and comfortable. Would I return? For the price we paid, it's a great value and relaxing , but unless they got back daily entertainment , the answer is NO. Read less

The Jolly Beach is rated correctly as a 3.5*. The rooms do need a makeover but this is minor. The beach at this resort makes up for any imperfections of the rooms. The beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. Pros and Cons Pros: the beach is Incredible No problem getting chairs Pools: are nice, clean and no problem getting chairs Food: very good, yes it can have more variety but the quality and taste is good. Drinks: the staff does not hold back on alcohol, everyday they have a drink of the day Very quiet resort, perfect for relaxing. No one bothers you to buy this or that. Staff is really friendly, ask for June at the breakfast restaurant, she's great Cons: sand flies are deadly, so many bites, insect repellent is a must Room: house keeping is done once a week, if you want your room cleaned daily there is a daily charge, I think it's $10.00 USD per day Towels are not changed daily, you need to ask at front desk to change them No mini fridge in the room and no bottled water is provided. If you want water, there is a grocery store 5 min walk from the resort, this is what we did we bought a bottle of water and then filled it up daily at the bar No entertainment at the resort, this needs to be changed, some form of entertainment is needed at night as there is nothing to do Excursions: look for Cloud on the beach, supper friendly and very knowledgeable of the island, his prices are reasonable, we booked 2 excursions with him and had a great time. I rate my vacation a 4**** Read less
